The "Era of the great dragon" mission is also a little hard to complete, but it gives you a permanent -5% all powers cost. Also really worth it to pursue that before forming Manchu/Qing.

The two things I can think of to improve this Start further is take more loans as you grant provinces to Dali - @Bobbius mentioned this and how, though it can be a bit tedious. The second is make some Trade companies. China can make Trade companies in all but one of its main trade nodes (because there is state in those trade notes but outside the China subcontinent). This will allow you too boost income by a ton, getting a lot of production efficiency in your stated homelands and traders early on, kind of similar how Muscovy can dramatically boost income if it moves capital to Caucasia and form trade companies in Kazan province, Novgorod province and Archangelsk very early on.
A part of me really wants to try this, because it seems ludicrously OP, but another part of me knows that I could never bear to have a bunch of OPM’s dotted throughout my country, ruining my nice map painting. Either way, awesome video as always Bonobo 👍
So I did everything perfect - I had AAA credit - max loans available to me ... was just about to complete a diet which would give me another +10 Loyalty to the estate ... and then my tributaries came up from Viet and killed all the rebels .. I was like "Noooooooo stop". How do you prevent that? Just Remove them as Tributaries?
You don't. If they're unloyal they won't help, most likely. Also you can spawn rebels at 50% so they're 1,5 as powerful, this way AI will hesitate attacking them
Yeah I finally got it this weekend. Did the trick to recruit a unit, gift a province to get even more loans. Got 90k. Didnt matter though. Oirat still hits mercs like a tank and eventually this attrition causes war exhaustion to hit you hard. Your videos make everything look very easy .. but there is still a lot of skill to what you do. I built a great wall of forts in every canyon province to keep oriat out. I attacked them while they were sieging one. I hit them with twice as many troops and I still got defeated. They took that one fort and tyen I couldn't get it back no matter how many troops I hit it with. 40,000 vs 10,000 Oirat and they still won due to defensive bonuses of that terrain.. Went back to playing Scotland LOL
You formed Manchu/Qing too quickly imo. I think it's worth it to sit as Dali for a while and do the era of the great dragon missions, harmonize animist, go colonial to make a lot of tributaries in the whole world and farm more and more mana, i'm a bit torn between the two rewards you can get from the path of expansion mission, the tributaries giving you extra mana is broken, but max absolutism effect effectively makes the world conquest easier. Of course this whole run is about abusing a pending event, so it's not really ... legitimate anyway.
Ah, i see you found the dali exploit You actually did this sorta wrong, you did the lazy way of doing it instead of the way that gets you 150k ducats Instead of feeding all your provinces to dali at once, feed 1-2 provinces, and recruit and cancel an infantry, this updates your loan cap so you can keep taking loans, you can get 150k ducats easily this way Dali with the exploit is also a prime candidate to use the tibet horde exploit to get the mandate while being a horde
It's also possible with Yue or other southern chinese minors, but Dali is the most convenient. The choice is limited because you must be able to play as them through event triggered by the disaster

True, you can't. What +1 tributary mana does is it gives +1 mana from all tributaries. So even if it's small it will give +1 mana. 0 from tributary + 1 from the buff. This way you'll get mana from tributary despite it having low dev. I think I explained it better in my old Korea vid, but basically it works like this.
Not many nations are eligible for this (only Chinese revolters), and Dali is the easiest to pull this off. Though Shun or Southern ones also should work

You can always get more than 100 absolutism, the mana is much more precious.
