CORRECTIONs/UPDATES: * Marka Ragnos was a descendant of AJUNTA PALL... not Naga Sadow, who was the Sith who fought at his funeral and won. (typo) * Freedon Nadd had an orange shoto lightsaber (in the video he accidental borrowed a fellow Sith's lightsaber) * Lightsabers vs Swords vs Powerpacks - The lore and official images is all over the place concerning what the Exiled Dark Jedi had for weapons. There's a mix of all options in this video. As for the exact weapons, SWTOR (the game shown in this video) only has so much available.
Nice work I have loved this game since it was released, but this is good work and by using the in game visuals + artwork you have produced some very impressive results. well done.
Swtorista I have a fanfiction story that revolves around the SWTOR universe, if you are interested. In it, Ajunta Pall gave rise to a line that continued even after the Great Hyperspace War. The name: Rebirth of the Revanchist. It can be found on Fanfiction.net. If you want to know what the characters look up my deviantART profile under this name. Have a great day and may the Force be with you, always.
So this whole thing started because some studious dude "discovered the secrets of creating and shaping life", but rather than using that knowledge to help others, the Jedi excommunicated him? 🤔 So much for the "light" side.
Also it's not like there weren't any dark side users before Ajunta Pall. He was merely the leader of the group who first discovered the sith species (who were all dark side users) and declared himself their lord. (hence the title) So he was the first sith lord, but the sith are only one group of darf side users among many.
I'm para-phrasing but like Revan said, The force existed long before the Jedi and Sith divided it, and it will exist long after they both turn to dust. It's like our concept of time, it doesn't really exist/work on the universal scale, it's a human construct.
This video was awesome! Thank you for continuing where Gnost-Dural left off, I love Old Republic lore. I got into SWTOR largely because of your videos, thanks for your hard work!
So glad you did this! Please do more, and explore “legends” history. I loved the original videos they did pre-launch and this was a wonderfully done “rebooting” of this series. Keep it up!
Excellent work. I like how this picks up after the last of Gnost Dural’s records and expands on the history of the Sith and the Dark Jedi. Excellent quality!😊👍
These types of videos are very much in line with the types of videos I’d like to see more of. I’m something of a lore buff myself and enjoy learning new and interesting things about the Star Wars universe
Addendum to my last post: for the record I just want people to know that I in no way want this game to be so difficult that it's like dark souls or anything I just want it to be back to the healthy ,fun, exciting ,and engaging state that it was in back in the days of shadow of Revan or even earlier... As it stands right now all PVE content on every single planet outside of the class stories ;which you really just rush through because of the ridiculously easy combat and your overpowered Companions and the unbelievably overpowered leveling system ; has literally all become irrelevant, which is truly saddening and heartbreaking because there is such a great wealth of awesome content on each planet with great side quests, excellent writing, voice acting and cutscenes Etc..#saveswtor
Thanks, Swtorista, you've made yet another great video. Excellent history of the Sith. I appreciate all that you do for us Swtor players. Thanks again Swtorista, your the best!
This was SO awesome! The way you use SWTOR for visuals was magnificent! Where can I read about all you said? (As this new Star Wars stuff has yoda turning over in his grave 🙄)
So much good lore out there! Here's the names of them, you can look them up on Wookiepedia starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page Here are their names Ajunta Pall XoXaan Remulus Drepya Karness Muur Tulak Hord Marka Ragnos Naga Sadow Freedon Nadd Exar Kun Ulic Qel-Droma Gav Daragon Jori Daragon Darth Andeddu
So much history! Also, considering how many Jedi fall when searching for information about sith I am a bit worried about sending one of my allies to investigate a lead involving an ancient sith 😳
YO! This was so well made! This is so cool! Making a video about star wars like a educational holovid from the Jedi temple was a brilliant idea! Made me instantly impressed and interested.
Needed more detail on Ulic Qel-Droma - his fall to the dark side (and redemption) was much more interesting than just "he played with Sith artifacts and the predictable happened." Great video though!
Swtorista thanks for the response. 😊 I recommend “Tales of the Jedi: Dark Lords of the Sith,” and it’s sequel, “Redemption.” They still hold up pretty well, for being ~20 years old now.
Oh, absolutely. But she asked me for just the basics of his character arc, and she just chose not to expand on it like she did with the truly ancient Sith Lords. That said, Swtorista, I'm perfectly willing to provide more information on each character when you do this again. :)
@6:05 Incorrect. The duel between Naga Sadow and Ludo Kresh was interrupted by GIGACHAD Marka Ragnos, who returned as a force ghost, and tell them to go to their rooms. Naga Sadow then used the broke out the captured Republic adventurer (Daragon siblings), pretend it’s a Republic invasion, and used it as a tool to gain power for his progressive wing, and named Dark Lord. He never beat Kresh in the duel!
Simply AMAZING ! ! ! How long have you been working on this? Appears you own LOTS (all?) of gear seen in this video. This is the best SWTOR player production I've seen. Thanks for this, I learned a lot.
I hope Bioware acknowledges this and you get credit where credit is due. Again, amazing work. I could clearly see your dedication to getting this done right. Before I share it, please let me know if this has been shared on swtor.com and Twitter. Don't want it to seem like it's being spammed.
Theres a running theme here i think i figured out. Jedi rejected my the order, goes in search of power for revenge, sith turn him to the darkside and hes killed by his followers....
Yeah, there's not as many prominent ancient Jedi mentioned in Legends, and even fewer that has an armor to represent them in game. That said, when they do introduce Jedi lore armors into the game, I'll definitely send swtorista what I know about them along to her.
Awsome video girl, just awsome. Just something it came to me, there r few lightsabers that greatly ressembles kun's d lightsaber. Again awsome videos do something like that for jedi.
this might be a strange and I'll admit a rather dumb question but why isn't Aloysius Kallig mentioned, I mean sure there is so very little about him aside from both his death and that he defeated Tulak's greatest general before getting betrayed. I just figured he would be considered as one of the ancient sith even if he was largely erased
Hey! So funy story - this video started as a fashion showcase of these cartel armors. I just expanded it into some sweet sweet lore video. You're right though - there's so little lore on kallig it would be a really short entry!
@@Swtorista True Aloysius Kallig after his death was likely erased and the only real mention was from Tulak Hord suggesting that he was the most ambitious of his rivals which meant he was the first to die, all we do know is from the inquisitor storyline. I actually went out my way to recreate Kalligs look for my Inquisitor couldn't get the CM destroyer set so I went with a crafted version from the synthweaving crew skill which is pretty much the same as Kalligs armor but with a hood (hate how we can't use the hood with Kalligs helmet anymore) but this method was the most annoying one to do on a fresh character you need synthweaving 400 for the crafting along after reading the schematics for each piece then be level 50 to wear it armor is heavy armor restricted but the outfit designer helps but still the destroyer set would have been easier
@@Swtorista understandable. The Orbalisk armor in game doesn't specifically reference Darth Bane, but as far as I know it's only mentioned in the Darth Bane trilogy. Thank you again for the great run through!
I would just like to point out a small detail for everyone that dont know the old republic universe too well. Muur's talisman transformed people into Rakghouls.
I love the ancient mysteries too. So I would be a Jedi shadow. I think they were bringing peace throughout the galaxy in a different way, using lightsaber's lol
I love Tulak Hord's armor, but the guy really stands out. I assume that SWTOR wanted to make him more Vaderesque, but he doesn't look like the Sith of old times in the least. The lightsaber is another continuity issue.
loved the video but i feel that the character you used to look like Ajunta Pall should have had a doublebladed vibroblade as in Kotor 1 you could go to Ajunta's tomb and recover the doublesided war blade he used to stay true to his character. but i still enjoyed your retelling of the ancient sith it was very interesting to learn their history
The most directly covered were Naga Sadow, Jori and Gav, Exar Kun, Ulic Qel-Droma and the others in the Tales of the Jedi comics. The truly ancients made cameos in comics set in future eras, cameos in books set in future eras, and in Ajunta Pall's case, KOTOR 1. Interestingly, Marka Ragnos and Freedon Nadd were essentially minor characters in the Tales of the Jedi comics, too. All their stories were fleshed out in either the pen and paper books released by West End Games and Wizards of the Coast, or in the Essential Guides to the Force.

