Danke für dieses schöne Video. Am 21. Oktober war ja der Gedenktag unseres seligen Kaisers, der Hochzeitstag von ihm und Kaiserin Zita. Ich suchte nach Unterlagen und landete unter anderem hier! Ich war bei der Seligsprechung in Rom, weil es mich interessierte, was nun diesen Schritt ausmachte. Es war äußerst beeindruckend!

Was so young and put into the most difficult position one can imagine, yet still he made every effort to do the right thing for his people, under different circumstances would have accomplished many great things
I wonder if people take into consideration the level of qualification it requires to be a world leader? There are some who want to be in power but do they count the cost of the sterling character to rule effectively and in a just manner for the good and well being of their people? Many when they come to power don't know what Todo with it once they have it! Just a thought or two of speculation!

Karl's great-uncle, Kaiser Franz Josef sealed they fate of the Habsburg monarchy when he declared war on Serbia leading to WW1. Kaiser Karl offered peace in 1916, but was rebuffed by the French and British governments. Had they accepted his peace proposal, millions of lives could have been saved, no Nazi Germany, no communist revolution in Russia.
Kaiser Franz was obligated by serbs to declare war, the respect for Habsburgs were violated.

This man is pretty much a saint in Austria. Coloured portrait cards are available from St Peter's Church, Vienna. It’s touching to see him respected, venerated even, 100 years after his death.

Et, qu'enfin l'Autriche rapatrie le corps de sa Majesté Impériale et Royale Karl afin qu'il repose enfin auprès de sa chère épouse Zita et de son cher fils Otto dans la crypte des Capucins, seul endroit digne du dernier Empereur régnant.

Der leider auch nicht die Größe hatte,sich den Thron zu versagen,denn zum Zeitpunkt des Todes von Kaiser Franz mußte jedem klar Denkenden bewußt sein,daß das Ende der Habsburger Herrlichkeit längst eingeläutet war.
