Overbridge sealed the deal for me becoming an Elektron guy. Other than being vaguely aware of Elektron I knew nothing about the company or devices until I happened to see the Syntakt release videos which led to me learning about Overbridge. I immediately knew I had to have it and it was one of the best decisions Ive ever made. I am all in on Elektron now. Ableton Live + Push 3 + Elektron Overbridge Devices = bliss
Such a cool video! I've been setting up my Overbridge workflow with my Digitakt and over the last couple of days. It really opens these devices up with so many possibilities! The biggest limitation I've run into: You can't record the sequencer data of the Digitakt's audio tracks as MIDI. (Only the dedicated MIDI tracks). Imagine being able to: 1. Record your patterns to MIDI note data. 2. Record Parameter Locks via CCs to automation lanes. Then you could edit the notes and automation in your DAW, mute the Digitakt's sequencer tracks, and use the edited MIDI to play the Digitakt. This would be a game changer, and make Elektron boxes the perfect hybrid devices in my opinion. Either way, it's crazy what these devices can do with Overbridge! I think Total Recall is also a slept-on feature that adds loads of possibilities. Thanks for the great videos, Enrique and Mario!
Regarding what you guys were saying about using the Elektron boxes as interfaces. A while ago my main audio Interface broke. But I have a Warm Audio Mic Pre and my Digitakt. I had a ton of vocal recordings to do for clients, and the Digitakt saved my ass while my main interface was being repaired! So for anyone who wants to start recording with mics but only has a Digitakt (or other Overbridge device), you could spend your money on a dedicated mic pre instead of a new interface, and you're good to go!
Great video and topic! I’m experiencing crackles and pops with Overbridge/Ableton (Syntakt) setup on my M1 Mac Studio. I read this is a known issue. This issue cannot be helped by adjusting buffer size. Will there be a fix anytime soon? I’m really not able to use OB at the moment…
Sorry to hear that eddiesmeink! Have you tried reaching out to our support at www.elektron.se/us/support-downloads Scroll down, and you'll see "Contact Support" on the right hand side.
There is something that is perhaps a bit midsleading in this video. The Ableton track labelled "DT Effects" is referring to Ableton FX and not DT Effects. I thought DT Effects could be stemmed via Overbridge but it's looks like that's not possible?
i know the Elektron sequencer is famous and all, but i also use Reason 12 DAW, and they have some very cooI MIDI devices called players. I'd love a tutorial or so to record MIDI from different sources (MIDI keyboard, Players, MIDI VST's ) into Elektron boxes...
Overbridge is fantastic but there is one big issue that has been commented in the forums but never addressed. As you can see audio comes really low from overbridge and eventhough it can be turned up afterwards the waveforms look very flat which is really annoying. Please add an option to control the volume that goes to the daw. Any thoughts @WeAreElektron?
A tutorial on syncing up scene changes and pattern changes between the DT/DN and ableton would be cool
Yeah I wouldnt mind that.

magic moments in the end - great job!

Will both of you be at NAMM in January? I am starting a company that skins products and I’d like to connect!
thanks for all the great videos Elektron, question: can Digitakt/Overbridge control the transport controls of a DAW (Cubase)? thank you!

AAX! YES!!!!

'Zoom in the geezer mode'😂 That hurts!

which headphones are those?
i'm confused why its not for octatrack ? can someone explain
I believe that the Octatrack hardware does not have this sort of capability built into the USB port. So it will never be able to stem via Overbridge.
Could you please how to set the effects return as a track on Ableton please?
Yes unclear how it was set up
I agree that would be nice!
Yes Please !
Yes please this would make a good video

Please can you do a tutorial for linking with logic too? Or outline what to do? Thanks
Sounds like a great idea!
