I had a chance to visit Helsinki twice, first with my son and then with my brothers several years ago. Our grandparents on both side were born in Finland. In my first visit with my son I remember discovering Cafe Regata as we wandered around Helsinki one day. I walked the Espalanda (sp?) many times and having coffee at the restaurant at the end across from the band stand. I also remember the great view of Helsinki atop the tower at the Olympic Stadium. I have visited most the places in your video and many others, thank for the memories.
Loved the video. I got a change to visit Finland/Helsinki in 1917 and 1918, first with my son and then my brothers. Our grandparents on both side were born in Finland. I remember discovering the Cafe Regata with my son as we just wandered around Helsinki. We walked the Esplandi numerous times and had coffee in the restaurant at the end across from the bandstand and near the flea market. Of course another great view of Helsinki is from the Tower at the Olympic Stadium. Thanks for the memories…
Thank you, my last visit to Helsinki dates back a long time and I did not have time to visit. The city has changed, nice to see something other than places I already knew. Among the places I loved when I lived in Helsinki : - Ursula's Café for the giant cups of homemade ice cream, - the old K-market at Itä-keskus who don't exist anymore, it was demolished and replaced; - the markets and many Kauppahalli : Hakaniemi, Alko Vanha kauppahalli , Kauppatori, - Kaivopuisto. I am very gourmand.
Too late for us, we got back from Finland just in time to see this video :( But we did see the helpful videos about travel in Helsinki and long distance in Finland. Entertaining and interestiang videos, keep it up Aleksi.
I just love Finland So much! I have been four times myself, my mother and I are Finnish- she’s the fluent (sujuvaa) one I’m learning. That’s for such a wonderful video! I have been to a few of these before like senate square/ Helsinki cathedral and cafe Regatta and Sibelius monument (munummenti)! You have given me some ideas for this summer- yes we are coming back, home (Koti)! Maybe we’ll see you on the streets if we’re lucky!
Hello Aleksi and Miss Her Finland ... thank you for this fantastic video now I know what to visit once I land to your beautiful city, thank you for the sharing very helpful !
Finally! you made a video with Varpu!! I really like you both collaboration and it's really educated me about Helsinki. Thank you sooo much for this collab video, hoping there will be collab again and pls tell Varpu she's so pretty! :DD
Thanks for your video ! Helsinki is so nice city !! Education is the top priority in this country and you find the best strawberries of the Europe (my favourite fruit) and berries ! I need to visit all !! I love so much innovation and technology! Are there buildings about innovation and technology ??
I was really really suprised that there are some Japanese dishes and 東京横丁 in Finland as Japanese. It will be 6 years later, but I will definitely be there !
There’s a mermaid with my name? The Little Mermaid was my favourite story and Disney movie when I was a kid. Plus, I love being in the water so much that some of my friends would call me the little mermaid or Aquagirl.
13:08 Everyone these are cheese slicers in case you were wondering. Aleksi, not many people outside the Nordics know about these. Everyone needs at least one!
man what happened to the Palm Trees? did they teleport back to Middle East coz it was too cold for them? And PULLAAAAAAA 😍❤️ i saw your name on the Tubecon Suomi 2019 list on a Linkedin post from the event organisers.
Aleksi Himself - Videos about Finland you should mention such events on your videos man. maybe your followers would be there on time to actually have a meeting with you there and then.
It's a big event completely in Finnish and the tickets cost money like 50€ and as most of my followers are outside of Finland so I don't see it appealing to promote among my followers.
Aleksi Himself - Videos about Finland ahh i see well i automatically assumed that the event would be in English as the post was in English.. Fake ads 😂
Aleksi, sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but I ordered your Finntastic shirt from the spring, however the design is on the back of the shirt not the front. I have sent two emails with no response, can you suggest how I may get a replacement. Thank you so much for any info you can give me.
Oh wow that's bad. Teespring does handle the customer support, did you try this already? answers.teespring.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2667355-contact-us
@@AleksiHimself thanks for that I did get ahold of them through Twitter, they directed me to go through Facebook they r sending me another shirt. Thank you so much for being a great help with solving my issue. By the way I love your videos, visiting Finland is on my bucket list. 😊
Showkat Hossain they have a 24hr unlimited ride car. By that card you can take bus, train, metro, and tram. You can also choose which zones you want. :)
You could by the day ticket for the public transport for 8€ and you can ride as much as you want. There is also some sort of Helsinki card which gives you access to some museums and stuff.
This is nice and all, but basically it's the same stuff that every tourist guide will tell you. As a Finn I was hoping for some originality and places that are not on everyone's tour already.
Aleksi Himself - Videos about Finland Not sure about the 99%, but I already have a job that pays really well, so it’s better for me to specialize into that. This society would be pretty crappy if everyone had to play in a band before talking about music or direct a movie before seeing one.
Helsinki is like the best parts of Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo all rolled into one perfect city. It's an amazing place, hope to return soon someday.
Thanks for the comment Brad Travels!
Varpu could have a second career selling toothpaste.
Haha I bet she would have done great indeed!
Aww, you are so sweet! :D Thank you!
Pepsodent smile

That must be a typo or something. You were not alive in 1917, my man...

I've made two videos with Varpu before. Check out dating videos too!
I think one of the greatest things in Finland is Varpu's smile. Mielestäni yksi parhaimmista asioista Suomessa on Varpun hymy.
Haha good stuff!
Hei Poe! Thank you so, so much!
thanks for the tips! I'll gonna make a video
Good stuff!
Thanks, I'm currently in Helsinki and was wondering "what else" to see.

フィンランド人は日本料理が結構好きなんです!
Oh how I wish to be there some day.🥰
Make it happen! ^^
Not to miss out MIG airplane on the top of Verkkokauppe near West Terminal. Free and sweet photo spot.
Thanks for the comment travelvideos!
Some great spots there!
Right on!

yes i can recognize it it s kalevala 😊
Good stuff!
Varpulla on kaunis hymy. Kuinka monta portaita katedraalin edessä?
En itse asiassa tiedä.
I'm coming to Helsinki for a week. Going to see all sounds like a busy week. What would you recommend?
The places shown in this video!
How many steps were there at the cathedral?
We lost the count. :DD
man what happened to the Palm Trees? did they teleport back to Middle East coz it was too cold for them? And PULLAAAAAAA 😍❤️ i saw your name on the Tubecon Suomi 2019 list on a Linkedin post from the event organisers.

That's weird cos they claim they'd reply within 24hours. You could direct messanging them on Twitter: twitter.com/teespring Hope it gets resolved!

they played Finlandia in the walking dead.
Cool didn't know that!
Well, that was sadly predictable.
This is nice and all, but basically it's the same stuff that every tourist guide will tell you. As a Finn I was hoping for some originality and places that are not on everyone's tour already.
You can always create your own better video you know.
Aleksi Himself - Videos about Finland I could, but I prefer an advisory role rather than field work.
Like 99% people in the RUclips comments. Anyways, I'm going to make more of these, just covering the most important ones first.
Aleksi Himself - Videos about Finland Not sure about the 99%, but I already have a job that pays really well, so it’s better for me to specialize into that. This society would be pretty crappy if everyone had to play in a band before talking about music or direct a movie before seeing one.
Finland was an awesome country before so-called 'asylum-seekers' discovered it.
It's not that bad.
It is nothing in Finland comparing to other countries.
