  • Although the PHAC has set a target of 80% pneumococcal vaccination coverage, only 54.7% of Canadians aged 65+ were vaccinated as of 2023. Dr. Sinha and Dr. Jia Hu, Public Health Physician at the BC Centre for Disease Control, discuss the urgent need to improve pneumococcal vaccination rates among older adults and share policy and practice recommendations to address this gap.
