I was hoping for another video with your brother, we love him. I guess I should watch it now, lol.
There's more coming don't you worry!
@@TheJoelWood is he really that shy ? He is so quiet.
Thanks so much for taking us to New York with you Joel and Ben!!! 💞
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!
Wow,so the looks run in the family. You're both handsome.❤
Thanks Handsome Ben, ummm, I mean Joel, lol ! You both are the sweetest! I’m so happy you were able to spend some quality time together. Glad you’re home now safe and sound with your baby.
Loved the vlog. 🐝😊💕xx
Thanks Billy! Had a great time but happy to be home!
Your brother has your mom’s smile!
Yeah they look so similar. and they have very similar personalities too!
Joel Wood They both seem super nice and fun to hang out with.
His family seems super chill. Especially his mom.
Thank you for visiting a library! That was so cool to see! The staircases & light fixture were gorgeous!! If you want snow, go skiing in Colorado!
You’re welcome! I’d love to go to Colorado!
"I like a good moan." Love that expression! So British!
hahaha!
@@TheJoelWood I've been watching long enough that the other day I said to my friends, "Here I've been nattering on..." They thought it funny. I also need to use the expression "to be right chuffed" occasionally but I haven't done so yet. The US isn't ready for it all at once. Glad you had a good time in NYC.
Have a good moan... saw comment at beginning if video and thought it was referring to the neighborors shagging all night! Imagine my surprise that it just means botching about a tax bill! Lmfao Texan learning moaning isn't moaning!
Teresa Garner 😄 lol
Lol I’m American but I’m gonna start saying that. Hilarious! 😂
Oh man, you two are handsome !!! And that accent is amazing.
I am a native New Yorker, born and raised. I enjoyed viewing my city from a different perspective.
So glad you got to see all the sites, especially the FRIENDS building. Glad Joely DID share food with his brother! 🤣🤣🤣. Equally glad you are home safely... 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸
Yeah so happy I got to see the friends building
Right cuz we know Joey "wouldn't share good" lol
Fun vid Joel! Glad you spent some time in NYC with your brother. Good job mate. Love your weekly posts. Thanks! L&C 👍 ♥️😘 🇬🇧
Thank you for taking me all over NY City, you and your brother are awesome 😚💕💥🗽💕
NY looks good on you Joel. You should be here more often, you fit right in
Thank you for sharing your visit to my city! I hope you truly enjoyed it and will be back soon. I have to admit I cringed at Olive Garden, but you do you! Glad you're home safe and dry.
Whoever becomes Joel's partner The way to his heart is through his stomach Love you
hahah that's very true
I get that you view chain restaurants as American comfort food, but you can get so much better food in Manhattan. Next time you’re in the Big Apple, use Yelp (or whatever) and you can find great food in a local restaurant, pretty much wherever you happen to be on Manhattan island.
@@TypoKnig but for two or three times the price . NYC restaurants right now are shattered by the inept city govt
@@geneinpennsylvania I was thinking of more normal times.
Joel go to Elephant and Castle I. The Village - it’s delish
I love Panera bread. They donate their bread and pastries to the food pantry that I volunteer at.i couldn’t tell you how much we get per week but it’s a lot. And we are really great full and the people we feed each week are greatly to. Great video Joel. Loved seeing it and seeing you spending time with your brother. You two should do more vlogs together. Glad that you had fun in New York.
Aw that’s so good to know they do that!
Snow in New York is the best! We went to NYC for our honeymoon several years ago. It was around Christmas time, so NY at Christmas, yeah! And it snowed! It was so magical!
Oh I bet it’s amazing at Christmas!!
That view from the Rock was amazing!! Thank you!
It always fills me with such pride and joy to see people love my city. :)
You and your brother look so different. Each one of you so handsome, like models.
I could make an entire meal out of just Olive Garden salad and bread sticks. Delicious!
SAME! So good!
@@TheJoelWood honestly, if your in NYC and go to Olive Garden your making a massive mistake, go to Arthur Ave. in the Bronx for great Italian, or 50 other restaurants in the city. Joes Pizza downtown, but cmon Olive Garden!
@@ryankozlowski1676 Although I agree, sometimes you don't want to risk it.
