I love your reactions to Elvis! I envy you getting to know him through videos. Let me fill you in on how we were introduced to him back in the day. There were no music videos in the '50s. And most of us had no opportunity to see him live. He became an international superstar in 1956 through radio, records, magazines and an occasional appearance on tv. And still he had a magical way of stealing our hearts. And while most young people think the fancy jumpsuits were his signature thing, he actually didn't start wearing them until around 1970. I have a challenge for you. I would like to see you react to the studio versions of "Love Me Tender", "Are You Lonesome Tonight", and "Ready Teddy". And just for fun check out the live version of "Tiger Man" on the '68 Comeback Special.
I would also say to try, trying to get to you, from that same segment of the 1968 Comeback Special or he's playing with his old band minus the amazing bass player Bill black I think his name was.
