    I am obsessed with the book content! I love watching booktube monthly tbrs, monthly wrap-ups, book hauls/unhauls, and reading vlogs. It's can sometimes be hard to find new booktubers I want to watch every video from, but it's awesome seeing someone (whose content I already love and watch every video from) discovering/rediscovering their love for reading and sharing it on their channel!

I was going to move straight onto it but when I read the synopsis for five survive, I had to read it straight away. Another good ones I’d recommend is truly devious by Maureen Johnson. She’s just realised another one to add to the series

    Aaahhh books! I also decided to really pick up reading this year, I've spent years mostly buying books because I really like just having a lot of books lmao. I'm a hardback person, but alas, they are so much more expensive that I usually end up buying paperbacks. But I'll occasionally grab a hardback too, they feel better to read somehow. And look nicer on the shelf.

    I prefer paperbacks for easy reads, but hard backs for my collections. Court Series is easy and fun to read... the entire series is like mills and boons with some fantasy and that is what you need in the more dreary days.

  • @rosekyo
    @rosekyo Год назад

    If you end up liking fantasy I recommend Tamora Pierce (her series are medieval fantasy - Protector of the Small may be my favorite of the series within the Tortall universe). Naomi Novik has some good fantasy novels and a great series (Temeraire) about dragons set in a historical Napoleonic Wars-era. Charlaine Harris has some good mystery series (modern times, some supernatural-based). Elizabeth Peters is also a good mystery writer (she has a great series based in late 1800s/early 1900s Egyptology setting).

    ACOTAR is the least spicy of the series. The second book is probably my favorite but it gets extremely spicy as you go throughout the series. Like Ghost pepper or even Carolina Reaper spicy in some of the books! They are good though 🙂. When it comes to Daisy Jones and the Six I highly recommend the audio book! I have now read the whole A Court of Thorns and Roses series in the last 2 months, 4 of them within 2 weeks because I simply couldn’t stop! They are incredible! The first one isn’t so bad on the smut ( fairy porn) side it only has two scenes in it, they do get spicer as it goes on tho so keep that in mind. The third is very smut heavy but I’ve now marked it as the best book I’ve ever read (for the story! Plus a little for the smut) I’m loving the story and very excited for her to release the next book.
    In the last week I’ve also read The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo. Loved it! So amazing! Went on to read One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid and wow! So amazing too! It’s such a great story but also heartbreaking, starts off going back so you get both love stories from the beginning and then all the rest.
    A similar book I enjoyed to the Taylor Jenkins Reid ones recently was Songs in Ursa Major by Emma Broadie, again follows the music industry from the 70s and a woman lead in a bad who ends up on a stage in front of adoring fans of a huge star who’s been a no show, she’s an incredible musician and wows the unruly crowd to shoot herself into stardom. It’s not all it seems and the reality of music stars from the 70s, sexism in the industry and everything else comes poring out, mixed up in a love story full of plot twists. It was fab! Has a very similar feel to the seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo one.

    The Marlow Murder Club (MWC) series sounds A LOT like the The Thursday Murder Club (TMC) series. If you like MWC, I would recommend checking out the TMC series!

    You will soon discover, that collecting books and reading those books, are two different hobbies. Fairy Tale is really good, and I'm not even a Stephen King fan. He Who Must Not Be Named; aka: Harry, formally known as Prince; will not get a dime of my money or a moment of my time. A Court Of Thorns And Roses; ACOTAR; is really poorly written, but it's inevitable that everyone will read it, because of the hype and the intensity of its' fans. You will get extremely tired of growling, snarling males and silver lined eyes. I will never read Colleen Hoover because I was in a FB book club group and that was all that the members posted. I left that group for Book Lovers Who Dislike CoHo. My recommendation is for the First Law Trilogy by Joe Abercrombie, starting with The Blade Itself, which was the best book I read in 2022. Babel by R.F Kuang was also outstanding.

    I really love books but i cant keep my focus on it cause i have aphantasia and i cant picture what im reading so i quickly get distracted and i dont comprehend what im reading most of the time and it sucks. Ive been reading 1 book for more than a year now cause i just cant finish it. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is on my list and i really hope i can get to it!

    If you get a new bookshelf, please do a video of setting it up and putting all your books on. I love those kinds of organising videos.

    Jenette McCurdy 5 Stars, Tom Felton 3 Stars(disappointing really), It Ends with Us/It starts with us 5 Stars (idk why people hate on these books so much..) But is anyone else having issues finding Cherry on Goodreads? The link isn't working for me either...?

    🤣 Jan sales such a good excuse for buying more! I finally finished reading The Secret on Saturday after starting it about 3 years ago, haha. Nxt on my to read list is Toms book and a book I've had for years that i never got round to called Practical Mindfulness by Consultant Ken A. Verni, both currently sat on my bedside table. When I was a young avid reader, I liked paperbacks, but thesedays I prefer hardback. I absolutely LOVE your Weasley jumper. I loved it on the original video & still like 😍, tis lush! Lmao, "i have a spending problem," me too! i can totally relate 🤣 xx

    OH MY GOD even if you don't think you like A Court of Thorns and Roses you have to give the second book A Court of Mist and Fury a try because everything changes and that is EVERYONE'S favorite. My friend didn't like the first book but became obsessed with the second.
