I don't even wanna listen to this new "Dead Boys". A minute or two of this and I've had enough. I'm disappointed Cheetah changed his mind. I guess he needed the money. On the Dead Boys "Live at CBGB 1977" dvd (released in 2004) he clearly said in the extras: "As far as a reunion, or anything like that, I couldn't do it without Stiv. And there is no other singer. I've been offered money to do it with other singers... and I couldn't do it. Stiv is my brother and there's no way in hell that... it wouldn't be the Dead Boys without Stiv. And there's no reason to do it. There'll be one more reunion - and that's not gonna be on this planet [i.e. in Heaven].
I am never a fan of the women being all haughty on stage. From a writer's standpoint, I find it distracting to the music. It's trite, trying too hard, and cheezy, in my opinion. I just want to yell: Get off the fookin' stage for ffs! LOL
I guess this gives us an insight into what the Dead Boys would have looked like today if Stiv had lived and swapped drugs for carbs. And swapped his band out for stand-ins. And based his stage moves and interjected screams, wails and moans on old concert footage of himself. And still wore that tie and stripey tee shirt that he wore in that CBGB footage from 1977. Timecapsule karaoke. If this had been billed as Cheetah Chrome and James Williamson play the music of the Dead Boys, that would have shown integrity at least.
great reincrnation!!, jason willer (uk subs, jello biafra) on drums, yeah Cheetah!!!
Really great. Keep it up!
I love this 🥰

Cry me a river.
Punk is not dead
Miss ya Stiv
what are we supposed to say about the person undressing onstage lol
The singer's great but there's just no substitute for Stiv! Hard to believe he's been gone almost 30 years.
another one talking about "substitutes" , turn the page boy!!
He's not a substitute, he's the new singer. A great one.
Sure are a lot of Stooges songs for a half an hour dedicated to Dead Boys songs.
14:42 James Williamson introduction!!!

As it happens, they should have just called this band Iggy and the Stooges. It would have been just as relevant.
