As a member of the black community, we do not claim Ethan. The fact that he sees songs that deal with depression as a bad thing is disrespectful and straight up wrong. We’re never gonna be happy all the time. So when X felt depressed, he was gonna make a song about depression. It took me a long time to appreciate his music and I’m glad it do.
