Thanks for doing this! I live in a location where I pretty much need to buy anything I want to try, and then sell it if it doesn’t jive with me. Videos like this are bound to save me loads of time and money LOL. Keep it up!
You’re welcome! That’s why I originally started doing this as well. I have to buy and sell pedals to try them anymore, so now I make sure I try to record them before I get rid of them or to share the ones I decide to keep.
Oh also, if you're interested in DanDrive pedals I'm hoping to get a chance soon to record and post a comparison between the Austin Blender, Austin Pride and Secret Weapon!
Can't say either don't sound wonderful! Almost entirely attributed to your playing and secondarily your rig as a whole but I definitely favor the AP by a fairly large margin from what you demonstrated of the tonal capabilities of each in this particular instance! Thank you for everything you do to share with the community!
Oh man, great suggestion! I’m probably not going to post both fuzzes going into the Dumbloid in the same video, but I built an awesome little pedalboard to go into a clean amp that just rocks. I’ll try and record it soon.
Same here, both pedals are fantastic and for fuzz addict like myself, different enough to be worth keeping. This was an experiment I wanted to do when I realized you could mix a GE with an SI in the Pride which is what the Myriad is. For those who maybe don’t love fuzz as much and just want one fuzz, I figure this might help them decide between them.
That’s a tough call. The Austin Pride has more variety in it with being able to switch each side between silicon or germanium and the easier to get to bias adjustment. The Myriad though has more range of usability within the fuzz range and tone as well as more output level. I think I’d lean towards the Austin Pride, as it does the cleanup on a Strat thing really well and the Myriad is a little closer to my Fuzz Factory 7. That said, this is the second Myriad I’ve owned, sold one before and eventually bought another one. Vemuram really nails the aesthetic and physical feel of their pedals, making them almost as nice to look at as to play.
Actually no, this is direct in through OX with the line level way down and leveled to -2bd peak. Knowing I was recording fuzz, I double checked everything first to have a large margin. The crackle is the fuzz plus overdriving the preamp of the Bloomfield.

Thank you so much for your kind words! Both great pedals, similar in many ways, but react and sound different in others.
Cool comparison, I would love to hear them with your Dumbloid :)
I’ll make that happen!
@@GuitarTonePro awesome :)
Always open to suggestions, so for at least now while my channel is small I will try to do all requests if I still have the gear.

@@GuitarTonePro That would be great I love your pedalboard and how to dial in your tone videos, so interesting :)
both sound great and your playing is steller also, but i prefer the silktone fuzz great pedal.
Thanks! I have the Silktone on my very long “To Try” list.
I have both of these pedals and why not. I had to save up for them both as I’m just a poor boy though my story’s seldom told. 😵💫

Impressive setup. Curious if you've ever tried the Jam Pedals Fuzz Phase and if so, what do you think?
Thanks! Unfortunately I have not had a chance to try a Fuzz Phase, but everything I’ve tried by Jam Pedals has been top notch so I’m sure it’s good.
Great vid. Liked and sub’d
Thanks!
so if you had to choose one, which wins?
