"The Creed of the Assassin's Brotherhood teaches us that nothing is forbidden to us. Once, I thought that meant we were free to do as we would. To pursue our ideals, no matter the cost. I understand now. Not a grant of permission. The Creed is a warning. Ideals too easily give way to dogma. Dogma becomes fanaticism. No higher power sits in judgement of us. No supreme being watches to punish us for our sins. In the end, only we ourselves can guard against our obsessions. Only we can decide whether the road we walk carries too high a toll. We believe ourselves redeemers, avengers, saviors. We make war on those who oppose us, and they in turn make war on us. We dream of leaving our stamp upon the world...even as we give our lives in a conflict that will be recorded in no history book. All that we do, all that we are, begins and ends with ourselves" third of my favorite speeches of ACs games.
Dude lost everything and have no one to actually guide him unlike other assassins who has someone to watch their back. Altair had Al-Mualim, Ezio had his family, Connor had his friends in the tribe, the people at Homestead, Edward had Charles Vane, Blackbeard, Anne Bonny, Ben Hornigold, Mary Read, Adewale, Jacob and Evie had each other. Anyone who is close to Arno tend to die very quick. Hell, the guy was living the height of the bloodiest revolution in the world pretty much explain everything.

Arnos is no where near as depressing as Connors. Lost his mother in a fire, grew up an orphan even tho his father was alive, had to kill his father when they did manage to get over the past. Had to kill his bf, was betrayed by his ally (Washington) and had to shoulder the responsibility of restoring the entire brotherhood from nothing then had to bury his mentor. Let's not forget when his people left him and were driven to extinction. Then there's the final nail in the coffin when he managed to have a family of his own and his wife and kids left him because of his occupation as an assassin (according to the abstergo handbook)

I don't understand why is Arno being flaked so much. Every Assassin is unique, every assassin was tasked with something or made his own choice for the greater good. just because Arno didn't build an entire brotherhood or did something extraordinary, doesn't make him any less of an assassin. Beginning from his childhood (his father) till the end (step father and Elise)he had to see them die before his eyes primarily through murder. The pain and despair is enough reason for him to be an assassin and do what is right. Yes there is a love story involved too, but the primary reason he became an assassin was to avenge Monsieur de la Serre and protect Elise eventually.

We know he rejoined the Brotherhood but we don't see it. Arno isn't the issue: It's whoever decided to end the story at that point. They should have shown how he got back to the Brotherhood. Arno seemed to be getting better in Dead Kings but it was too vague at the end. Unused potential.
I don't know why people hate on Arno's story. Yeah he has nothing to do with the pieces of Eden but he encountered one in the Dead Kings DLC. So he had something to do with it. He's some what like Ezio. Born immature but grew a warrior.
In my opinion this tribute highlights what should have been the core of the story and instead seemed as tho Arno was a great character, but the actions he takes and such within the story seem to just be kind of stretched. Like after he was exiled he reserved no resistance by the order when he persuid members of the templar order. And his relationship with the traitor friend (name plz) should have been more fleshed out and drawn upon so when he did do his thing it could have been more impactful and it should have taken a span of a few missions maybe even a lengthy side mission.
People hate Arno's story because it was more related to his personal life than his Assassin life in a way. Unity could have been MUCH better. Germain is such a wasted villain, if you ask me he was one of the best antagonists of the franchise but the story was just weak.

Seeing as this video is 7 years old, this will probably get lost under the other hundreds of comments here, but man, to think this game released almost 10 years ago is insane. I think the word ‘underrated’ is overused for everything, but for this game it seems kind of deserving. Assassin’s Creed Unity was a mess at launch, but over the years I came to appreciate it vastly more than before. It is by no means a perfect game, but it was the type of story that deserved a sequel. Dead Kings DLC suggested Arno’s next destination was Egypt, and it really seemed like the devs wanted to push his story further. But instead of doing so, they’ve created this routine of introducing a new protagonist every game. Every game in the franchise you can either love or hate, but there’s always one aspect you can look at and appreciate. AC2 introduced Ezio and dedicated not one but three games building his character arc. AC3 introduced Connor, and focused on the events of the war. Ubi released additional games following the characters of Shay and Aveline. AC4 introduced Edward and Adawale even got his own DLC. Even if I didn’t like one game, I could convince myself to try it out because I wanted to see where the story picked up. Every character felt like they were coming together in one way or another, but between Unity and Origins, it’s like their writing direction changed. No more expansions, but plenty of references to all our favorite characters as if to say “hey, we didn’t forget about them! We’re going to reference them everywhere, but we’re not going to let you play as them or see the impacts their actions had over the course of history! Connor and Arno teaming up against Shay? Hah! Think again my sweet summer children!” We’ve explored all these different time periods, but does anyone remember when people made all these fake fan trailers for an AC game set in the future? People thought we were going to get a modern-day AC. But now I don’t even give a shit about the modern day! The direction of the story feels so convoluted, that I don’t feel like catching up or reading the lore anymore. My boy Desmond has been gone for so long, and not even his return could restore my faith in this franchise.