I didn't even notice that you didn't fix that in the script after I proofread it. :)
Nice work I have loved this game since it was released, but this is good work and by using the in game visuals + artwork you have produced some very impressive results.
well done.
exarkun part is wrong.
Swtorista your voice is to soothing to be mortal 😥
Marka ragnos was alive before junta was
that voice😍 still prefer sith over jedi tho
To understand the Sith. One must think like the Sith & have the power of the dark side of the force
What I find most fascinating is that the Sith perfected the lightsaber. They found out how to arc the sabers energy in the hilt to power itself.
Beautiful video Swtorista, I don't have the words to express how well done this video was.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Hehe. I'm sure there's more to the story, the comics and books have a lot more nuance than covered in this video.
Also it's not like there weren't any dark side users before Ajunta Pall. He was merely the leader of the group who first discovered the sith species (who were all dark side users) and declared himself their lord. (hence the title)
So he was the first sith lord, but the sith are only one group of darf side users among many.
They were using that stuff to basically subjugate entire civilizations.

Not quite, he was not creating new life like healing and stuff. He is like merging two creatures against their will to create monsters.
Good on you for finishing these when bioware wouldn't. Please continue it.
Oh my gosh! Swtorista this is amazing! PLS do more!
Ditto!!!
Yes do more of these please :3
I really enjoyed this and appreciate the hard work required to put this together.
Cheers!
Glad you enjoyed it.
We need more Star Wars Lore videos from you!
This video was awesome! Thank you for continuing where Gnost-Dural left off, I love Old Republic lore. I got into SWTOR largely because of your videos, thanks for your hard work!
Woah this was awesome. The nostalgia hit me hard! Great stuff!

