No, deploy does not need to be required to have a better atk. The blast comes from your attack. Let me explain this in a better way. When you try to lock a target your deploy will always do 1 attack like every 1.5 seconds. Let say your stat is already high enough to defeat clan dungeon lv 12 and everything you hit is a crit. The blast becomes more effective if your damage is good enough. The only issue is try not to get your deploy being killed. Otherwise, you will have to reset yourself. Also, wind and blast viper is your best combo for clan
