      Insurance on this car is pretty cheap relative to some other "sport" cars so no issues there. You do get insured as a Coupe though, despite it having 3 doors. As for mechanical issues, I didn't have any while I owned mine for 2 years but for more information in that regard i'd head to some Veloster forums and see what long-term owners say! Thanks a lot for the support, and hopefully I was able to help you out a bit :) Good luck with your purchase!

    • @OctaneStreet
      @OctaneStreet  3 года назад +6

      I don't think seeing a bunch below 100k miles is anything to worry about, or is anything that should deter you from being interested in ANY vehicle (unless it's a Jaguar, Maserati, etc. lol). It's kind of normal to be honest, these cars came out 6 years ago (for the 2014 version), if someone drives 15,000 miles/year it lines up pretty accurately for most to have around the 100,000 mile mark or lower. Hope that helps.

    • @OctaneStreet
      @OctaneStreet  Год назад

      Haha that's a funny coincidence indeed. Insurance on the Veloster is very reasonable, surprisingly though my 2006 Mustang GT which I drive and own currently is quite a bit less than the Veloster. Probably due to it being an older vehicle and having been insured for a longer time when I got the Mustang. Insurance is based on a ton of different factors though, so don't be surprised if you end up getting quoted the same for a Veloster as what you currently pay for the bimma.

    My Veloster bottom keep scraping yellow speed bumps even at slow speed. Any tips?

    • @OctaneStreet
      @OctaneStreet  Год назад +2

      Is this on stock suspension? If so then that's very odd. You can probably take the car in to see if something is wrong because you shouldn't be scraping that badly on a stock vehicle; though I guess it depends where you live. Otherwise do you often carry a lot of weight in your vehicle? Relieving the car of some weight can help it gain a bit more clearance and possibly prevent it from scraping. In the meantime though, you can practice doing the diagonal method of crossing speed bumps. It's something most people do when driving lowered vehicles, and is basically a technique where you try to go over the speed bump one wheel at a time for maximum clearance and the best chance of not scraping. Best of luck, and hopefully this was helpful in some way!

      I'm not too sure what you're asking bud, are you wondering if a Veloster is rated to drive speeds up to 130km/h? Because if so then the answer is yes. Just about any car can go and sustain speeds of 130km/h haha.

      @OctaneStreet  2 года назад

      @@ziaulhaqhamidi9505 Ohhh I get what you're asking now. Honestly your best bet is to look on Veloster Forums including Reddit to see what types of issues owners run into and when with these cars. I've sold mine over a year ago so I can't be of too much help but I imagine Velosters can hold up pretty well until maybe 220,000km or so? Just a guess. Good luck finding the answers you're looking for though, but $6k for 180k Veloster doesn't seem like too good of a deal if you ask me.

    I own a 2014 turbo and I love it. Bought it used but from AZ clean. But the asshole who owned it was and idiot. Never changed the oil. I changed it when I bought the car but the damage was done drove it for 2 years and all was good. But one night I came home from work and it just lost power. Seemed like a normal break down. Even started the motor several times. But even shop said they started 2 times after that. I got the call. Need a new motor. I was like WTF. But he show me how the turbo fell apart and went through the motor. Cost me $6900 bucks. But I LOVE THE CAR wish I could trade it in for a new . one

      For sure, the only thing to be cautious of as a new driver is how low the car is from the factory and the A pillars are a bit thick and sloped so it covers a bit more than regular vehicles when it comes to vision at stop signs and lights, etc. Both are not big deals at all though trust me, so if you're thinking about getting a Veloster definitely go for it 👌

      It can handle them, but it'll feel horrible going through them. Potholes and bad road conditions are horrible for ANY car though, can damage your suspension along with other components.