Thanks, Swtorista, you've made yet another great video. Excellent history of the Sith. I appreciate all that you do for us Swtor players. Thanks again Swtorista, your the best!
I screamed on the insides when this was posted. Thanks
If you were an Ancient Sith Lord you would make people scream on the outside too :D
:D
I always wanted this series to continue! Thankyou!
Cheer! I always wished they would continue too.
You've made an absolutely amazing video!! Thank you for your hard work!
Nice video very good work.
This was an awesome vid, feel free to make more like it. Love the effort you put into recreating the Sith ingame

Thank you Swtorista!
Really good. I hope there is more like this coming :)
Please, continue with the jedi archive !!! the first one is great, but this is just amazing!!!
So much history!
Also, considering how many Jedi fall when searching for information about sith I am a bit worried about sending one of my allies to investigate a lead involving an ancient sith 😳
Nice work here. Wonderfully presented.
Awesome vid Swtorista!

Great video! I love ancient Star Wars lore!
Nicely done! Need MOAR
This is extremely in depth. This is fantastic for a Star Wars fanatic like me. This is AWESOME!!!
Thanks! Really enjoyed working on this one
This video is brilliant Nice work Swtorista the work and detail in this video is amazing
Very interesting I would like to see more videos like this
I hope you do an updated version of this video but alot longer. I love this video.
i love the voice and artistic style of your video
Very well made.
I like that you used the same style and music as the old promo videos did. Great job!
THanks, it was fun to recreate!
This was great dude!
Thanks Shaneful!
i like the condensed lore videos. Keep it up!
Magnificent Video! Thank you very much.
Needed more detail on Ulic Qel-Droma - his fall to the dark side (and redemption) was much more interesting than just "he played with Sith artifacts and the predictable happened." Great video though!
I'll have to dig a little deeper in to reading about Ulic Qel-Droma! So many of the sith lords had more lore than I could cover here.
Swtorista thanks for the response. 😊 I recommend “Tales of the Jedi: Dark Lords of the Sith,” and it’s sequel, “Redemption.” They still hold up pretty well, for being ~20 years old now.

You forgot that the Murr Talisman created the first Rakghouls.
Superb video!
Please continue these!!
This was very interesting stuff! Good job! Keep up the good work!
Cheers!
You did an amazing job with this video! WOW!
Cheers!
This was amazing! Great job as really ties in all of our missions in the game
THIS IS AWESOME. please do moreee! Great job.
Lore!! Keep it up! This is great! 👏👏👏
~ Thanks for making this Video ~
Wow! Everything you put out is good. Keep it up, your doing great!
Cheers! Thanks and glad you are enjoying it!
Wow wonderful work.

This is an amazing video, DEW MOAR
These histories were such a great read in the comics a long time ago.
Very cool Video.
Great job!
Amaizing work. Thank you so much! =D
Once a sith legend, always a sith legend
Very good video, keep up the good work, maybe one on more modern Sith lords, such as Bane or Krayt, just a suggestion...
Incredible job. Thankyou for all the work do.
Awesome 👏🏼😊✅⭐️!.
Simply AMAZING ! ! ! How long have you been working on this? Appears you own LOTS (all?) of gear seen in this video. This is the best SWTOR player production I've seen. Thanks for this, I learned a lot.

This is some good workl
Thank you!
what an awesome video!
Thanks!
Love it great job
This was awesome! Hope you're doing one with Jedi as well :)
OMG! Thank god! I've been waiting on Master Gnost-Dural for fucking ever!
Theres a running theme here i think i figured out.
Jedi rejected my the order, goes in search of power for revenge, sith turn him to the darkside and hes killed by his followers....
No kidding!! The Jedi make their own worst enemies!
THat was a great video. Are you going to do a Ancient Jedi one to?
AS far as I can tell there are not many Anicent Jedi that are as cool as the Ancient Sith. The few I know of became fallen Jedi!
Yeah, there's not as many prominent ancient Jedi mentioned in Legends, and even fewer that has an armor to represent them in game. That said, when they do introduce Jedi lore armors into the game, I'll definitely send swtorista what I know about them along to her.

Great video. Do more!
Nicely done
Wicked video!
Cheers!
Very good and informative video SWTORISTA, even though this was before my time.
great video :D thanks ;)
This is amazing!!!!!
Wow awsome stuff :D
That Karness Muur face will give me nightmares.
It was very fun to make :D
this...is....beautiful :') it's so goood
Really awesome video! Your voice is so soothing, you should work as a professional voice actress
Love it. I only wish you'd included Darth Bane's legacy by using the Orbalisk armor, tieing the "rule of two" into the sith history.
Sadly I could only do characters whose armor exist in the game haha
