- In December 2012, I fulfilled a lifelong dream to take a ride in an F-16, which I was fortunate to receive as an Honorary Commander (call sign JDAM) of the 425th Fighter Squadron at Luke AFB. The 425th flies RSAF F-16s which are off limits to civilians, so we borrowed a Viper from the 310th. Unrestricted takeoff, 500 ft. at 500 mph; simulated low level bomb run on the Barry Goldwater range, rolls, split-S, some stick time for me and a whole lot of G's pulled. It was the best damn ride of my life.
Did a fam flight with the Tophats in 2019. I might be one of the few people who has flown inverted over Kitt Peak Observatory and busted Mach at 57 years of age. Two hours in an F-16 ruined roller coasters for me for life. My bird was 89-159, one digit away from this one!
Hell yeah, bro. I got my shot in an incentive ride in the WSO seat of an F-111F in 1990, for winning weapons load crew of the year, at RAF Lakenheath, UK. Probably not as much G-pulling fun, as you had, but freakin incredible, nonetheless! Looks like you handled it well. Good job, and congrats, bro!
I used to work at the Goldwater Range as an RCO. Luke AFB is awesome! I miss those jets!
So stoked for you to have experienced this, dude
love the video! His face at high G it pretty funny, really puts into perspective how much G-force you feel in a F-16. I need more video's like this!!!!!
Can someone please give him a Hell and a Yeah...
Hell Yeah bro !!!
Nice
One of my favourites videos on YT.
Great vid and great song!
During DS , Many of the 117 pilots listened to metallica or whatever whilst over Kill box 1
Congratulations brother I'm happy for ya! Looks like the pilot was testing your "ka-ka-ka" at 2:44 and almost lost you at 3:00, but didn't. Good job man!
awesome video. I can tell on your face the g forces kicking in. i cannot imagine how that feels. I know you have to do a special breathing technique to make sure you do not black out. I would so love to fly in a fighter jet just to feel the power and the G forces being 30, 40,000 feet or however high it goes and just be proud to be a real American.
Good of you to thank the damn CC and the rest of the E's at the end.
that is so exhilarating to experience , you're such a lucky person !
I got plenty of Hell's but am all out of yeah's. That was some good shit! It provided a great example of the forces exerted on the bodies of these pilots WHILE they are making spilt second decisions and maintaining an extreme level of accuracy with their maneuvers. Good stuff, dude!!!
So awesome! Congratulations!
My dad flew in a f-16 at Luke Air Force Base too
Hello from Spain. Great video and great job. I enjoined so much.
Not sure who you know to get that ride but good for you. I live in Peoria and they fly over my house all the time and once in a while I get a glimpse of one when I'm flying in the NW practice area NW of Luke. I would love to just get a chance in their Sim.
its funny because i remember when u got your flight. We noticed the go pro and we were hoping you didnt use a crappy adhesive or anything. Glad you enjoyed your flight and had a healthy jet. 310th bad to the bone!!
Dude, that's just amazing!
Totally awesome vid man! Love the high performance audio/video combination you put together. Yeah, you are envied by everybody including myself, LoL. Most people will never get to ride in anything higher performing than a supercharged sports car. But, NO automobile (or any other man-made machine) will ever compare to the awesome kick and feel of a high performance jet fighter. Glad for you man! Great video, Love it!
Nice vid, one day i also will to take a ride in one of these things :D
me too hopefully. atleast once before I die be a dream come true fly in a few fighter jets but in America I think it is impossible to do but in other countries you can pay to fly in fighter jets.
The F-16D is, yes. The F-16C is what is actually used for flying missions. The D model is for training.
awesome video man! coming from someone who got to ride in back of the viper as well...we are among a select few
One Lucky Pastard ;)
I dont care if i throw up everything Ive eaten for the past 5 years. I dont care if I GLOC. I will always want to be a fighter pilot.
Throwing up will be the least of you're worries
awesome video man, thanks for sharing!!!!!
Damned, you are a lucky guy. Very nice video.
Hahaha they gave Sniper a D model! Travesty! One of my favorite IPs
Woosy. Looked like he was scared throughout the majority of the flight.
Outstanding video!! Wish I got a flight when I was at Nellis AFB!
Must have been really awesome to see the ground upside down.
Hell yeah, 56th Fighter wing representing
Song: Rev Theory - Hell Yeah (Also the theme song of 'Blue Mountain State')
This video deserves much more recognition.
Do you have to be in the service to even qualify for an incentive ride? Getting the chance to experience that would be SO awesome.
Awesome Video !!!
AWESOME FLIGHT DUDE!!
Thanks. Great Video and Flight.Mmmmmmmm
u just stole some breaths of my dream... i want this experience so bad!
Man.. you should add the landing part too. Amazing video nonetheless.
Yeah Exactly
Good tour :) f-16 is my favorite :) good day for you :)
Hahaha how he looks during the parts with the strong g-forces :D
simply amazing.............role modals for life...........SALUTE....
great video
So awesome I love how to g forces give you funny faces.