THIS TRIBUTE IS FANTASTIC. THANK U FOR SHARING IT. I LOVE ARNO DORIAN SOO MUCH HE IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL , LOVABLE AND AMAZING ASSASSIN . I;VE PLAYED ALL OF THE GAMES AND DESPITE THE NEGATIVITY EVERYONE THREW AT THIS GAME I ONLY FALL MORE IN LOVE WITH IT EACH AND EVERY TIME I PLAYED IT. PROBABLY BECAUSE I USED TO WORK AT UBISOFT AND UNITY WAS THE GAME I HAD TO TEST AND I JUST FELL IN LOVE WITH IT AND TREATED IT LIKE IT WAS MY OWN PROJECT , STILL PLAY IT TODAY AND STILL ARNO IS MY FAVORITE.
Unpopular opinion: I prefer Arno over Ezio. He is more relatable because he makes mistakes and screws up like a normal human while Ezio on the other hand, he _fixes_ mistakes of other people.
Incredible video. I too found Arno to be my second favourite assassin, this is actually my second favourite AC game. The only thing i disagreed with was the ending with Elise, i wanted her to wait for him and so that she could live. Ubisoft always kills the romantic lead or finds a way to end it. I just would of loved to have played as Elise in a DLC.
you really have me feeling emotions and chills on my arms....beautifully done....finished UNity yesterday and it had me swallowing some tears away at the end and reading/hearing Elises final letter....perfect how that is incoorporated in this montage...perfect video- and audio-work! Bravo!
Arno is one of the most tragic Assassin’s Creed protagonists. He lost his father, and his girlfriend, and had to kill his own mentor. He lost everyone he cared about. Still, as the Dead Kings DLC demonstrates, he remained a true assassin to the end.
Unity was something absolutely supperior when it comes to story. To this day I just love Arno's monologue about the creed. It's so sad, so desperate and chilling, but on the other hand its so full of hope and vision for brighter future tbh. Unity is the beast installment in the series and for sure one of the best stories I ever could experience.
I recently replayed this game, and I just want to say, even tho it had a slopy release, right now, after the patches, this game is an underrated gem. Gameplay wise, it's definatly above AC 1, 2 (didn't age that well), and 3. And storywise, while lacking worldbuilding (Specificly info about Those Who Came Before), it's an amazing redemption story.
Yet the charisma and euphemism of one wild lad who saw other men in his immediate family hanged thus changing him almost completely, his story is still the most iconic in all of AC-Verse. That brash youngan rose to become the second God father of Assassin's after Altair. The one Ezio Auditorre De Ferenze. Arno has a place in history and UBISOFT could do more justice with him but Ezio is a legend. We still cherish and play and cry with Ezio in assassin creed 2 all the way to revelation. It's not about the graphics but the story and the art of story telling that UBISOFT is somehow losing it slowly....
*****"Fanboys" Lol stfu no people who have actually played the original AC games. Tell me who's your favourite? You also called him fucking Enzio it just shows you know fuck all about the series
***** I never said I knew anything about you, I asked you who your favourite character is, fucking hell. And how does that confirm I'm an EZIO (not ENZIO) fanboy? 80% of the people who have played assassin's creed would agree he is the best character. You've probably not played most of the games
I went through a bit of comments and everyone has a favorite from each game. one arno and Ezio, one shay and Edward or bayek .. etc. That's why the AC series is the best series made by now. One of all the games still hits you. Each has a character to his liking. That's diversity
Personally I loved this game, yes it had its flaws and probably more so than AC normally does, but I feel it was a step in the right direction. It tried to get back to the struggle between the templars and assassins and showed both sides to have their demons. Arno was interesting because he never truly followed the brotherhood but instead used it to his own end which created a very different kind of character and even the combat whilst awkward at times, I felt made it more of a challenge something I felt was lacking since AC III when thanks to weapons like the tomahawk you could take enemies down in no time. Had they spent more time on it and had the ending tied things together a bit better I feel this would of been my perfect AC game!
