    The Super Cruise subscription will cost U.S. customers $25 per month on a standalone basis, meaning without another OnStar plan/subscription. Alternatively, it can be added to certain OnStar plans or bundles for $15 per month.
    The need for a subscription is only now starting to come to light for Cadillac owners, since the very earliest Cadillac CT6 models with Super Cruise are only now coming out of the three-year included subscription period. For those vehicles, Cadillac has added a one-year extension to that period, though only for original owners.

      Not a chance I will pay for a subscription for ANYTHING on a car I own. BMW is trying this nonsense with heated seats, etc. Screw that, and them.

      @@OMGWTFLOLSMH SIRIUS Radio is a joke. I use my own music from my cell phone. I do pay $25 a month for the on-star package which allows me to use the Chevy App to do a number of things. Also in the event, the car is stolen or I'm in a crash they do it all. It's sort of like having extra car insurance. I love the feature that when there is traffic slowing down ahead it will redirect us around on an alternate route.

    How comfortable are the front seats? I tried a 2022 and they seem a little hard. Car and Driver claimed that the seats were going to be redone so I am curious if they are more comfortable/

    If they had kept the slap stick shifter I would have gone for it just to get wireless phone and supercruise but push button drive is as bad as the twisty shifters! I like to know my gear and regen without taking my eyes off the road! Love my 2020 Bolt Premier and will stay with it until I see something better!

    Thanks for the video! The adaptive cruise control is quite conservative with Super Cruise. I'm guessing it was set to the minimal distance between you and the car in front beforehand?

    • @OMGWTFLOLSMH

      More like the maximum distance, if it's even configurable.

    There are several driving situations I’d like to see demonstrated: (1) slower car merging into your lane from the right; (2) faster car that cuts ahead of you but too close; (3) what differences if any when in the fast lane (if advisable to use super cruise in the fast lane at all). Do brake lights come on when super cruise slows the car?

    can you talk about cost? i heard they're switching to a subscription based system--how much is it, and can you subscribe a month at a time if you're going on a big trip, or do they make you subscribe for a full year+ at a time?

      I wish you could order it separately. In Canada you have to order it in a package with sunroof and navigation, which I have no desire for. I can't stand sunroofs and factory navs quickly become obsolete.

    Did you find it was actually comfortable to use? To just sit there with my hands on my lap, staring ahead, seems almost more tiring than just steering the car on the interstate. What are your thoughts and 'arriving more relaxed'?

    I am interested in EUV. But the dealership markup basically swipes away most of the discount price advantage. EUV without tax credit but with markup, it's similar price to VW ID4. Seeing this video, I compared the wind noise and vibration, I leaned towards ID4, because it could be more comfortable, needless to say it's bigger.

      Let it be known GM has passed a policy banning any of their dealerships from doing any form of a dealer mark up on their EV’s GM stated it’s a three strike rule and after the 3rd report of mark ups GM will strip the dealer of the franchise. Picking up my EUV today. The dealer tried that stunt with me and I told them I knew the policy and they quickly changed their tune and dropped the mark up.

    • @DrCalebHk
      @DrCalebHk Год назад

      @@greghatfield1274 It is good news. I just asked around couple dealerships a few days ago. ALL of them charge mark up. Some said they do not charge mark up, but in fact they put a lot of 'add-on' to sell them together with the car.

    • @DriveBreakFixRepeat
      @DriveBreakFixRepeat  Год назад +1

      Ehhh, not so much. The adaptive cruise control part works fine, but the follow distance is pretty far with SC, so if anyone cuts in front of you -- which happens non-stop here -- it will slam on the brakes and want to disengage. Check out my review video on the EUV, I touch on this more there.

    My problem with the Bolt, at least in my area, one dealer is asking for a $ 5,000 markup on top of the MSRP, and that makes them as expensive as a Tesla Model 3. So that means any savings are gone, I might as well buy a Model 3.

      No, Super Cruise uses sensors in the car to "read" the driver's face and make sure that you're broadly paying attention. You can see the GoPro camera occasionally reacting to it (it looks like the screen on the car is flashing).
