Really sweet project, turned out great. Got to love the Kreg pocket hole jigs they work great and what a great thing to have them sponsor you too, way cool.
Thanks Guy. I do love Kreg products and have used them for years. I’m honored to be sponsored by them!
Wish I had a friend or dad like this guy👌...I love carpentry
I really appreciate you... simply by your humble, direct, honest teaching! Your an effective Mentor and help me gain focus I am new to all of this and always loved wood working and creating, giving something new life. I've been wanting to start this part of my own side business for a long time to keep talking myself out of it and then I'll see videos like you said with these new printers the 3D printers or things that I tell myself I need to get this or that before I could ever actually start and then again not! I want original personal The mindset this journey have started again now I keep steadfast and pushing forward trying just kept it real with myself and saying everybody starts from somewhere. I have several tools not a lot I got what I need to start. Not a run-on I apologize but basically thank you! Thank you for inspiring me and I keep watching you to keep learning my craft and growing my hobby to business
Enjoyed the build! I liked the design and adding trim to it. I hadn’t seen one like that yet. Good job!
Thanks! Wait until you see the locker I made for it. I should have it posted this weekend!
Awesome build. Love the love edge and the color for paint you picked. Like you you distressed the paint as well. Ty for the education
Thanks! I love the distressed look. I think the locker will set it all off.
Awesome build. You make it look easy!
Thanks! Not a hard build at all.
Thanks man
Very nice, and pleasing to the eye. Thank you
Thanks!
Nice! I’m actually building one now myself for a customer using barn wood.
Sweet! I love barn wood projects. In high school I dismantled Barns and sold the wood. Nothing like natural weathering.
@@MatthewPeechWoodworking They had barns in the revolutionary war?
One lesson I learned: buy the pull out baskets first. Size openings to fit. (Same with building patio furniture: buy the padded cushions first.). That bench top Kreg “machine” (750?) looks massive. Thanks for the video.
Very good tips. Your right. The 720 pro is def bigger than the K4. But can do alot more.
Thanks for the info.
My kind of woodworking
Matt, excellent build as always! The bench looks outstanding, and I'm loving that you used Stranglehold for the background tunes!! 😎😎
Congrats on the big name sponsor. Kreg!
Thank you my man!
I'm all over it its amazing
Heck yea. I’ll be posting a matching “locker” that sits on top soon!
Beautiful dude! Keep up the good work!
Thanks!
Dam!!! Them carhartts are cleaaannnnnn LOL
Lol. I do love me some carhartt.
Nice bench good job
Pretty sweet!
Thanks Dan
Awesome job!
Nice project! Love it!
Thanks!
Has anyone ever told you you sound like Billy Bob Thornton? Great build by the way. Just found your channel and I'm enjoying it.
Lol. Yep.. get it a lot. And look like the murder nova driver.
Nice project.
In an old house might be a good idea to wait on the bottom trim until it is on the floor.
The level work bench might not match the level floor.
Also as of late it is good idea to measure all lumber from the big box store before use.
Do not assume the measurements are correct.
Have come across several supposedly 8 ft long boards that are 8 foot and 1/2 inch.
Take no measurement for granted.
Very true. Actually why I designed it with 1” “legs”. So the base could be adjusted. I just forgot to mention that in the video.
@@MatthewPeechWoodworking i am dealing with leveling a floor in an old house right now.
The joists cannot be lifted or lowered. So it is all in shims.
Good thing is it is going to be a layer of 3/4 plywood shimmed with 1/4 in, 3/8th and a good application of liquid nails.
Hahahaha.....I just replied on your used tool video about the Kreg track saw system.
Lol. Yea but was a great idea!
Pocket holes hell yea!
I have an old desk from when I was a kid(30 years ago) and it's still standing. They used pocket holes . Don't be a snob people. My stuff is as tough as your duck tale.
Looks great!! What did you use to finish the top?
I’m a big fan of pocket holes, but screwing the live edge with those wouldn’t it eventually cause it to break or no?
I have never had an issue with it. The screws do a nice job of drilling as they go.
Looks classy. I'm going to give it a shot. Why not paint before you trim and top?
You've got this. Yea paint the base and trim separate. Then just touch up the nail holes.
the standard boards from box store are .75 x 1.5 or .75 x 2.5 is that what i need for the front? 2" and 3"?
Why was there a gap on the back panel @ 7:12. Did you wait to nail it in place?
Kregg didn’t hook you up with any clamps?!? That should have been question 2. Their clamps ain’t cheap and a set of four cost as much as the pocket hole system. Lol
I actually had a Kreg clamp already. Well worth the money.
Matt I really want that table saw. Is it as good as it was when you got it. I have a nice grizzly and it’s sooo hard to raise the blade and I clean it.
@@joelw6215 lube the lifting parts/gears. You'll be surprised.
What would that sell for? I'm building it but have no idea what to charge.
so get on marketplace or ebay and check out what Entry room bench/ lockers are going for. Around here the lowest price I could find for a very bare bones entry room bench/locker (flat back) unpainted and no trim was $850. It all really depends on you local market.
Where'd you get the baskets?
They came from Menards
WOW THAT IS SEXY Great video and build thx for sharing
Thanks Larry! The bench top lockers will really set it off.
Using cedar ? Sorry.. reclaim wood
thaat annoying music just plain sucks
