Turn to Christ Jesus brother, and I'll tell ya HE is our only purpose and HE is our only HOPE, HE can fill that void that you are longing. HE created all things and HE died and suffered for you on the Cross to save you from sin and eternal death and HE wants you to have a relationship with HIM. Come to HIM and accept HIM and you will have true Joy, fulfillment, peace and hope that is otherworldy. For HE HIMSELF is "the way the truth and the Life and that no man comes to the Father except through HIM" John 14:6 GODBLESS you brother May GOD guide you to HIS Glory In Jesus Mightiest Powerful name Amen!❤
I listened to this while writing an essay and I've never written something so fast and enthusiastically before. I went way past the word limit lol. Love it!!
Heard this for the first time a few months ago, and I found myself LONGING to hear it again suddenly in the middle of the night. Thank you for sharing this here!!
At one moment, while cleaning the apartment I live in, I stood up, thinking that there is some electronic wire in trouble;or I was worried that something is one fire - I am not sure what I believed in but I relieved : it was only the music. Wonderful piece! I am in magic.
Not at all! Nor the chords, not the melody, nor the cadence, nor the harmony, nor the tone. I guess that people who are not used to this kind of music just try to find a reference, and among the most popular of minimalistic works are the Gymnopedies. I guess for you guys all minimalistic piano works sound like the Gymnopedies, but that is like saying that all orchestral works sound like Beethoven, when one doesn't know much about classical music.
@@screambeyond Lol what do you mean? The bass part at 0:45 uses the same G -> DMajor / D -> F#minor pattern as is used through most Gymnopdie no1. Both songs are in D Major as well, and both use a slow, reserved styles of solo piano. Were he alive today, I could definitely see Satie classifying this as “furniture music” in the same vein as his own works. There’s no need to try to show off your musically elitism here, especially when it is just wrong haha
By the time we're clearly ready to come back to the refrain at 16 minutes I'm literally just sitting there begging him not to do it because it's going to hit so hard
www.whosampled.com/Sufjan-Stevens/ So I went to this link, that supposedly shows everything that has been used. I DIDN'T SEE HER. I might have overlooked her name, you can double check. I have seen though, on Reddit where there is other speculation about the sample. www.reddit.com/r/Sufjan/comments/dx6vo6/fka_twigs_magdalene_feels_a_bit_like_sufjan/ So... idk, it's definitely vibey for sure. As soon as I read your comment I was like, huh....and had to inspector gaget that shhhhh. Hope this not helping, helps. 😄

Having an existential crisis and this randomly pops up. Brought much needed cathartic tears to my eyes. Beautiful
whenever you find yourself wondering in desperation what the point of existence is, turn to art and it will make it clear
@@Opentobeing12 Absolutely. Peace & love.

Very strong Eric Satie influence, from the sound of it. Beautiful, of course.

Love it, but it sounds a bit too much like Erik Satie's work. Sure heavily inspired by it.
