Thanks Tiffany, this was interesting to see. We love Aegean, it's what I call a proper airline which still serves food and the cabin crew look glamorous! I for one would be interested in seeing how you get the bus into central Athens we've always taken the Metro.

my favorite European airline. Aegean is the best, but in general, other Greek lines are top quality (Sky Express)

I flew Aedean from London to Athens. I'd say its very budget. Although all your points are accurate, I also didnt have any problem. An old short Greek lady couldn't reach her bag from the overhead lugage compartment, the staff refused to get it for her. I had to step in to help her get it. Not impressed with that type of service. Sky Express was much better for me.

It’s not a budget airline though. Flight attendants aren’t allowed on most airlines to help with baggage. It’s a safety hazard for them to constantly be lifting bags. You did the right thing by helping. I wish more people would as fellow short person.

Hi i need your help on this question. My standard ticket only allows me a hand luggage (which i think means a carry-on cabin bag). Does that mean that on top of that, I can also bring a personal items bag that I can pit under the seat? Thank you

It depends on the fare you booked. If it is a light fare, then no but I didn't seem them enforcing it too much.

I booked a multi-city flight on United (Chicago to Athens and then Heraklion to Chicago). This is a codeshare and Aegean will handle the flights from Munich to ATH and HER to Munich. It’s really not clear to me what the luggage allowance is on these international legs not operated by United. I usually fly with carryon only but my one way (separate) flight from Athens to Chania only allowed a carry on bag up to like 8 kg so I paid for a checked bag just in case (this was the flex fare). Does anyone know if they weigh bags on these codeshare international flights? I think I also may have to pay extra for aisle seats on the codeshare flights and between seat selection and bag fees, the price can start adding up fast.
