It turned out so cute! I think if you sized up your crochet hook just half a mm, you could get a granny square that looks the same proportionally (colorwise) but scales better to your body size for the particular design you were following. That or you could have joined the squares with a row of single crochet between them on all sides to bulk them up just a tiny bit, but then the proportion of the red to the other colors might not have been as aesthetically pleasing. I remember when acnh came out, and it was just the best thing bc we were at home all day. The one good thing covid brought me was those happy memories. I wish they still updated it, but bc they haven’t I’ve grown out of playing it 😭
I love the blocking board. I have been wanting to get a blocking board, but all the ones you find online are expensive! Pegboard and dowels from the hardware store is a brilliant idea. Thank you.
I feel like Pound of Love is so underrated for big projects? I made a whole blanket recently that was mostly black and light grey. Only needed 1.5 skeins of black and half of the grey and it is really freakin nice! Not to mention the cost compared to buying impeccable. I saved so much money using it instead lol.
This sweater turned out so super cute! Kinda tempting me to find one of the other sweaters in game and try to recreate it. I've got one somewhere on that file. I just have to dodge my very angry villagers first....
Pound of Love is one of my fave yarns. Wish there were more colours. So much yarn on a ball too!

This turned out fabulous and suits you so well. This gave me inspiration, as I made loads of two rounds of granny squares to finish them in black and make a blanket. But after seeing your video, im going to make a similar jumper with those mini squares.

girlie, that sweater has variants and you chose the hardest one, because that one is with granny squares, the other ones are just big pannels with some cute details. and the reason why it is harder is: PROPORTIONS. so that's why you had to do so many extra rows
... Up till right now I always tthoughtt those were flowers. I only now realize tthey're granny squares. I love that sweater so much more now.

but however I don’t understand why would you do a single crochet in the up and under the granny Square while you already worked double crochet on the granny Square that’s gave it different textures that make it iffy if I would do that and I really like it ❤ and I will probably do it for myself. I would do double crochet because I don’t like mixing single crochet double crochet in the same panel.
When making a granny square sweater it's so difficult knowing whether the proportions are going to match what you want in a sweater or fit your body size. If the yarn or hook size is one level different, it can either be way too tight or just absurdly massive, and that will also vary depending on yarn material (cotton, acrylic, and wool yarn all stretch very differently)! You did a good job getting a fit that you like while still maintaining the look of the original so overall success!

i stopped playing acnh because everyone had the cooking portion of the game and i didn't i got it 4 months after it was released and was so excited. i thought id get the option after i got all the ingredients and nothing checked reddit and realized i was supposed to get it almost as soon as i created an island. restarted 4 times and nothing i even made sure it was updated. i was so disappointed
the mainstays yarn is surprisingly good for being walmart-brand yarn, nothing fantastic but less scraggly than red heart super saver imo 😂

nintendo isnt official in my country india, so i had to pay more to buy a switch console but acnh kept me sane during the pandemic. I love this game and the amount of money i spent just to buy a console to play this game was worth it. 💜 I played it everyday for a year. At my speed im pretty sure this would take me months

Once the squares were attached, i did 6 rows of single crochets the length of the 4 squares. If that makes sense lol

Michelle, how about you considering making a pattern from Etsy or from other RUclipsr designer that would take off a lot of pressure on you and give us a good content to watch you make something and actually something you would wear out and you would like to style.
