Good video on this unorthodox shotgun. I just picked up one of these and so far, I love it. Compact, decent recoil, high capacity, and so far vey reliable.
It's a very fun shotgun to shoot! I found that mine doesn't seem to like federal ammo very much. Even high end. And only when switching to a new tube. Buts it's done awesome with fiocci! I put another 125 rounds through yesterday. It's a very well thought out shotgun no doubt
This is an extremely unique firearm and an absolute beast. It is definitely picky when it comes to ammo as with virtually all semiautomatic bullpup shotguns. You have to feed it what it wants. IWI does specify using high velocity rounds. When you find a round that runs well in it, stick with that round and after 500+ rounds it runs like a dream. It can also be a combination of rounds as long as they’re rounds that you’ve ran consistently without issue. No FTC, FTF, FTE or stovepiping. Although it’s hard to limp wrist this thing as with every trigger pull you feel like you’re in Starship Troopers.
Bought my TS 12 almost 3 years ago but you have more rounds thru yours than mine. Local indoor range wants rifled slugs only so bought a bunch of Sauk rifled slugs. Went thru 90 rounds & talk about smoke coming from each round ! Also when I got home the gas chamber was filled solid with lead freezing the piston in place. Really dirty ammo & next time I'll limit myself to 40 rounds. Got Winchester Super X rifled slugs to try. Plus a Carson rifled Improved Cylinder choke to try out. That 1st range day though was impressive as from about 30 yards hitting the Bullseye consistently. I have a Holosun 512C red dot scope & pretty happy with it.
@@primeddefender I taped the lever on my battery compartment to keep it in place. Noticed recoil jarred it loose. Other than that its been steady on the shot gun. Nice price point too.
I've only been able to take mine out twice and it has flawless for me through 400 rounds. The only person who didn't like it was my left handed sister. I'm interested to see what light you go with.
It's an awesome shotgun! They thought everything out on it really well for sure. What brand ammo have you used? I found that mine doesn't really like Federal when I switch to a new tube but it runs fiocci amazing. And I'll be doing a 1000 round review and full set up video pretty soon
@@primeddefender mostly winchester high brass game loads and about 40 rounds of the federal flight control 00 buck. When I go out again I'll try slugs to sight in a new holosun optic

HISTORY When the *_TS12 Israeli Bullpup Shotgun_* was 1st used in the Middle East it was a pure military weapon that used full power shells only. When it was decided to sell it to civilians (mainly US civilians) problems and delays in making a reliable shotgun that used both full power buckshot and low powered shot shells occurred. WARNING IWI (IMI) TS12 _"Bugs"_ include: - Jamming with low powered ammo - an unknown break-in period - reliability issues especially when new - shells that catch in the ejection port - a rotary magazine that if it gets mud, dirt and/or foreign matter in it is VERY HARD to clean - a _Kel-Tec-ish_ rotation lever you press to rotate the magazine tube feels cheap *The QUESTION* These issues/problems have many wondering is the IWI TS12 Bullpup Shotgun a bad gimmick or a serious shotgun that you can rely on. Another question is why buy a troubled TS12 over other shotguns that are known reliable?? *_April 17th Tax Day!_*
From what I have seen the vast majority of them have been extremely reliable. Other than the one hick up with mine it has ran like a champ and is one of my favorite guns to shoot at the range. 1000 round review will be coming soon with it. But there're definitely a few out there that are undoubtedly reliable. I believe the benefits of this shotgun are plenty for sure though
@@primeddefender Interesting answer as the IWI (IMI) TS12 has a clear history of problems (see above comment). Did IWI fix this shotgun?? I still see vids in 2022/2023 showing jams, hangups, and breaking in periods, etc. For $1,200 USD average price... I don't know. I like, no love the concept but it has to work, every time for *_serious_* shotgun work. The jury is out on the IWI TS12 (IMO). Buyer beware.
@@sweetcostarica like I said most of what I have seen it has been pretty reliable which is why I bought it in the first place. There's always videos of problems of most every gun out there no matter how good they are. Now I'm not saying that there is nobody having problems with them or even that I didn't have the hickup with mine that is since worked out but overall from what I have seen it's a good shotgun especially with its benefits.
