Beyond amazing how the Brazilians and Argentinians immensely love their football....its like a religion to them. Such a proud moment for them, I am delighted for Messi and the people of Argentina. The right team and player definitely won. Tomorrow when Messi shows up with the trophy in Buenos Aries it will be pandemonium, it will be a sight to watch and a historical moment.

The memory would never have been so memorable if Messi had won the World Cup like 10 years ago. All the stumbling Messi has had all these years and what he went through was only preparing Argentinians and the World to see just what a Messiah we had in Messi as a human, player, son, father, husband and footballer. It makes so much sense to have waited for all these years for Messi to not just win -- but win with such a dramatic and memorable World Cup final from no greater opposition than France and Mbappe. For everything this 2022 World Cup, Messi, Lionel Scaloni, and Boys gave us, I'm relished that Messi didn't win the World Cup earlier. The respect would have never been the same like it has been in winning this World Cup. For all the reasons this world cup has provided, it's only fitting for a Messi to be placed on the pedestal only Messi would have been capable of. What a win for Messi and everyone who loved football. If there's another moment to remember in football history after Maradona's goal of the century, Messi's final Vs France is the ONE! There's no match I'd want to watch as much as Messi's World Cup final in 2022. That's it.

Messi always had good players around him compared to what Maradona had. Messi also had referee protection, Maradona did not. Messi played on lovely football pitches. Maradona did not. I don't even think Messi is in the top 2 best players of all time when you have Pele in the mix. Messi is amazing, unbelievable, the player of the modern era perhaps. A truly great player!
