Very nice glasses !! I want to ask why you got progressive lenses and what power . I also have a minus prescription ( - 3.00 ) and i heard about progressives for reading if i am not mistaken ?
You did a very good review of the glasses you got from Firmoo. As a former optician something you said makes me question something you said in your video. You said that your glasses don't have progressive lenses in them which I assume some of your glasses are progressives? But you knew what your prescription is, which you said in reply when you were asked what your prescription is, you replied -2.50. So I assume both eyes are a -2.50 prescription. I have a feeling that you may have simply used the prescription of your contacts to order your glasses with. If you did, your glasses are almost certainly weaker than they should be. As an optician I very very rarely ever saw a glasses prescription match a contact lens prescription for several reasons. Here's why they don't match each other. Your contact lenses sit directly on your corneas and the lenses in your glasses are approximately 3/4" in front of your corneas. So for that reason alone your glasses need to be slightly stronger than your contacts. in your case probably only an additional -.25. So rather being -2.50 most likely -2.75. But there's another issue as well that may or may not be an issue for you. Do you remember the doctor saying anything to you about astigmatisms? If you were told you have astigmatisms that would be included in your glasses prescription, but ignored in your contacts. It's very common to have either -.25 or -.50 cylinder (CYL) as a part of your glasses prescription but not included in your contact prescription. Now there's no harm in not having it in your glasses. But by not having it you're not seeing quite as well as you should be. Now the reason doctors will ignore it in contacts is because to include it requires a special type of contact lens called "toric lenses" Toric lenses would cost about 3 - 4 times more than what you are currently paying for your contacts. A clue for me that you may have used your contact lens prescription is both eyes being the exact same prescription. Now I do see that happen quite a bit, but doctors will often do their best to make both eyes the same when possible to allow you not be ordering two different prescriptions for your contacts and also no issue with getting them mixed up and putting the wrong prescription in your eyes. Now I want to stress to you that your not doing any harm to your eyes by wearing your new glasses as they are. However, if yo want your eyesight to be as perfect as possible it isn't going to be with those glasses. So my suggestion would be to get in contact with Firmoo and tell them that you used your contact lenses prescription to order your glasses and see if they might replace them for you at no charge. Trust me you won't be the first one calling that has done the same thing as you. Many of the on-line sites really do have good return policies. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me.
Thank you for watching my video and I appreciate you commenting here! The comments that I wrote wasn't my full prescription :) I just don't want to share all of it. Firmoo asked me for my full precription, of course, OD: sphere: , cylinder: , axis: OS: sphere: , cylinder: , axis: ADD: Pupillary Distance (PD): All of that :) So the glasses fir me perfectly so far! And I would love to order more from them :)
@@polina.shadrinaaa First of thank you your reply. So I'm glad that you did use your glasses prescription to order your glasses. The fact that you didn't provide your full prescription is fine, but just so you know providing your full prescription isn't something that anyone could use to expose anything about you aside from your glasses prescription of course which would be useless to anyone except you. But not sharing was fine of course. in your video your glasses appeared to fit you rather well. But as an optician I did see one thing that most women never ever want to have their glasses do. They never want their eyebrows blocked or covered by their glasses. As you can see, your glasses are completely covering your eyebrows. Now it's possible that by taking them to any local optical store they could adjust them enough to allow for your brows to be seen. They can heat the frame and spread the bridge, that's the part that fits on your nose, apart slightly which will then lower them on your nose slightly. Even though i like your new glasses I especially like your round wireframed pair you were wearing in the beginning of your video. Here's why. Your a very attractive young woman, just in case you weren't aware of it, so you should never hide too much of your lovely face with glasses. You always want your glasses to enhance your already great looks. Firmoo is a very good glasses site and they offer really good quality glasses at a very reasonable price. Generally around as I recall. But having been an optician that worked with quite a few lovely glasses wearing young ladies I soon became aware of many very good glasses sites thanks to them. Even though our store provided each of them with a new pair of glasses every 6 months they were often on-line glasses shopping. I of course was then able to get a very good look at their glasses. Here are a few sites you should check out that are equally as good as Firmoo and even slightly lower in price as well. Zenni Optical, Lensmart, Payne Glasses and Eye Buy Direct all offer glasses as low as $7.00 and that includes the lenses in your prescription. They have hundreds more for under $20.00 as well.
