Have a break? Have a Pensados Place to come to. One of the best shows to have a coffee to and free your ears from homerecording-stuff. Thanks for sharing this.
Pensado's Place is a privilege and a gift because it gives back to the us guys who share the passion but don't have the means to study it in the institutions. Thanks heaps for doing your part to educate cats on the come up on the standards on off the desk in the industry.
You guys deserve a TV spot...this is too good and has been helpful to my growth with my mixing and production. You guys have single-handedly saved the music industry. Thank you very much. Jae-Eaux PS, I'm working my ass off to get my spot on your show soon!!! ;)
....and Darkchild...this was greatly appreciated. Excellent insight, inspiration, and information. Hell I still remember when I heard the work he did with "Spice Girls." lol an all time great producer.
Right at 17:06, Dave makes an amazing point. I don't think todays music is as soulful nor musical as it was with musicians, singers who have come from a smaller church environment. There a lot of people who will argue that but the proof is in the music.
Dave and Herb, this is my first comment. Been watching for months. This was a great interview. The bit about the MPC was helpful. Loved hearing DC's appreciation for the human element that comes from the clock on an MPC. Additionally, the team and I have been interested in a clock to solve that very issue (nudging) across an MPC, and an MV8800, in our DAWs. Feels good to know it's just the way it is and the nudging we do is normal. Also this guest was dynamic guest. Thanks! #Salute
Great episode guys, I love a lot of Darkchild´s productions, he's good I'd like you to have Jeff Bhasker as a guest too, he's my favorite producer nowadays
After watching this ITL about stereo bass tracks, and watching your technique, of which I use a lot as well. I am curious to know your thoughts about a plug called Basslane by Tone Projects. It's free, although it is only VST. I have just found it about a week ago and thought that it does what you are doing here by summing everything below the cross over frequency to mono to prevent phasing issues on the bass. Just search basslane vst in google. And as always, great episode!
either nudge it with a mouse with quantize off once your notes are in, or play it keyboard or controller and then modify to taste some daws can do that for you by setting the quantize percentage aswell
i came here to hear rodney talk specifies on invincible i just really wanna hear what they used how they used it tweaks and stuff and i cant get any info about it any where
Jeff Bhasker, 40, Xaphoon Jones, Malay, Illangelo. Illangelo would be VERY interesting to hear from. Ryan Lewis, Flying Lotus. Thats just a few off top, that I would really like to see come through.
30:30 haha I know where Dave was going with that dorian scale reference. Too bad he didn't get into it, modes aren't discussed quite enough when it comes to production, despite them being everywhere and being the essence of musical "colors".
Thanks for your great Show with one off best sound recording Post pro Information included on web. Please do a great job 100 episodes too Mr. Pensado vs. Mr. Herb. Please go back to analog Audio, Yes, because digital audio is faulty in our, me too, ears , you know it! Analog Audio is only real mother nature pure listening audio for human being. Digital Audio is just a small window of real audio around us. First off all in the universe was the AUDIO. (J.B Berendt) Its just myop opinion too.
This is one of the best episodes I've seen yet. Great positive vibes with Mr. Rodney Jerkins. You can feel it through the damn computer. Amazing
Thank you Dave and Herb for this wonderful channel. You guys are really appreciated.

good stuff
Yeah Jam and Lewis would be amazing bro
can you make a video about Pads...strings and stuff like that ... how to use them in a pop/rap track?
Dr. Dre would be SUPER. He's mixing is untouched.
the master!
i came here to hear rodney talk specifies on invincible i just really wanna hear what they used how they used it tweaks and stuff and i cant get any info about it any where
the dubstep stuff is sick i don't listen to much dubstep anymore but I think he's talking more about a 2step beat so lime garage/deep house music.
Dope
Nice. I use to work for Rodney.
He needs to come back
Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis? Have they been on? Maybe Pete Rock (I know, but I'm a hip hop head as well as a musician).
