I have been deadlifting for years I used to do 550 lb which is not super amazing but it's pretty heavy but I took like 2 years off and I have been lifting weights in general for 17 years but sometimes you just need to relearn
He explains the 5 steps from the blue book very well. Also explains the reason why for each step. My only observation is that he is making what i consider a typical mistake teaching a girl - using too light a weight. Very light weight on DL teaches false bar path lessons. It floats around. Ideally use 60kg/135lbs. Minimum 40kg/95lbs for a small woman. This gives a truer bar path. Also the bar feels somewhat heavy in the hands, lifter can begin to set bottom position properly, lifter can practice taking slack out of the bar (click).
@@Francesco-cj3oi right at 2:00, 4:27, etc she definitely "overextends" a bit, throws her shoulders back in that typical "look at me, I finished the lift" pose. Cue should be: "just stand up"
"Standing Leg Press" is a wonderful cue. Never thought of it like that, many thanks!
Great explanation, thanks!
thanks Steve!

Top shelf work. Thank you.
She's a beast.
Your mom was a beast last night
Well done by both.
Most excellent
Hello from Canada......where we also use the metric system but most of us speak both 😜

That's my coach! 😊
Beautiful
most parts seem pretty good but the over extension at the end motion should not be there
There is no over extension at the top

@@mkdorkov123 exactly!
@@Francesco-cj3oiIt's definitely an exterior pelvic tilt at the top. She should simply stand tall with her chest out.
@@mkdorkov123 shoulders back is the finishing position of the deadlift and how you stand up
how tall is this dude? like 6'5"???
I think he's even taller
How hips are too low? 90% of the best deadlifters are starting with low hips position
Nice video. Should of ended it with your demonstrator lifting heavy.
Whether it’s squat or deadlift, I just can’t get my hips to go low enough.
try stretching a lil bit to increase mobility, and maybe place small weights bellow your ankles
They're not supposed to go low on the deadlift
@@xmangle5382 It is never mobility in the squat. GAMEONBABE's butt is not far back enough and he/she is not bending over enough.
@@Francesco-cj3oiyup, this ain’t no squat.
This video has been made a million times before with better explanations. Also the explanation is way too slow, put it to 1.5x
Then don't watch it
Also, the video is called "in depth on the deadlift setup"
With lightweight everyone has good form…
Wrong as shit
Incorrect
Why is this form not good?
You start with light weight to get to heavy weight, dumbass.
I speed up most videos
Baby weight..
It's an instructional video, not a powerlifting meet
