This Update CHANGES THE GAME | Lost Ark Guide July 2024

The July patch for Lost Ark brings with it exciting new content including Solo Raids and engraving support for all of your characters in Tier 3. Welcome back lol. Are you going to check out bns classic when it comes out? The permanent roster-wide support engravings are going to help people a lot until they hit 1580 I'd say where people would ask for 5x3+1 setups in most cases, but since solo raids are coming, you can pretty much stay with the free engravings and gems until 1620 without being gatekept, which a great news for new/returning players.

Thanks for the kind words! I do plan to play BNS Neo Classic, I’ve been looking forward to it since it was announced, and I really hope we get some news on a global release soon. I completely agree that people look for 5x3+1 starting at 1580, though I hope that with this update it will ease the party requirements all the way up to Theamine. I think that’s where 5x3+1 or whatever the equivalent in the Ark Passive system will start to be required.

I stopped playing cause I could not make enough gold and players gate keep trying to learn vikas fight so I had to buy expensive bus so I took a break

is this game required you to have 6 characters and do dailies in all of them.. nah sign me out

I personally don’t believe the game absolutely requires you to have 6 characters and play them consistently, especially the global version. The advice that it was required came from english speaking KR streamers when at the time of the global release, the release cadence of content was such that they were able to make giant rosters. The game does reward you for doing weeklies on 6 characters, but by no means is it required to do daily’s on all of them, especially with all the events and materials the global version has gotten, you can easily have only a few characters and be at endgame content if you use your resources right.

In my experience, I don’t feel the game is all that P2W. Sure there are Sidereal Weapons which I think are the most egregious example of P2W in a game I’ve ever played. However my definition of P2W is based on how pressured I feel to spend money on the game, and I have felt truly pressured only once with the Argos release over 2 years ago. I’ve spent around $200 on the game since release, and it’s only ever been because I wanted to make a new character or I wanted a skin. And I believe that’s the majority of the player-base’s experience for the majority of the games life. The release of elixirs and transcendence definitely has made people feel more pressure to spend money, but I truly believe they are nothing compared to other games with more predatory monetization methods.

This game is not pay2win, its pay2flex. If you so obsessed with those whales who ruining your gameplay expirience, just make your lobby and don't accept them lol, problem solved.