My favorite assassin. I hope they make a sequel to him during Napoleonic wars. I want to see more of him especially after dead Kings we saw he matured and is focused more on the brotherhood.
This game is an underated AC gem (at the moment. The release was sloppy). But I wouldn't want a sequel, even tho I love Arno. His story was a story about redemption and not one of growth like Ezio's. The ending is imo perfect (including the novel) and I wouldn't want to ruin it by adding unnesesery extra's. Same goes for Ratonhnaké:ton.
Unity doesn't get the credit it deserves. Perhaps I like it as much as I do because it was the first AC game I played, and that wasn't until it was already patched. Arno can be a whiny little bitchboy though, and Unity isn't even close to being the best in the series, but I do like it.
TopNotchStoner AC Unity isn't a game, it is a movie, what a beautiful art work they've done in this game, sadly, when the story becomes interesting the game ends, and lot of bugs come with it hahaha. I love so much the Ezio trilogy and AC 3, AC Black Flag have the most beautiful map of all games, AC Syndicate, what a shit game
I definitely agree that Unity's story doesn't really get good until the end, but it's easily the most realistic combat in the series, which I like. Ezio Trilogy is great and I can't wait for it to come to PS4. Also, I agree with you about AC3 and it is way too underrated. It may even be my favorite in the series. honestly.
Zack Fair My main gripe with Unity is that they omitted the white-room confessions when you assassinate a target. It's just stupid that they decided to have Arno see those annoying flashbacks/memories to get information.
I have Unity myself (patched). Definetly not as bad as people say, i'm actually having quite a bit of fun with it. The side missions are rather interesting to play (especially the Murder Mysteries and the Co-Op/Heist missions, the first actually have you USE YOUR MIND to find the murderer, and sometimes, there's more than one suspect, but only one is the murderer, and the latter, while not as expanded as the Multiplayer in AC3/Black Flag, are still fun to play with people), the Opportunities system for the assassinations is a nice nod to AC1 (the game that makes you feel the most like an "assassin", despite it's repetitive gameplay structure), Germain was a pretty good antagonist, some characters were pretty well done (Napoleon for example), the customization is really well done (stealth or combat, and for combat you have speed, range, or damage, not to mention you have a ton of color choices, more than the dyes in the Ezio trilogy, including a standard Assassin color scheme if you don't like Arno's colors), the combat is actually challenging this time (you can parry and counter, but the counter is no longer an insta-kill, and you got leveled enemies and equipment as well), the graphics are top-notch), and Arno is a character with quite a lot of potential, even if Ubisoft didn't use it all.
Played this in 7th grade, i got the game as a combo with the Xbox one. I fell in love with the combat system and story as soon as I first got my hands on it. Now as a high school senior, coming back to this game brings a lot of memories and joy and I gotta say this game is probably in my top 3 favorite assassins creed games
This is an amazing trailer, and really expresses the essence of the story of Unity. In my opinion, this is one of the best storylines of the franchise, not the best game sadly because it faulted in the glitches and depth the rest of the game took, the side missions could be more varied such as The Witcher 3. The dillema Arno faces and the conclusion he reaches in the finale are really meaningfull and ask questions no other AC game has asked before.
Well no, everything you see in this tribute IS the personality the developers intended and produced within the game. The tribute simply enhances and condenses said personality for the sake of brevity.
@@Brandolor1 A tribute would bring out the best of a character but on a collective scale and quite evidently, Arno lacked the characterisation that would lure an audience into his fanatacism. This was certainly not the case with past assassins like Ezio and Edward whose character developments, ideologies and speeches are actually appreciated and memorable. Arno brought very little to the table; he had a relatively dull personality, weak purpose and barely any speech. Arno essentially spoke as much as the extras which is why you wont find fans quote him as much as the other protagonists, and this is pure enough evidence of his unlikable characterisatiom
This was so good. I seriously held my breath the entire video. This really captures the true essence of AC Unity. It’s the best game in my opinion. Anyways, thank you so much for this MUCH NEEDED tribute!
i actually enjoyed unity. i play on pc which has a terrible pc port but i still loved the game sm. the fact that he lost everything and then as he felt like he was geting it together again he lost it all mad i soo much better. he didnt have a happy ending like the other. ezio got married, connor had children, edward got a full mansion ect but arno just got depression. people complain that he has 0 personality and is a cardboard box but thats exactly how he would be. he literally has depression most of the game and that is obviously going to affect his personality. i just hope ubisoft make connor and arno meet up soon.
