Its mostly the Boss's sword swings that are dangerous. Its a long chain attack that'll easily do half your hp. Best thing is to RUN AWAY immediately. He'll catch you if he's too close and you try and run around a corner, so get some distance before then. This guy also chases the highest dps, so if you hang back he won't target you the second time. I think the reason most struggle is that we're using slow clay mores like a water one we get. My lucky gatcha clay-more was no better.
Once you go into the pit, you cannot come out of it... So try to clear the stage completely and then enter the pit or just return to the lobby(you will still get stars)...

@@beijingkaoya no... I am currently in World 6-2 but we can defeat her(old swordsman) even while we are in world 3(it would take more than 2 hours though) by following some simple trick which I saw in RUclips. My current impossible task is to defeat tiger clan dojo... BTW, thanks for replying me...
More interesting fact is that they appear after some seconds after we are dead, and when any hero from the main chapters join us. Edit after 2 years; They are Observers, or whatcher fairies that look after the humanity. Their intention is revealed at world 12+ but I shall not spoil any further

No. You can't defeat the old swordman until you reach world 8. btw you should have 3 heroes in your party, and try to lvl max
