About Finnish women not saying "I love you" too often because they don't want to repeat things that feel obvious to both - it's true. I'm a Finnish female myself and I tend to express my affections more with body language. Especially hugging. Unless my guy needs saying it often verbally, that's when I'm willing to adapt to that exception.

I really love values and intelligence and loyalty. I want to have a family with good Finish woman that wants the same but likes minimalist type kind of artistic musician types. What would you recommend and is there any way i can meet anyone over the line to talk and get to know better, maybe video chat ? And do i have any chances or are the certain types preferred? thanks

I'm an American Finn, I don't lie or brag, I don't see the point and feel like if I have to repeat it just means someone wasn't listening, I'm actually dismayed. When I hang out with friends it revolves around an activity not talking unless it's the bar, the bar is where I tell my stories and listen to new stories, in relationships I value my time alone as much as my time with my gal. I do not need to be cared for or have to care for another all the time, I find it very beautiful if a girl is independent, honest, chill, and open minded like me, one who doesn't need to be the center of the world or need to speak every thought

I dated a Finnish girl who was not Finnish at all. (She was 45 years old, born in Finland, but lived in Germany for 18 years).
-She bragged about Finland and talked incessantly about how horrible the USA was compared to Finland - 15 times a day. (And in earshot of Americans whilst we were dining out).
-She never offered to share paying for anything - ever.
-Always wanted to do activities she wanted to do.
-Demanded for 4 months to know how much I made a year - and refused to say her salary. (I had to show her my tax returns to shut her up - she wore me down). 😂
-Lied to me about dating someone else while we were dating - and ended up with that person in the end. (All while making sure I stayed single. And even kicked me out of the hotel room when she wanted to talk privately with them).
-She demanded the truth from me, but NEVER told me the truth or gave a complete answer on anything … ever. She lied about things, but demanded the truth from me. (All whilst insisting that Finns prize honesty).
-She bragged all the time about all of her accomplishments and boasted how stupid everyone else was.
All of my Finnish friends were in awe of how unFinnish she was. I have NEVER met such a Finnish person in my life. She made the WORST of Americans look like angels. 😂

I might have already commented this, but can't find. Being punctual, I was supposed to meet with this girl that I had met at Mustikkamaa (we walked in backwards, slowly), Juhannus at Suomenlinna LauttaSatama and I got a call about a good car to buy and I did and they had siphoned the gas out, so I had to push it to a gas station. So I was hours late. She was still there. "no big deal many of my friends have gone by" Spent the summer with her and introduced her to my parents, who rejected her. Introduced her to my Stockholm friends and 26 years later Googled her. She had studied in Stockholm and was now a Doctor for Doctors Without Borders. We dated for a few years here in Los Angeles and Nairobi, Mombasa and Stockholm. So, you can be late with a Finnish girl. I still love her, but she kept bending my little finger the wrong way to get her way.

@@AleksiHimself It is so true though. Gen-X and the earlier half of millennial women in my country seemed to care GREATLY about what you have, especially 10 years ago. If you have little, the conversation is over before it begins. You could be a caring person. You could be of sound character, a non-drinker / nonsmoker, a churchgoer, etc. You could be a medical resident who will be well off in a year or two. The conversation is over and that's that. Also, if they are interested and you have nothing, their father would certainly be the next gate you wont make it through. With the latter half of the millennial generation and gen-z young adults, it appears to a degree that this is starting to change finally. Add to that the fact that divorce rates here supposedly around 50%. I think in urban / suburban areas, they are actually much higher. Nearly all of them here are initiated by women and usually for quite petty reasons, "insufficient standard of living" being the most frequently claimed, many American men are looking abroad for marriage.

I believe it is because you might be a little masculine.. If person wants to be isolated from their lover that this is simply cold 🥶 and if you enjoy your lover less around you than this not not healthy my lady… If you prefer you man quite and not speaking out of turn or to loud this simply means this is your threshold. How ever it is a problem for your threshold to be so restrictive for your lover.. One should hear each other speak to acknowledge each other and to exchange thoughts, decompress and to pair bond… My lady this is very damaging to your lover and strips away at his man hood. My lady you must give your selfs to each other… Anything else is a crime against each other…

I guess point 2 applies to anyone, point 4 to any European. I never dated any Finnish lady, a friend o' mine did, he claimed girls from Finland love to control your relations with another people and are really jealous. I never matched with any girl in Finnish Tinder, but I did in Russian, Belarussian, Ukrainian, Brazilian and in Polish Tinder. Honestly, I find Finnish girls pretty, but when I check their social networks I have such an impression that the only thing they care about is gymn and travels, nothing else.

Depending how old he is, he might just want to sound more "worldly" by using phrases like that. But then again, if he's really interested in everything you do, say and remembers your conversations, that might be his way to show affection towards you. (Many Finnish guys are bit shy expressing their feelings while getting to know the girl they like). Next time when he says that, you can just reply by saying to him "how's my boy" and see how he reacts to that. (Or something similar along those lines). His reaction will tell you what you need to know. If he treats it like a joke then his not being serious. But if he becomes bit shy and/or blushes (even if he might laugh a little), then more than likely he's happy you are reciprocating to his advances. Hope this helps.
