- Just going through some older clips when we first brought the baby home! Minnie has been curious and a love bug ever since! (She used to love snuggling with the baby bump before they even met!)

My favorite part was when baby reached out, daddy said gentle. Then pet the kitty. This means the baby will learn to play nice with kitty. I have seen vids that children are pulling tails, picking up kittens or cats and squeezing hard, petting fur backwards….all kinds of things. And the parents are just videoing this bad behavior. This little girl is going to grow up loving on her kitty!

@@abundantharmonyBabies have a hard time regulating their body temp. You have to keep them warm. Cats enjoy being warmer than humans. It's a good exchange.

This reminds me of when my Maltese baby first met my daughter 12 years ago. My dog was so gentle and sat next to her while she slept. Cats and dogs are so smart and loving. They knew they are the older sibling and know to protect them. my Maltese baby passed away this year 1/6. She lived to 18 years senior. I miss her every single day.
At the beginning, Minnie's grumpy face is so cute! also when she finally accepted the baby and cuddled to her. Ultimate pick me upper. :D

It looks silly when Minnie plops herself down on top of the baby's various body parts, but I actually think a big reason cats do this is to keep their humans in their sight. My cat has a habit of laying on my feet when he doesn't want me to go to work. He's become very perceptive! So I would not be surprised if Minnie deciding to lie on top of baby's feet or arms or half of baby's torso is partially to keep baby within Minnie's "sight."

Its amazing how pets know to be gentle to babies, cats bite and scratch us like we are made of steel and yet babies are bigger than them but they know its a baby and to be extra gentle.

Minnie is not scared, she's got good animal instincts not to get too close to a baby right away - in nature it's super dangerous after all. 😅 Kinda like us humans would hesitate to get too close to a bear cub, even if we knew its parents. Then ofcourse she warmed up to the situation very fast - so cute!
