Hardcore survival RPG with non-linear story that lets you play as a young medieval soldier who over the course of battles and adventures becomes the most formidable and respected knight of his era. Or, if he’s not lucky enough, perishes in the chaos of the Hundred Years' War.
Heads Will Roll: Reforged lets the player to take a role of an ordinary medieval soldier who finds himself in the middle of the legendary Hundred Years War between the kings of England and France. You start your way as a simple footman, whose sole ambition is to survive, but with proper skill and cunning or through blood and preservation, you might soon see yourself becoming one of the most famous knights of your time.
This game is a unique type of RPG with survival mechanics and turn-based combat that requires player to make careful decision both inside and outside the fight. The sophisticated combat system utilizes many different parameters including characters’ stats and attributes, familiarity and proficiency with certain weapons, weapon length, fatigue level, various traumas and injuries, as well as hundreds of different items and consumables.

I'm really enjoying this series. I'm not sure what it is about this game that's so entertaining, maybe it's the tension of knowing that every encounter might be your last, and that even if it is you'll reroll and the series will continue, but either way I'm hooked!
Glad to hear it! I'll echo my sentiments from the start of this series: to me it's surprising that this game is so under the radar!
My observation, not a scientific study, is that I now believe you need to equip the dice to have the gambling bonus.
My goal is not to use the dice ever again (lute!). It's really hard to tell since I don't know what impact it's supposed to have to begin with (is it 50% chance -> 55% chance with dice? we'd need thousands of rolls to verify that!)

Now, biggest Steam complaints are that the quests are in the same order, and that it takes a long time to build up your personal character vs a random one.
Knowing YOU are Mr. Efficiency, the question is sort of thus:
How much META progress do you make if you do NOTHING and never rest and just go into a fight and lose on the first swing by the enemy? ANY? Or at least 1 pip of increase?
Then related, will you make huge META progress if this guy finally dies?
i.e. if you want to define your guy, just do nothing and then after an hour of deaths you can go through and read and do quests, or IS it a bit more time/progress efficient to try and win things each time?
As I am interested in it--and if I got it--I might just break out Notepad ++ and track each quest as it comes up and the stats involved so I would know what sort of build to get through each quest. (Like you have actually mentioned all along the way, but you imply it's more from doing them so often and remembering them rather than writing it down. ;-p)
Random peasant hero #1 continues his march to fame and infamy on the battlefield (and apparently the sheets - his endurance did increase at 29:25 after his fourth trip to the brothel)

I think the shild wall gets damaged if you kill the guys that come out, but i am not surr. Anyway, great video, keep them coming ❤

This is true. You can ignore the shield wall and kill the guy they send out. Every time you kill the guy and they send out someone new, the shield wall's health decreases. Or you can kill the wall outright. I've done it both ways
this game seems great, though I'm not thrilled about the fantasy elements like poison or the interpersonal relationship stuff. seems easy to ignore at least
Yep, easy to ignore relationships. Not easy to ignore poison. But you can un-fantasize it as another bleed if you like.
