This video serves as NO hint for a possible release by the way. We know from the forums that release is planned for August and that means at the time I'm releasing this video it's not more than two weeks off. Sounds like time to start preparing, right? ;-)
Thank you for pointing this out. Never really thought about the risk having simulated the 800 (Zibo and PMDG for previous MSFS versions). I did how ever quite often tailstrike the PMDG 777-200. There was a caution light for that so it was easy to detect 😄
I've been having so much fun with the 700, can't wait for the 800 and 900! Thanks so much for your content, it's very helpful learning how the 737 works. As flight simmers we usually learn how to do the procedures but don't really learn why we do it that way. You explain everything in great detail while also making it very simple. I love it
@@Marix498 PMDG charge a lot for the other models. I have no interest in the 600 because of the cost. Yeah its only $35, but I cant see the value in that, if you already own the 700. @@loiphin 737-800 is the most popular variant in real life. For simmers which cares about reality It will be must have. I don't know, probably if the price will be not bad, I will buy it. It is the main question if 737-800 PMDG would be different in flight. If not, I'll probably buy Fenix 320 instead.
When the -700 launched I was absolutely taken aback by how many users are rotating the aircraft at excessive rates. I think a lot of this is due to xplane to be perfectly honest. I found the Zibo to be extremely forgiving on rotation. But, as you and I both know, there’s kind of a point where you “catch” the rotation on the 737. It’s not a linear thing. Once you catch the rotation you finesse the movement of the yoke to control its upward movement
No release information is given in this video. But we know from RSRs statements in the forums that he expects release this month, so for sure within the next two weeks'ish. Sounds like time to start preparing, right?
Quite difficult to practice any rotation in MSFS right now. All planes rotate like a freaking Cessna. Wayyyy too much lift. Let’s see how many months it’ll take asobo to fix this issue. AGAIN!
yep... but that's exactly the reason why you should practice it now. Yank it up in the -800 and you'll strike that tail right onto the ground. Asobo issue or not... unfortunately.
Hey so I had this problem too and a quick google search told me to change the extremity deadzone to 40-50 on what ever control you are using. I tested it out and now I can rotate the 737 with the proper 2-3 degrees/sec. Hope that helps.
@@Deltafan311 - thanks. Although i do understand the quick fix, but the issue is asobo has reverted back to a faulty lift ratio for all planes in the sim. ☺️ But I’ll try your temporary solution. ☺️
I've found it much easier to use the HUD when commencing rotation. Combine that with the info in this video, I can easily managed rotation and climb with the HUD. Can that also be used as a tool for this? Thanks for the video.
Does the sim also replicate tipping of the a/c which the -800 is prone to do? If you leave the forward door shut and deboard from the rear, is that possible?
I never actually tried, but seeing that PMDG hopefully follows a logic here those passengers sitting in the front should hopefully start to board first before the passengers sitting in the back so that tail tipping won't become an issue. Now, it would surely be interesting to give it a try and I certainly will. But unless we're getting options to distribute passengers per cabin zone I don't really see how you should force tail tipping to happen.
Seeing that right now only the 600 and 700 are released, and those don't have a dead band, I like it very much so far. I'm not allowed to comment on the -800 while the NDA is still up.

Now that I have the 700, I am not sure if its worth buying the 800? Is there really much of a difference other than some performance metrics?
