I am British, but I live in Argentina and I must say this is the best review I have seen on this vehicle. It is a best seller in Argentina too. Thank you, and very well done!
Even if it’s an old video, I’m here in 2023. The only video which has caught my eye for every second. I was looking for an in depth review as I’m looking to buy a pre owned in 2023 and this video has completely stood out and has boosted me 100 times more than I was to go for a pre owned fortuner😆 Automatic 4x4🥵🥵
The most comprehensive review I have come across. Living in Thailand it's not easy to find a review on these in English, particularly on the older model and from a long term ownership perspective. Much appreciated.
One of the best reviews I’ve ever seen on the previous gen Fortuner. Being a Fortuner owner myself I could relate to most of the points being highlighted. Would love to see more such videos 👍
Best car review of my life . I am amazed wth your in depth technical insight n command over language . Only team bhp hv ppl matching yr auto intellect.
Just recently became a Fortuner owner. Yet to become fully familiar with the machine. Your video has given a conceptual understanding of the brand and the engineering behind it. Found it enlightening. Thank you
The best information on Toyota Fortuner I have come across from any source in India. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge of the car in detail.
Wonderfully articulated review. Here's my experience. The Fortuner has been my obsession since it's launch in India. I should say it was the motivation behind my life choices so I can claim mine. I didn't flinch to buy a 2nd owner car which clocked 95k kms. I got a general report from Toyota service centre and it was all good to go. My 2017 4x4 AT gives me 11.5 in the city and 14 kmpl on highways. I test it regularly between every filling. It depends on how light footed you're on the throttle. Maintain the revs below 1500 rpm, in Eco mode, in 2wd, and you will be surprised by the fuel efficiency. Sure, that kind of snail paced driving (under 40 in city and 90 on highways) is not for everyone. Also, the ride gets significantly comfortable when it's in full occupancy of 7 passengers and luggage in the boot. Overall, this is a machine I trust with my life.
nice review! been driving a 2.4L 2016 model for 5 years in the Philippines. I bought the V series which is all leather deluxe version 2 WD. This review is spot on.. I have and still love this vehicle. .. I will add though that I am disappointed with the the drivers side carpeting wear .. even and also the the drivers side seat has developed a tear where the drivers hip always brushes upon entering. Also the the sorry mapping system is useless and cant be updated. And strange that it has no power seats or tilt wheel or passenger side controls. the wife wants to control windows and and locks all around.. and she should! Just now replaced front disk pads and rotor at 50K. The ABS warning light went off 2 days before scarring on the rotor .. so my bad for not replacing immediately could have saved me over $100.00 USD. Great car!
Thanks Scott and your observations are spot on! The wear points you mention are usual Toyota bugbears and my older 80 Series Land Cruiser had these issues too, but that was 23 years old! The ICE system is certainly pre-historic and it's only with this year's models that they have finally added Apple Carplay and Android Auto! Enjoy yours!
dude is a boy scout - so well prepared! Great review of a loved car, and a really useful insight to this Toyota. Appreciate your mini review of the Endeavour too. Thanks!
first time i saw your fortuner review video on another channel and finally came across your own channel, hope to watch more videos on Toyota's especially qna videos.
Thank you for your kind words! I'm steering this to be a tech channel, so not focussing on automotive content. But also planning to do automotive content on another channel. Do stay connected!
amazing review.. it has been long time since i have seen a vehicle review without forwarding the video. Truly cut throat to the point which everyone is looking forward to see and know. All the best ..keep up the good work.
I own a used fortuner and surfed a lot searching good review before going for purchase but I couldn’t find. Finally I got this one which ruled out my doubts regarding the suspension and body roll. Thanks for such a good review
Kudos to this review. Well structured and reasoned explanation for all aspects. One can really appreciate and rely upon such informed reviewers. Thanks for the upload !
This is how a review should be structured and detailed… i wonder why the views are so less… good work👍🏻 I’m myself looking for a used fortuner… the same model as yours.
Great car!!! Very reliable , been driving in hilly terrain and really bad roads for a year now. No suspension issues, great engine. Only the seats squeaks and the airbag clock spring is the only major issue!
@@TechnologyRig - that particular component malfunctions and your horn gradually stops working. Next up the airbag lights come on and the buttons of your steering wheels stop working. Heard that it is common in Toyota cars in India. Cost around 13k to replace. Btw great video and thank you for such prompt reply. ( did not expect). I have a 2013 4w manual. Clocked around 1.5 lakhs km and still no major issues. I live in Sikkim and we got bad roads during monsoons.
What I really like about the video is the way how you explain every intricate detail. It was as though Shashi Tharoor was reviewing this Fortuner. A great review. Well done!
Fantastic and very much structured review...never boring and instead of relevant and interesting to follow till the end..All the very best for your upcoming reviews and happy driving..
A very good review. Helpful. I am buying a 2010 Fortuna, 3.0 diesel hoping to squeeze out another 5 years of it trouble free. The roads are bad, so it should work.

Amazing Review Sir....👏👏👏...please do post more auto reviews...You have explained and covered every aspect very well including pros and cons of the vehicle and gave a really great first hand owner's account of the vehicle....which is the experience that we require out of the reviews in order to get to understand the vehicle and your review was more worth watching and informative than most of the auto experts out there...whose reviews are either simply a PR job for the brand or, are being given from the perspective of a person who has had so much experience reviewing cars that in their minds they have simply forgotten that their review was intended for the layman and not for auto industry experts, hence from laymen perspective it makes no real sense or in other words, we can't really appreciate what the other person is really trying to convey... because in their mind they are comparing the car with several others they have driven like Mercedes, Porsche etc. and though they themselves are thinking that they have made a wonderful review, but in no way does it connect to us...your review on the other hand simply struck a cord...and therefore was even more worth watching... please continue the good job sir...
Aishwarya thank you so much for your kind words. Glad you enjoyed it and I’ve taken note of your feedback. I have to choose a niche for this channel so may do auto content on the other channel I have. Do stay connected for updates! 🙏
A very comprehensive review. This is the best video I have come across from any source. Wanted to know if you would recommend buying a 10-year-old automatic (2013 Fortune 3.0) that has clocked 1.3L and the intention is to keep the fortune for another 10 years and use it every day.
would love to see a review by you on the pajero sports manual. Since you have given a very good comparison of the Fortuner to the new one and the Endeavor, a Pajero sports review of just the vehicle as a buy would be great.
Best Video review of the Fortuner available on RUclips! Your review puts all the so-called car reviewers on youtube hiding in shame! Great respect Sir and a very in depth review. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED!

Hi I'm looking for reverse parking sensor for my 2013 innova 2.5 v from a genuine Toyota showroom or from elsewhere only thing is that it should not look like aftermarket you are a very will known knowledgeable person please replay
You can certainly get them from the showroom but they will cost a lot more than going to a good aftermarket dealer. Most accessories for these Toyotas are available in Thailand and Dubai regions, so there is a good selection available in the aftermarket. Just choose a reputable installer. Obviously with parking sensors, the bumper will need to be drilled, but a competent installer can do this easily. If you still want to go to a main dealer, they also have an accessory section that can sort this out for you.

Mitsu make selected but heavily engineered vehicles to last for decades. Only downside is the non-existent ASC support.
Great review, also a unique way of explaining. Sir the question is, is it worth buying a 2014 model fortuner which has done 1.3 Lakh km or should I buy the new scorpio n
It is really difficult to find good condition fortuners that have not been clocked. If you can find one in good condition, you cannot go wrong with a Fortuner. The Scorpio N will feel much more modern though as it has electric power steering. The best way is to drive both back to back and then decide.
