    Purchased this model about 4 years ago. Subsequently purchased the Kuiu Stalking pack which hangs inside the 3200 containing my 3 litre water bladder, basic essential first aid items such as hemostatic gauze, Israeli Army Trauma bandage, CAT torniquete and headlamp. Also bought the Kuiu Pro Bino Harness and 4 rangefinder pouches which respectively carry my rangefinder, g.p.s., mini EPLB, mini fire starter kit, emergency stainless steel whistle and backup magnetic sighting compass. Also bought and fitted the Kuiu compound bow sling to the back of the 3200. This overall combo is the best fitting, best designed and well made gear I've ever had. Not cheap but real quality never is.
    When deer is unexpectedly encountered at close range, the bow can be slowly freed from the 3200 to prepare for a shot without taking the 3200 off. More often however, once glassed deer are located at much greater distances, the 3200 is taken off, hung in a tree, way pointed on the g.p.s., the Stalker pack put on and the stalk slowly commenced. I figure the risk of snake bite and broadhead trauma are greatest when stalking; hence the safety items, EPLB, g.p.s. and water are taken with me. System works a treat.

    I’ve owned my 5200 for a little over a year now, and love it. The bag gets abused, and hauls out meat like a champ. The deer I took last season was packed inside the main pack (not the load hauler) and no seams, buckles, or zippers failed. Amazing pack and gear they produce.
    The only complaint I have is the squeaking from the frame, but Kuiu just sent me out a liner to fix the issue. Just told them what’s going on and they sent it out that day. Great customer service.

      Kuiu really is amazing. I love their gear. I like there Peloton line for outerwear. It's a wonderful fabric. All their gear is wonderful. Glad you have as good an experience as I have had! Jason was very amazing!

    Great review. You pointed out features that I would use in a pack. Your attention to detail while filming was outstanding.

    One of the best features of the Kuiu bags is that, if you want to go to a smaller or larger bag, you don't have to purchase an entire new set up. You can purchase just the bag for a significantly lower amount (I think the 5200 is running $200) and just swap the bag onto your existing frame and harness as the frame and harness work on all of their bags, both the Icon Pro and the Ultra line.

    • @outerlimitless
      @outerlimitless  5 лет назад

      Absolutely, that is a great feature. I love that setup...and the 3200 was definitely a sweet spot. I had both the Ultra and Icon bags, sold both setups a little while back to keep the channel moving, but KUIU is obviously great stuff. Will be interested to see how they keep it going without Jason??

    Great review! I was searching for a review like this 2 weekends ago as I was on the fence. I ended up getting the same set up, 3200 in phantom/major brown, last week. Great pack, doesn't make too much noise, and the capacity is amazing when the sling mode is utilized. Have fun and stay safe Eric.

      Awesome!! Great choice! I think the ultimate combo would be the 7200, 3200 Icon Pro, and the Ultralight 1800. That combo makes every scenario just about perfect. I had the icon pro 1800 for a day, but returned it and got the 3200...boy am I glad I made that choice!!

    A Really versatile and expandable pack. Even if you don't hunt and are along for the hike you can still help your friends haul some venison !
    - good water carry/bladder mod .!

      I'm in love with this system. I'm getting my wife into backpacking and bought her a frame for valentines day...gonna give it to her tonight. She probably won't appreciate it like I do, but it's worth a try. At least she'll have the gear to get started...can't wait to hit the mountains!

      One thing. I saw that it didn't look too big on you, but being a small guy myself (about 5'10" ish, 145 lbs) I'm wondering wether it would wear too big on me. I'm looking for a pack for overnighters and to haul game out. Would you think it would wear too big when fully loaded with gear and packing meat out? Are the frame's adjustable to one's measurements?

      Aitor Navarro
      mine is a large frame with a large belt. you could get the small frame with a small belt. I got the ultra6000 for my wife... she's 5'7" about 120lbs. it fits her well overall. packed out it could be large if the haul is substantial, but that's kind of the point. if your waste is less than 32" then the small belt will be ok for you. if larger than 32" then definitely the large belt.

    Great Review. I own this same pack but am a novice backpack hiker. I love your water bladder idea. Could you post a video with specific details on how you set that up? I am not experienced enough to figure it out on my own. Thank you very much.

      Sure...good suggestion. I will certainly consider that. I'll tell ya though...I did use that system in that fashion on a backpacking trip and it had some issues that I need to work out. Once I get the bugs worked out of the system, I'll post it.
      Thanks for watching!

      Nice...you'll love the system...it's really excellent stuff. You take advantage of their sale items? You can get some accessories right now for pretty cheap...like the side pouches are like $1.00. It's in their closeout section

    kuiu is out of products that are being held up at customs. i decided to order the exo mountain titanium harness. im going to see if i can strap my icon pro 7200 as its non returnable. exo gear is made here and has a liftime waranty. if i can use my kuiu pack i will also get the 3200 but the woman there wasnt even sure if they were going to recieve the solid color. i want that for airport carry on.

    • @outerlimitless
      @outerlimitless  7 лет назад

      Interesting...it looks like that exo mountain might work. You might find that the buckles are a different design, so you'll have to change out the clips to the Kuiu clip, but other than that, I think that frame might work...good luck!

    i hope that bag is 22" high but you didnt say and i cand find out thos specks.i want something o can carry on. but on the ground expand. this bag looks like it. you can get a 78liter camo camp bag from kifaru and stash it full of wine and food in your base camp by lasing it in between. that bag is only $80 and its like a dry bag with a zipper down the middle.

    • @outerlimitless
      @outerlimitless  7 лет назад

      I will take a look into the size for you. yeah, the kuiu, kifaru, and mystery ranch all have some similar features. I happened towards the kuiu due to the light weight fabrics, but all are sweet.
      I'll get back at you with a measurement...

    • @outerlimitless
      @outerlimitless  7 лет назад

      from the base of the belt to the top of the bag is closer to 27". mine is mounted on the large frame which makes a difference over the small frame. the icon pro 1850 is smaller and likely shorter, but i dont know how short.

    Can the lid for the 5200 fit this? Or is it even possible to attach the 5200 lid on this?

    • @outerlimitless
      @outerlimitless  7 лет назад +1

      I'm not 100% sure. I have the 7200 which has a lid. I'll try to take a look at it tonight and I'll get back to you...I've been very interested in that same question...thanks for writing.

      So I took a look at my 7200 lid...it appears as though I should be able to successfully install it onto my 3200. Now, with that said, it will require some clips to hold it on...and Kuiu does make the appropriate clips to pull this off. The only issue will be that the 7200 bag has a loop in the center of the top of the bag to keep the middle of the lid in place. The 3200 does not have that same loop, so the only connection points for the lid will be sides.
      I know that might be hard to understand if you're not looking at it. If I have time I will assemble the whole thing and take some pictures and send them to you...but I do think my short answer will be yes, it will ultimately work.
