Every violinist has played this piece, but this is the most moving performance that I have ever heard. There is emotion in every note. Beautifully played.

My dad played this on his violin, my mom played the piano. both long since expired and yet I have just experienced through your playing, their presence and feelings of our family home as it once was. Just wow.....I used to play this piece a lot.....Actually I've been playing the violin since I was 5 but I stopped when I went to high school. Ur beautiful performance was my motivation to pick up the violin again! Thank you!!!

An absolutely wonderful piece of Music played brilliantly by one so very young. Heard it for the first time in the film 'Ladies of Lavender' and was so fascinated by it straight away. The world appears at peace when listening to it!

I just wanted to let you know that 7 years ago I first watched this video and I fell in love with your interpretation and passion when playing the violin. I showed it to my teacher and almost fainted when he told me I had to learn the song for the next competition because I was a beginning violinist barely learning to play vibrato! I must have seen this video 100x for inspiration! I ended up learning it after many brutal hours of practicing and still can’t play it as good as you but I wanted to thank you because you helped me actually feel the violin. You are very talented! ❤️

Absolutely crackin' performance. After hearing a more orchestral version, I came back to this with a fresh appreciation of the simple violin and piano combination. The orchestral version, although very competent, was rather treacly.
I first heard this song on your channel and I was super inspired. It was the 1st song I was able to connect to and feel when I played. I practiced and made it to states with this song. Thank you so much for posting!