Angela Rasmussen Risk what?
If You go to Patsys, you won’t break the bank and it’s got great reviews, and if you look there are plenty of affordable delicious places.
Joel I need to tell you something. I live in the United States and never have I ever seen so much of New York. I love NY from afar because when I was a young school girl on test day I felt very alone afraid I might not do well if it was new material. Then I thought of New York school children two hours ahead of our time in California and this may sound silly...if they got through it I can too. Lol. But back to your vlog....it was incredible...thank you so much for bringing something so...I'm lost for words now...you're very special and cool.
Your brother is Cuuuuuuuuute!
Joel I've noticed your Subs just keep going up. I stared watching you just a few months ago and you only had maybe 13K and now you over 20K, well done. It's funny what people want to watch, but there you have it, they want to watch you.
A lot of us here are from his other channel Joel and Lia. We love them both and love supporting all of their channels. Welcome! This is a great group of people.
Aw thanks so much! It's great isn't it!
The friends apartment!!! Soooo cool 😍 And yeah the Statue of Liberty was smaller than I thought as well lol
So glad you enjoyed yourself! Enjoy the moments you can spend with your brother. Time goes by so fast. I did a trip with my brother in Eastern Europe that I will never forget. I am so glad I got to spend that time with him as he passed away last year unexpectedly. I am sure Ava was so excited to see her Daddy! She is absolutely adorable and so full of life! Her sweet eyes melt your heart! BTW, congrats on reaching 20K subscribers!!!
I just remembered 9/11 when you showed it in this video. Until now it makes me cry. This was a nice video. Truly. You sharing your vulnerabilities, just shows you’re just like the rest of us- human.
Love the NYC scenery!! Thanks for sharing!
So glad you enjoyed NY. I lived in upstate NY for 2 years as a teenager. I loved it there. Unfortunately, I never had the chance to go into NYC so I appreciate watching you and your brother walking around there. Going there is still on my bucket list. You made me laugh at how excited you were about it snowing. I get that same feeling every year with the first snow. Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing.
I really wanna visit upstate one day!
Joel, thank you so much for the very respectful way you videod the 9/11 Memorial. You are such a good person.
❤️
I really look forward to your videos. You and Ben are so handsome.
Siblings in the city! Looks like you packed a lot into a few days. Love the travel vlogs🛫💕
Really liked your walk around New York. I've been to NY many times but never visited the NY Public Library. Thanks for your tour of the library. Great! I used to love going to Radio City Music Hall and listening to the grand organ which was played after the film. Also the Roxy Theater which had shows as well as a film. Thanks, Joel!
Glad you're home safe and that you had a good trip. Please give us a video of your reunion with Ava. I'd still love to see you and Lia take a trip to San Francisco or Seattle. You've seen Florida, Texas, New York and LA but never the upper West Coast.
Will do!
Great ideas Kate!🌷
We loved the video! Thanks for sharing your trip and your brother Ben!
The restaurant in the Friends building is sooo good. I love that whole neighborhood. Great video!
Glad that you finally got to use your birthday present. Very impressive Starbucks! Was a great video and could have watched longer.
Thank you Donnie for your kind generosity to "the kids". That really was a cool looking Starbucks & Lia loves her cute coat! Enjoy the rest of your week Donnie!
Thanks so much Donnie, so kind of you!
They said your name again in the video. 😀.
Great voice. I love seeing what people do in everyday life.
Love the video. Thanks for sharing.
Nice that you’re with your brother. He’s nice too.
When I think of "Friends " I always think of the one where Joey is reading "Little Women ". So funny 😂
Haha such a good scene!
I always make sure there is room in the freezer before I start reading....🤣
Love your cinematography !
Thanks so much Sheila!
This was a great video! Very well edited. Thanks Joel!
Same about the Statue of Liberty. Seems so much bigger in the movies!
It's the camera angles..... make everyone... I mean, everything.... look bigger!
Olive Garden! ❤️
Glad you all had a great time. Nothing better than hanging with family!
Thumbnail looks super handsome as always!!
Excited for another video!
Thanks Kimberly!