Great to see a dude like yourself, who makes this mission happen, get to enjoy this side of your efforts. Good on ya. But that finger wave in the beginning has got to go, or you will make Viper guys look like Eagle guys.
it looked like he passed out for a couple of secs at 3:00 dayum
G Lock - He was well fine though
i think he made it actually. gravity takes your head down when you pass out.
Down Range Film Glock is worse then passing out
Pinscher Graphics G-LOC, than.
faabound Its amazing to be corrected by someone whose never been in an altitude chamber or had a check ride .
u can see the G's taking tole on his face cool flying yow
Chris, look into the Honorary Commanders program at Luke. That's the way to your ride.
Hopefully one day I'll actually be a pilot in one of these
Mills117 I wish you great luck my friend. My husband is a F16 flight instructor. I can tell you a ride in a F-16 doesn't suck.
***** Agreed. However going to war is not always our call. There are always innocents killed in war despite what side of the fence your on.
these eyes... they can tell a story on their own ;)
Love this !
lol he almost goes nitey nite at 1:46
425th was Singapore? 21st was Taiwan? I can't remember. 310th tophats?
:D awesome video man!
BEAUTUFUL beato te. Darei non so cosa per fare un volo anche io su un F - 16 C !!
Good on you man!
Why is the 425th in the credits? That tail belongs to the 310th and the pilot didn't look like he was from Singapore.
I was attached to the 425th, a RSAF (Republic of Singapore Air Force) squadron. 425th vipers are owned by RSAF (Singapore AF) which doesn't allow civilians in their jets, so we borrowed one from the 310th. The pilot in my flight was the CO of the 425th. Yes, it's an RSAF squadron, but leadership is mostly USAF - with a RSAF senior ranking officer (SRO).
Ah, makes sense. I had no idea that the Widows' CO was a USAF LtCol. Their maintenance is set up completely different and they seem to utilize very little inorganic support.
cita cita Ku mbiyen pilot tempur ngene ikimau boz anjrit bingung seng arep daftar
Amazing!!!!!!!!! song name?
Hell Yeah by Rev Theory
***** Thanks!!
Blue Mountain State ftw!
Good Sound
Top!
Would like to see his 'G' meter.
I got mine in Turkey...Sickest shit ever!!!!
GoPro held on fine, but it ran out of recording time about 15 mins before end of flight; so it missed the close formation RTB with two 425th Vipers and the near miss bird strike on final approach.
going on my ride tomorrow... how did you mount the gropro in the jet? i dont want mine flying all around the cockpit...
Video guy installed it with the help of one of the maintainers. No idea what they did exactly but it stuck the whole time, even through 8.8 G's. Good luck and have a blast. Truly a once in a lifetime experience.
Garth Stevens who do I need to beg to get a chance at this just once?
+Garth Stevens how ild do you have to be to ride?
How do you get a ride along?
Do I need to major in Aerospace Engineering to become a fighter pilot?
go go go go go buddy !! ;)
Nice vid. Shame about the music though. Would have been better with the natural music of the aircraft sound.
great shot at 3.08
Awesome!!!!
this is fucking beautiful :3
What missile is that? 0:35??? Is that a Meteor?
2:55, EPIC CONSTIPATION
Man i wish i was you in this situation..
Hell Yeah!
I noticed a bright object in the sky between 1:31 and 1:34, but did anyone else see it?
Breno araujo might be the sun ray reflecting to the glass
Reflection of the sun
yeah definitely sun reflecting off his helmet onto the canopy of the F-16 causing the white dot, you see it multiple times in the video. no UFO lol. no such thing as UFO or Aliens at that anyway. until I see one myself then i will believe it. til then, i do not believe in it.
I think they also popped flares at 2:33
BMS HYPE!
Nice!
which is that song? which band?
darude - sandstorm
i was drunk n coked i think i can...
멋지십니다! ^^
That guy looks like Keanu Reeves.
I wanted to see how the co pilot passed out, :(
He's not a co-pilot. Lol lol lol

You call this flying with a jet, we Turks call it 'FREEDOM'.
How i'd love to be there too ^_^ yes ahahahah WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW ^_^
what is this song??
Rev Theory....Light it up.
+TheFuriousB
Thank you!!
ive never seen a 2 seater f-16
F-16Bs....F-16Ds....
Jirat Nitipon Probly D,Don't think US air force use the F-16B no more?
Alvin Herlambang It's an F-16D (block 42). The RSAF 425th at Luke is the only squadron at Luke that flights the block 52 F-16C and D.
***** There's no more Block 32's in the Active Duty inventory. I think the Illinois Guard fly's Block 32's. I went to an airshow at the Springfield Illinois airport a few years back and got looking at their jets and to my surprise, their jets were the jets we had at Misawa AB, Japan. In 1994 we started receiving brand new Block 50's and gave our 32's to the guard. I never paid much attention to where they went until I went to that airshow. The 310th there at Luke fly's Block 42's which I believe have Pratt & Whitney motors versus General Electric on Block 40's.
didickcheeseburger it's because it's the falcon no the viper
Waaaawwwww.! I had tears in yeus when I saw your video.
I live in Switzerland for 23 years with not only the American Dream, but mostly the movie TOP GUN without aret in my head. I'm in a family for three generations in aéronotique. can we contact to E-Mail. good evening
