I wanted to build a desk for my new home office, but I wanted it to be something that I can keep forever. So, I called in an expert woodworker to help me make fancy furniture in my garage workshop! We had 2 days to get the job done... did we do it? Watch to find out!

Honestly great question: just a simple time constraint. Faster to knock it all out with biscuits than traditional joinery methods. We only had 2(ish) days 😂

Sam, I’m so very much a left-handed mouse person, too. Had a right shoulder torn rotator cuff surgery and as a result found using my right hand on a mouse is just so cornfusing!!

Question, you garage is like mine. No ceiling and no insulation on the rafters. Does that mini-split do you any good? I have a 1957 house with the same type of garage. It's 110º in the summer here at times. But with the high uninsulated roof, I'm not sure if a mini-split would do any good. Thanks! Great job you guys! I watch Erik all the time. Subscribed.

Wait, what?! How did you attach the top to the desk? What legs did you use? I’m missing the rest of the build. 😢
I gotcha! At the end of the video you can see me screwing a small support block into the top of the cabinet from the underside. I epoxied the desk top to that. I also attached metal legs I found on Amazon to the other side, but I cover that in the resin table tutorial I mentioned I’d link to in the video description since we blew through the build in this one. I hope that helps! 😊

Incredible backwall
This was fun to watch. But I am so frustrated. I went to Eric's channel to see if he showed what you didn't. He showed a little bit more but not what i wanted to see. What hardware did you choose to be the leg of your slab? Did you attach the slab to the cabinet, and if you did, how did you do it? If you didn't attach the slab, is it heavy enough that it doesn't move if it is bumped? Why didn't you include adding the slab to the cabinet in your video?
Hi friend! We packed sooo much into what was supposed to be a 2 day build, that we just didn’t get a chance to film everything. But, no big! I’m happy to share!
We attached one side of the slab to the desk by screwing a small block of wood to the top of the desktop to act as a spacer (you can see me kind of screwing it in at the end of the video when I’m laying under the desk). I then epoxied the desk top to that piece so it doesn’t move, but it can still be unscrewed from the underside if I need to move it. The other side of the desk is just a metal leg I found on Amazon.