I arrived in NYC the day before you left. It actually only snowed one day. I stayed in the Theatre District with my daughter. Did you walk the High Line Park? You and Leah should add Denver, Colorado to your list of places to visit!
Aw shame it was only one day. I’d love to experience NYC in the snow! No didn’t manage to do the high line this time
Lol! Joel: “I love a good moan”. Love it. You really make me laugh a lot!
You look enough like your brother that you can tell your siblings, you have the same smile. At the time, my 2 brothers and I aged 5, 7 & 8 w me being the youngest, we were confused as being triplets. We all had very short hair and wore the same baseball caps and similar jackets. This was mom's choice, not ours cause today, we dress very differently.
I love that you got out and shared this experience with us, where you ate doesn't matter. This is your experience and doesn't have to follow any guidelines unless you're writing a review.
Continue to stay safe!!😄
Highly recommend a few breakfast spots next time you’re in town. Egg Shop in downtown Manhattan or Pies ‘n’ Thighs in Williamsburg. Both give off nice “hipster” vibes. Pies “n” Thighs is more southern comfort and Egg Shop is more gourmet style breakfast with an amazing coffee shop right next door.
Brother was so happy u were able to be here before we all went into lock down. Much love. 🌈🌈
I saw the snow coming down that looked wonderful. You and your brother looked as though you had a great time!
Your both GORGEOUS!!😍😍😍😍
Your mom and dad makes beautiful children.
For sure!!😊
haha I'll pass it on!
You should come back during Christmas
NYC is simply magical at Christmas time
That library is the one they used in, Ghost Busters in the first part of the movie!
That’s so cool!
In the show Sex and the City. It's where Carrie and Mr. Big's wedding almost takes place.
It is also where Jake Gyllenthal's character and friends survived a tsunami and start of the next Ice Age in Day After Tomorrow
Joel, holiday/birthday/vacation foods HAVE NO CALORIES! ;-) Starbucks Reserve is a special Starbucks that don't have posted menus (just handheld drink menus...that also include beer/wine and (sometimes?) cocktails) and more upscale food items than a normal Starbucks, and don't usually allow mobile ordering. And for lattés, the baristas actually do the decorative frothed milk pour most other espresso drink places do. And the to-go cups are double-walled to help keep drinks warmer and not be too hot to hold.
Such a cool posh Starbucks!
Hang in there!🕊
Hi Joel, I love how you paid Tribute to the 911 Victims! I was in SoCa, when that terrible day happened! I want to pay my respects someday at ALL the sites ♥️ I really enjoyed this Video! You & your Brother, could be Twins! Blessings from a long time Viewer/Sub of ALL your Channels. Piper, in Oklahoma 😘♥️
More Ben please. Seems pleasant and easy on the eyes!
So sorry I missed you while you were in NY hometown NYC! So glad you had fun!
Oh Joel, not Olive Garden. Your next trip to NYC you MUST try authentic Italian restaurants!
Haha I love Olive Garden! But yeah would love to try real Italian
We love love love walking around Mew York. A few years ago, while walking past the NYC public library, I needed to use the men’s room. My wife waited outside and I ran in. While fast walking around the inside looking for the restroom, I walked past their copy of the Gutenberg bible. Apparently it’s only ever displayed on rare occasions but that day, the place where it’s kept was being renovated and they just put it on display while the work was being done. It wasn’t even announced.
Such a happy coincidence. It was definitely a memorable experience.
You are always welcome in the states.
Really enjoyed this video!
Thanks so much!
Glad you had fun in NY. YA you got to see snow in NYC. Hope you have a geat night.
Glad you had fun in NYC, hope you were able to see Staten Island. Happy New Year!
This was so fun to watch. I havent been to New York in ages, and it kinda felt like going home a bit. Joel, you look so happy and Ben too, he has such a nice smile. Seems like you guys definitely enjoyed your trip. 😀
Joel, just a word of encouragement: Insteas of allowing yourself to be stressed our about something that is not ideal, put it in God's hands, and set your faith to expect something better to occur. You won't believe how well things will happen when you expect good things to happen.
