The film makers tried to hard to be traditional AC that they failed miserably. If the cut out all the memory crap and just did a story about the assassins and not someone just in their body, it could of been good. But they didn’t have the guts to give a finger to the AC lore. And they paid for it.
I love the symbolism in 2:30 - 2:32 and how Arno and Elise are compared to the broken hands of Arno’s watch in the flash of the last frame. Which, through the context of the game, makes sense, as both of them are going against their creeds (arno’s being the Assassins, and Elise, the Templars) in order to avenge the death of Elise’s father. The two have “broken” from the cogs of their organizations to achieve a goal that affects both the Templars and Assassins. I’m impressed with how much thought they put into a less-than-three-minute video. One of, if not my favorite game in the AC franchise!
And the trailer is similar to the AC1 trailer, with the protagonist stopping an execution and assassinating the main guy right before he pulls out his sword.
I thought they chose this because of the piece of buggy laggy shit co-op they added, which noone asked for, lmao and then there's Syndicate with 2 main character but no co-op
The very last true Assasin's Creed with it's mystery and an actual Assasin's in it, who respects all the rules Don't know why, but i'd prefer this type of game on the next-gen every day instead of these RPG's we have right now

As I am currently through 60% with the game the free running is the best it has ever been but the controlling is frustrating when it comes to combat and stealth as well as combat being as clumsy as ac1 unfortunately

Honestly one of the best settings for an Assassins Creed, combined with the good parkour mechanics and gameplay. If only the story could've been better. This was also one of the few Ac games where you actually felt like an Assassin.
Yeah I just finished it and p much everything you said is dead on. The story wasn't bad but it was definitely the weakest link of the overall experience and the co op should have been integrated better and in a way that isn't just cloning arno 4x.

no one should be able to find this comment but I just need to get this off my chest. If you go to 1:45 and the second it changes the scene to the crowd shouting, you can find a pair of twins. One is standing in the bottom left (old dude) and the other is at bottom right'sh (also old dude).
I just realised something, Arno had his hood down at the end. I think this is implying that when he stood his ground with Elise, he wasn't standing with her as an Assassin but as himself, Arno Dorian. It didn't matter if she was a templar or not because at that moment, he wasn't an Assassin.
Even though Co-Op was glitchy at launch, Unity and Black Flag are my favorite assassin's creed games to date. Unity had the best animations when it came to fighting and parkour and Black flag had the best open world and story.

no one should be able to find this comment but I just need to get this off my chest. If you go to 1:45 and the second it changes the scene to the crowd shouting, you can find a pair of twins. One is standing in the bottom left (old dude) and the other is at bottom right'sh (also old dude).

I just realised something, Arno had his hood down at the end. I think this is implying that when he stood his ground with Elise, he wasn't standing with her as an Assassin but as himself, Arno Dorian. It didn't matter if she was a templar or not because at that moment, he wasn't an Assassin.

Even though Co-Op was glitchy at launch, Unity and Black Flag are my favorite assassin's creed games to date. Unity had the best animations when it came to fighting and parkour and Black flag had the best open world and story.

Ah yes. AC Unity and Syndicate(plus Jack the Ripper DLC) were the last Assassin's Creed games to be faithfully to the fans before it lost its soul by Ubisoft.