I find it quite relevant that Arno and Connor's epilogue's somehow are so opposite, even if Connor's people is destined to immediate pain and Arno's country is destined to glory and changes.
Wait a minute.Maybe Unity has mythical meanings too. The player is Paris, and thanks to Aphrodite we have a beautiful Helen, which simbolises the game itself. However she has a husband though and Paris has problems with him, because Paris took his wife. (what a douche) Menelaos simbolises the bugs that the player needs to live with.Better get use to it,because sooner or later you MUST. Trojan war=Playing AC Unity
AC Unity is a beautiful game. It has it all... The story is solid and built around a strong character in Arno. The story also pictures shortly the circumstances, which had led him to become an assassin, but concentrates on him as a grown warrior. I see parallels to Ezio, but in my opinion the character of Arno is way better. He isn't following the plans of others like Ezio but thinks about his actions on his own. The combat was much harder, but it also makes the game great, because as Ezio you could just walk around winning every duel without taking damage. In Unity you have to use stealth much more, which is the fundamental practice of assassins. The story is darker and heavier, which suits my taste much more, also following Arno's evolving into a grown man. He's making mistakes, which led to him being exiled from the order. His actions and thoughts make him more human to me than Ezio, who's almost a perfect man. No failures no mistakes... At the end the story turns sad, but his speech is flawless. It's one of the best AC games for me...
My story is one of many thousands and the world will not suffer if it ends soon

Unpopular opinion: I prefer Arno over Ezio. He is more relatable because he makes mistakes and screws up like a normal human while Ezio on the other hand, he _fixes_ mistakes of other people.
Incredible video. I too found Arno to be my second favourite assassin, this is actually my second favourite AC game. The only thing i disagreed with was the ending with Elise, i wanted her to wait for him and so that she could live. Ubisoft always kills the romantic lead or finds a way to end it. I just would of loved to have played as Elise in a DLC.
Arno kinda looked like young Ezio (AC2) minus the lip scar.
+Chasing Chickens IKR!
you really have me feeling emotions and chills on my arms....beautifully done....finished UNity yesterday and it had me swallowing some tears away at the end and reading/hearing Elises final letter....perfect how that is incoorporated in this montage...perfect video- and audio-work! Bravo!
This would be a badass movie trailer
Except it spoils a lot
Arno is one of the most tragic Assassin’s Creed protagonists. He lost his father, and his girlfriend, and had to kill his own mentor. He lost everyone he cared about. Still, as the Dead Kings DLC demonstrates, he remained a true assassin to the end.
Unity was something absolutely supperior when it comes to story. To this day I just love Arno's monologue about the creed. It's so sad, so desperate and chilling, but on the other hand its so full of hope and vision for brighter future tbh. Unity is the beast installment in the series and for sure one of the best stories I ever could experience.
I love this damn game and this video has brought me chills in reminding me how much I love it. Great job, thank you.
damn those graphics though..eyegasm o_O
No matter what you feel about this game you have to admit.....
The facial animations, cutscenes in this one felt like a fucking movie
Oh i miss him he was my favourite assassin
A good story
Loved every minute of the game
I loved this game...
Arno wasn't a bad character at all, the game wasn't bad in my opinion either, this was one of my favorite assassins.
Beautiful, but there's one thing I don't like. You should have used the real Arno suit in the entire video.
HAHA crying about such a little thing.
Bradley B I hate the fact that all character is different that's why.
I understand.
yeah.. he should have used arnos tailored
i think unity is the most brutal ac game followed from syndicate
AC unity hats off to the series
arno is awsome
I wish I could like a video more than once. What a fitting, brilliant tribute to one of the best Assassins in the whole damn franchise.
I agree
omg 3:12 if Elise had narrated this part in the manner of writing a letter this would have been much more emotional and sad in the game :(
Arno's speech was unexpectedly good :3
Man... i hope to see Arno once more. I really loved this game.
Arno you are a hero. You are better than Ezio you are underrated but that doesn't stop you from being a good character.
IEmperorChancellor Better than Ezio? Oh fuck no!