I seriously watch friends all the time too!! And laugh just the same🤣
Love a good walk about
I LOVE Panera Bread tooooo!!🙌🏼❤️ And you’re welcome for being free therapy 😅
Next time you visit the Northeast, look for the chain called "Sweet Greens." They have soups and salads that are very much comfort foods. They are as savory as a steak or a pizza.
you guys sure hit all the tourist spots. it seems you have a thing for chain restaurants. my husband worked at nbc tv at 30 rockefeller center until he passed eight years ago. ben didn't seem to have a lot to say. i still don't know what he sounds like. anyway, thanks for this video. i'm glad the couple next door at the hotel didn't keep you awake. til next time.
We like the chains because we don't have those chains in the UK!
There is another British tea shop and grocery in that same neighborhood called Tea and Sympathy. The owner is lovely and very involved in the historic preservation of Greenwich Village.
Great vlog Joel!!! 👍 They had vegemite in the British store! Do they realise that it's Australian!
Thanks so much! Haha clearly not!
I think the equivalent is the Estimated Tax here in the states. For the self-employed, we're supposed to pay quarterly during the year otherwise there will be penalties. There are both Federal and State Taxes each time we pay.
Great video!
We went to New York in highschool , one of the activities was to climb the Twin Towers and look down on the Empire State.
I'm so glad we did obviously it's not there any more!
Did you take time to climb the Statue of liberty? It seems a lot bigger when you climb it.
Safe home!
JO JO IN VT 💕☃ 😊
I too love Olive Garden but I couldn’t wait to come read triggered comments about you going to OG in NYC 😂😂
Wendalyn I love the soup salad and breadsticks at OG💜
Love watching you Joel
Thanks so much! I appreciate you watching and supporting me!
Love to see the little snippets of Ben! Don't we all "love s good moan!" Glad it helps you feel better after. 😊
When watching Joel? You know you got food :)
hahahaha!
"feels like Florida" lol I absolutely loved this video Joel, you're killing it!
Haha thanks so much!
Glad you got to see so many sites and not just past them by. I didn't even know about the Friends apartment. :) How was your seat back on the plane? I have the same problem with claustrophobia and need the aisle too, I know exactly how you feel. I once stood on a flight from Newark to Las Vegas for most of the trip due to the airlines changing my seat and putting me in the middle.
Have you visited Grand Central 2 fantastic places to see.
Awesome.
I never saw the statue of Liberty in person, but scaling it looking at videos it seems smaller than it looked in movies. Did you ever see the little one that is the same in Paris? I never knew it was there until I saw that movie with Tom Hanks (The Da Vinci Code maybe?) I just noticed that your brother looks so much like your mum.
Found you because of your Joel and Lia videos. You are a good vlogger. Liked seeing you in New York. New subscriber here
Thanks so much Christine, great to have you here!
The New York public library is beautiful. Went there last time we were in New York.
Great choice to do Top of the Rock!!! I always recommend that over the Empire State Building.
You have probably already been told this but the Little Owl restaurant in the "Friend's building" is excellent! Next time stop there for a bite, you won't be disappointed. You are a real delight to watch, when are you coming to Canada? We have lots of snow here for you!
Joel Could you do a video with you and Lia on how you pack for trips and types of luggage you take. Thanks
I think they did that already. Check past vlogs.
You and your brother are obviously from a very good looking family!!!
Photo shoot on same day you returned from the US - not a brilliant plan! Thanks for the NYC tour! Next time go into the St.Partick'a Cathedral - you were right there on 5th Ave!!
NYC is just the best! Walking around Central Park is my favorite. I live in southern New Jersey.. about an hour and a half from Manhattan.. my husband and I have been getting the itch to move to the city, though. Be part of the madness! Manhattan soooooo expensive, though.
You and your brother are both adorbs!
Always lots of good food in NY!
There are so many delicious restaurants in NYC that are not chain brands. On your next visit you must try restaurants in the local neighborhoods. We go to NYC every year the first weekend in December. It’s decorated for Christmas and we do several Broadway shows but after seeing your vlog of London at Christmas and just experiencing London last month and London theatre, we might have to rethink our December trip. The only issue is NYC is 6 hrs from home which is San Diego and London is 12 hrs.
Don't worry you didn't miss any snow. We still haven't had a decent amount of snow. It just keeps raining.
