    This really works! I was looking to buy a new vanity and faucet, then I tried this and the stains and buildup are gone...looks like a new sink and faucet!! Thanks for the tip. Just one more use for my favorite go-to...white distilled vinegar!!

    Rubber bands help too
    Edit: also if you have an electric toothbrush, wait it you have to replace the head (clean it first) and use that.

    Tried this and it ruined my nickel Waterworks faucets. The faucet pictured here looks like a lacquered nickel finish, or possibly even a fad nickel finish. Do not soak true nickel in vinegar for more than a few minutes. Beware!

    Removing hard water on sink fixtures- I’ve tried it all.. vinagre, vinagre baking soda, Ajax, lemon baking soda, lemon salt, Lysol, comet, scrubbing bubbles, awesome, oxiclean, CLR, and bar keepers friend(which works but with time and plenty of elbow grease). Best and easiest thing is ... WD40. 🤦🏼‍♀️ save yourself the time and money.

    You should have removed the handles. There would most probably be more mineral deposits under the handles.
    If all Delta faucets use the same size of socket screws, you need a 3/32” Allen/hex key to retract the socket screws a bit (just enough to pull off the handles).

    • @24rxman

    What can I use to get the hard water deposits off of my Moen brushed nickel sink faucets? I know that vinegar & Clr can damage the finish but not sure what else I can use instead. Any suggestions? Thanks!

    • @HappiFix
      @HappiFix  7 лет назад

      Sorry for the late response Jennifer, I've been swamped with work/school.
      When you say finish, I am guessing the granite. I usually just use a cloth to keep the vinegar contained and not allow it to seep onto my granite.
