Jennifer, soups are SO easy and fun to make! I’ll just share one warning though. Once you start making your own soups, you’ll never really enjoy canned soups as much again. Homemade soup is just worlds better!!
@julieobrien4056 Are you sure they are easy, lol because I try to make it, and for some reason, it always looks so watery when it's supposed to be thick, lol what am I doing wrong?
@@JenniferD.-wt4uj When she has you add in the flour, that will act as a thickening agent. Or, you can mix a little corn starch and water mixture (mixed together before adding to the soup to remove lumps), and add it to thicken it. And often adding potatoes helps to thicken soups. It really depends on the soup which method to use.
@julieobrien4056 well, thank you very much 😊 for the advice. I guess I was never a soup eater at a young age. Maybe that's why I never made them lol until a month ago, lol.
You have a real knack for knowing what I need at just the right time . Doesn’t get cooled down where I’m at for a few months but I’ve really been craving soup this week anyway. Love this little classic soup recipe collection!

Here in Arizona it's still in the high to mid 90's during the day. So not so much soup season yet. But I am blessed with a open minded hubby & a son who eats almost everything. So I can try soups almost any time.

Loved your soup recipes! I made the potato soup last night (even though it was 94 degrees) and it came out delicious! I told my family I didn't care how hot it was, it was October 1st and my mind was in the cool, fall air somewhere up north! I think Creamy Tortilla Soup is next! Wow 10/10 on all these😍 it's still going to be almost 90° this week😭 but I was gifted some straight from the farm ingredients of tomatoes, eggs, bacon, and sausage so I'm making that minestrone with sausage and the potato soup asap🤤😂. They freeze well and after this week we will have fall weather🍁🍂, who doesn't love a hearty easy thaw meal when it's chilly❤.

Love minestrone soup...one I can eat for lunch all week. I'm sure my son would love the potato soup. I make chicken tortilla soup or taco soup quite a bit because I enjoy the combination of flavors. I have a ton of little red potatoes I could use for that. Thanks Julia.

Julie, I LOVE soup. Thank you for some new recipes to try. One tip i learned over the years is when i make creamy soups, i use dehydrated potato flakes to thicken it instead of flour. Especially when i make potato soup. I had run out of flour but had instant potatoes and it worked great.

I just love all your recipes! Just made your chicken orzo soup tonight. Make it all the time. Had some dental surgery on Friday and can't eat anything I really have to chew much. Your soups here all look amazing. I have to find some kind of lactose free cheese that actually taste good because I love broccoli cheese soup.

Some great recipes! I like orzo pasta for chicken noodle soup. Can highly recommend using white pepper in something like the potato soup, it’s so different from black pepper but absolutely delicious.

All of these look great. All are easily adapted to the instant pot too. Sauté mode for the onion/veg and then either quick pressure cook or slow cook. Yum.

I make lots of soups in the Fall and Winter seasons. I'm vegetarian, so I super often make mock "chicken" noodle or rice soup using tofu as chicken. I make a mean minestrone as well and just finished my broccoli cheese soup off yesterday! Now I can add more variety utilizing your other soups!!!! They all looked so yummy!!!!

Yea soup time. Yummy they all look good. It was a cool 68 degrees in Texas this morning. High of 90. I'm loving it.

Hi Julia! 👋 I make potato soup the exact same way. The only two things I do different are that I add a block of room temperature cream cheese. I just cube it and add it. And I also add fresh New Mexico green chile. 😁