***** No the fact he had 3 games shows how much everyone loved him
***** Yes it does. Playing 3 games with a character instead of one broken game will get you to like him more
*****"Fanboys" Lol stfu no people who have actually played the original AC games.
You make Unitys story look so epic.
I am glad that Arno did find happiness and fulfilment later in life. His whole story was nothing but tragedy and suffering throughout the game.
I love your Tributes dude, they are awesome !!
I went through a bit of comments and everyone has a favorite from each game. one arno and Ezio, one shay and Edward or bayek .. etc. That's why the AC series is the best series made by now. One of all the games still hits you. Each has a character to his liking. That's diversity
Odyssey and Syndicate are terrible tho
@@jueezzzz yes I'm fully aware of this and you right ,but a lot of people like them and consider them good
Personally I loved this game, yes it had its flaws and probably more so than AC normally does, but I feel it was a step in the right direction.
IKR
Beautiful edit..Just beautiful
My favorite assassin. I hope they make a sequel to him during Napoleonic wars. I want to see more of him especially after dead Kings we saw he matured and is focused more on the brotherhood.
This game is an underated AC gem (at the moment. The release was sloppy). But I wouldn't want a sequel, even tho I love Arno. His story was a story about redemption and not one of growth like Ezio's. The ending is imo perfect (including the novel) and I wouldn't want to ruin it by adding unnesesery extra's.
Same goes for Ratonhnaké:ton.
I keep coming back over and over. I love this, its so well made. thank you, I loved unity putting aside from the flaws it came with :)
This is the best trailer ever,it gave me chills and goose bumps
It may even be my favorite in the series. honestly.
that's it. You like it because it's your first AC game. It's a good game but not a good AC
Zack Fair
My main gripe with Unity is that they omitted the white-room confessions when you assassinate a target.
Unity deserved a sequel so bad!!
Loved this game and story very much
But brotherhood should never be compromised.
Nothing is true , everything is permitted
I have play both Unity and Ezio trilogy....Arno is far better character for me and with much saddest story from ezio
This was pretty awesome. I loved it
Best tribute to Arno I have seen yet. Thank you for this.
Amazing man
This is actually better than the actual game story!
Wow you gave Arno more personality than the producers did
Well no, everything you see in this tribute IS the personality the developers intended and produced within the game.
Arno essentially spoke as much as the extras which is why you wont find fans quote him as much as the other protagonists, and this is pure enough evidence of his unlikable characterisatiom
i gotta say. that was really well done. i never felt this way when i was playing it.
defiantly prays worthy.
Arno is still a beast
ABSOLUMENT MAGNIFIQUE !!
Cela fait un petit temps que je l'attendais :-)
This was so good. I seriously held my breath the entire video. This really captures the true essence of AC Unity. It’s the best game in my opinion. Anyways, thank you so much for this MUCH NEEDED tribute!
You are so so right 💯
That was AWESOME!!!!
I love Arno he's so fabulous
i actually enjoyed unity. i play on pc which has a terrible pc port but i still loved the game sm. the fact that he lost everything and then as he felt like he was geting it together again he lost it all mad i soo much better. he didnt have a happy ending like the other. ezio got married, connor had children, edward got a full mansion ect but arno just got depression. people complain that he has 0 personality and is a cardboard box but thats exactly how he would be. he literally has depression most of the game and that is obviously going to affect his personality. i just hope ubisoft make connor and arno meet up soon.
This should be the trailer of the game
donno why people hate this game, this is a very good assassins creed game
The last gem of an assassin's creed game
I cried, I literally cried. Sorry, Elise
Wow this makes me like Arno as much as I like Bayek and Ezio
This is amazing team Arno!
Loved this game
A really good tribute for a character I do not care for.
wow, this looks legit
My fav... ARNO VICTOR DORIAN
Omg dude you make the best assassin creed tributes ever. Keep up the good work.
For your information people, Arno returned to the brotherhood.
This was pretty awesome
I find it quite relevant that Arno and Connor's epilogue's somehow are so opposite, even if Connor's people is destined to immediate pain and Arno's country is destined to glory and changes.
epic work! thanks a lot!
I’m still sad that Elise died and it’s been years
Amazing video
Best AC game of all time
Wait a minute.Maybe Unity has mythical meanings too.
This had me in tears from Elise's final words, such a fucked up situation they were in..
Arno Dorian is lit
Arno,le meilleur assassin
My First Name is Dorian, Dorian Smith! This is so cool ;3!
That sure was beautiful....
