Looking forward to seeing the rest of the development of this. As much as you can show without giving anything away to the rest of the race class obviously. Is 102° coolant temps bad long term for the engine or is there a “race” coolant that doesn’t retain heat the same that could be used, or is it bonnet chopping time if you want to lower temps? Good luck with the season too 🍻
We have an additive in the water already to help temps. I think a bonnet vent is next along with possibly moving the radiator and intercooler into a different position so we can duct it better.
Less internal and engine bay heat, slightly more simple and no transient lag was the main reasons Transmission is stock honda, but with hyrbid racing shifting components
@@HCRWorks thats cool, 10 years ago, i build a s2000 that had a scorched piston. My machine shop sleeved it using a 2mm melling repair sleeve due to the special cylinder wall, stroked it using a K24 crank and added a Vortech blower. It made 415 Whp at 13psi. Your Civic is very inspiring, co clean. I would love to see the underside and see all that cool Aero.
@@petelawton-hcr_works6059 yeah my own has 8k rev limit but 5.06fd but IV ep3 gear set and 18" wheels I'm going to rev it to 8300 to see the difference and hope it'll help they are rapid through the gears great video and hope the season goes great for ye il be following it

pedal cam for showing off those fancy pedals haha. btw, is it me, or does the BOV vent proper slowly?
It's a different type of BOV to normal, it stays open until boost is made, so seems slow/ open for a long time because it is
@@HCRWorks whats the diference to normal in performance? Thanks so much

Sounds Great and a fantastic build. Whats the weight of the car??
We weighed it this weekend 1044kg
@@petelawton-hcr_works6059 Quality . Very inspiring. one of my favourite builds & channels
Why did you guys choose a RPM limited supercharger and not turbo? And why do your shift sound so crisp? Is that a stock Honda transmission?
