With this work of music we see the the beginnings of the Romantic period that Beethoven started. The Classical structures still being used are: homophonic texture based on standard chord progression, repeated passages that are piano at first are forte on repeat and vice-versa. Romantic ideas are illustrated by the extreme dynamic changes and the use of accelerando towards the ending.
