New challenge idea: paint by numbers. Build your house in white. Then roll for each room. I.e if you roll a 3 every item in the room needs to use the 3rd colour swatch.
yeah!! it totally gives the vibe of a house that has been partially renovated by a family that moved in, who also brought some of their old furniture. Like someone had an all purple room in the old house, which is where all purple bedroom furniture came from. And they decided to not replace the blue counters that the previous owner put in because it would be too much work just for a change of color (maybe they plan on painting them later...). It's such a mood.
Thank god someone else said this. My stuff is definitely mismatched, colour and probably style wise. I think the whole matching decor is for staging homes and dunno rich celebrities. Especially funny to me when some sim builders comment there's no cohesion between rooms in terms of colour - I never pick the same colour scheme for my bedsheets and my living room rug to "tie it in" lol

I can DEFINITELY picture this place being haunted. Like with the classic rocking chairs rocking themselves, the candles flickering non and off, the piano playing itself at night, even the bassinet could be super creepy! Like total Haunted Mansion vibes for me for sure

I've recently had so much fun combining the coloring book and rainbow rooms challenges. So basically first you do every room is a different color and after you're done with that you go in and change all the swatches. And to add more chaos every room is a different RANDOM color😅
Also, I don’t want to sound like that person, but I’m so freaking paranoid when I accidentally push the dislike button, bc at one point when you’d push it it said ‘feedback shared with the creator’ and now I freak out every time I accidentally push itttt! Bc when it’s full screen and I go to push it, there’s like no room and it’s hard to aim your finger to such a small button! Again, I’m aware of what this comment sounds like, but I just hate that they might get a notification that says ‘someone disliked your video’ when it was an accident and I LOVE the video! 😭😅

This is a challenge that is fun to watch but too hard for me to do. I think some of the colors that mismatched made the house look like it was in the middle of being redecorated by the owners. So could be gameplay oriented. I like the "owner" bedroom better in color but the "family" bedroom better in white. Very cool.
Except about like two parts of the house I actually like it. I would give it 7/10. It's is pretty. It's actually very pretty, even despite the odd combo of colours.
I actually think the purple furniture against the kind of ochre yellow wallpaper works really well! Yellow and purple are complementary colours so I think they look nice. If everything else in the room was a bit more harmonious with those colours I think it would have looked really good.

Sometimes it’s a guessing game which color you’re using cause the stupid filter refuses to properly sort the items.
