I visited this observatory in 1970 and got to look through the telescope and remember it well...it was a beautiful ivy covered building....so sad to see this...
Oh wow! That's really neat! I would love to have seen it in working order. What an awesome memory that must be. I'm sure it's devastating to see the building the way it is now.
I wonder what it looked like to the people who were lucky enough to live close by back in the day, what a waste if a beautiful building it should have been preserved and protected for future use, people can be so stupid in not realizing the value of history

Thanks! And thanks for watching!
It makes me so sad to see beautiful buildings destroyed like that. I wish I could of seen it before.
I agree. I would love to have seen it back in its hay day.
Sad to see such a previously nice place ruined like that

I always wonder that about these places myself, especially this location. It would have been such a grand and impressive building in its day.
What happened to the guy who wanted to move in? Why was the project abandoned?
Yea everyone in Cleveland knows about this place. This building shares the fate of many abandoned buildings Cleveland.
You’re absolutely right about that. Wish people could learn to admire and enjoy places like this instead of destroying them.
