When you watch most videos that are almost 30 minutes long you Are just skipping through the boring parts. But here??? Everything is such interesting. Thumbs up man for all the work you put to actually build just one bait.
Your videos are instructive and relaxing and funny...sometimes I watch just before bed; cause you are down to earth and you remind me that there are good people in the world. Be yourself and make vids for the next 20 years. Happy, 2031!!
This is amazing You are truly talented that duckling looked so realistic. And you are such a chill person with a good personality. Keep up these great videos👍
Honestly I have been watching your videos long before I decided to subscribe to your channel but I am impressed by how I see your improvement and your air brush skills are getting much better keep up the good work boss man I look forward to seeing your videos pop up in my notifications my one year old loves watching your videos with me too
Yes I'm now glad in a subscriber love you music choice you listen to stuff no ones probably heard of steel driver Tyler Childers and very humble to thank everyone keep it buddy keep it up
Just a little suggestion about a new cheap tool you may find really, really, useful for your carving out work. There are 2 special little knives that craftsmen who carve wooden spoons use. One is a very short, sharp, pointed knife, the other is a special curved over, rounded, blade used to scoop out small slithers of wood, in a dome/rounded shape. They are available of course on Amazon - just type in spoon carving knives and several sets will come up, ranging in price from about $15 up to about $40, depending who you buy them from, and the quality you desire. I hope this helps as they would definitely help with some of the more awkward areas you carve. Another very interesting video with lots of woodworking tips and tricks, which is my main reason for watching your channel, apart from them being very entertaining. The dog did an awesome job of supervising the entire project as well.
The dog looks so real , I mean the way it moves, so natural , amazing. Now, needlefish for stripers? When you drill a bait for tuning, drill the fill hole and at the bottom leave a groove that will also lock the molten lead in its own recess, I guess. No needlefish? We don’t know what we’re missing. Or I haven’t seen your needlefish video. Nice work. PS, thanks for thanking 👍🏻
I feel like it might be easier to make some of the details with a rough file and good set of fine files file rather than with hobby razor or chisel especially on the head and beak or before you sand. If you don't have any you can always spray glue some sand paper to some popsicle sticks or even use dollar store/bulk emery boards. Also a safer alternative to holding a small piece while you drill it in the drill press is to use some thing flexible like a bag of beans or rice so you can position it at the angle you want it and it is supported better. I"m also hoping to see a dragonfly lure if you havn't made one already, for insects you can loop the strings at slightly different lengths to get a more defined wing shape. keep up the good work, love the craftsmanship!
Nice job as usual, this should work for pike but reel it slower and let it sit for a few seconds than reel again slowly. Thanks for sharing my friend. Your Florida friend.
There was an old school duckling lure that used two Colorado blades for feet, Underspin style. Paint the blades in the foot color, and maybe try your hand at making a matching duckling call. (if there is such a thing) It would be cool to display as a conversation piece in any Mancave.
IMHO you produce works of art. They are artifacts of your site history. They inspire people to create instead of just consume. And they push the boundaries of what's possible in lure making. So you're basically "raging against the machine" in a positive way. Excellent work my friend!
You can sharpen drill bits on a belt or disk sander when they break for a quick temporary fix. Excellent video and work as per usual mate. Keep at it!!!
I remember when I was a back in the 80s a few of the few muskie fisherman would buy baby ducks at the flea market. They'd attach treble hooks with rubber bands and let the ducks swim around muskie area's in the local river. Imagine doing that now
Just watched several of your videos where you add baking soda to CA glue and epoxy. I've been wood working for years but have never heard of or seen anyone add baking soda to CA glue or epoxy. What purpose does the baking soda serve? P.S. It would make me a lot less nervous watching this if you were using actual wood carving tools. I enjoy your channel, keep up the good work.
Airgun Evolution No it doesn’t . Most predatory fishes when hunting other fishes usually waits on the bottom looking up so they mostly see a white belly or a shadow passing by before striking depending how clear the water is.
Instead of a forstner bit, you could use a Brad-point drill bit for smaller holes for the eyes. You can go as small as 1/8 or 3mm with similar cutting effect
This was a fun video. It kinda looked like you might have been retrieving a little too fast on that ducky. Watch some videos to see how ducklings swim and at what speed, then duplicate it for a nice huge bass somewhere. That is a beautiful lure! Very nice work!
Great lures & entertaining videos. Have you ever considered a wood burner for your detail lines? They make a wide variety of very clean lines and look great when painted.
Make a tiny Anglerfish lure with an actual LED
Lets get him to a bunch of like or something maybe he will notice, because that is a really good idea and is love to see it

I enjoy going back and watching your old videos
Really enjoying your videos. Loving the Tyler Childers in the background
slow down your retrieve! Ducklings do not swim at 20 mph.
You'd be surprised how fast they can go!
@@jerrywtt but not all the time :)
yeah they do i have seen them WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH
You should of seen Donald duck back when he was young. He topped out at 40
They do when some big fish is chasing after them ヅ LOL
Oldie but a goodie. The difference from your personality from then to now and your air brush skills have improved a lot.

Awesome man. Your baits are so detailed and the colors are great keep up the amazing work.
Wow, I can’t believe I just watched a half hour video of someone making a lure. I just couldn’t stop watching
This is amazing You are truly talented that duckling looked so realistic. And you are such a chill person with a good personality. Keep up these great videos👍

Awesome lure. I really enjoy watching these videos because I also like to work with tools and make lures for fun.
Our Australian cod would love this bait. Nice job
I think you would make an excellent waterfowl and bird carver, you can tell by all the great work u do with wood baits!
It’s awesome how detailed you made the lure and the action of the buzz blade in the back, keep making those lures man
Your craftsmanship is incredible! Enjoying the videos!
1st vid I saw of yours, sub’d and looking forward to seeing more of your content and picking up some lures
Love watching your work....very informative and great motivation...I'm a pike and musky bait maker. With a mere 35 years woodworking.lol.

The dog?!
You do some great work. Would love to fish with your baits. Keep up the good work.
Add some feet, Pikes attack Duckling by the feet.
Pike stays the same as a plural, likes is not a word
I would have put the spinner just above the treble hook, to spin and act like little bitty feet
Ari Leon Baumberger , Paint the treble hooks duck foot colors. Big trebles, maybe on swivels to help them dangle just right.
Yip

I was soo pullung for you to catch something! Awesome craftsmanship
I'd try that around dusk or dawn, best action i've had on loud top waters is usually first or last thing in the day.
Waouh very realistic! Awesome!
The Fisherman Builder hi
Hi!
Tried watching last night and fell asleep so I’m back today to watch it again😁
Lane vaden and sleep again
I really liked the color choices you put on it
I hope I have great gobs of money someday to buy a heap o' Marling Baits from you. You are da besst.
Amazing!!! I want a lure like that to be honest.
Nice job as usual, this should work for pike but reel it slower and let it sit for a few seconds than reel again slowly. Thanks for sharing my friend. Your Florida friend.
The best that can be: combine work with passion.
You are so precise with that knife! My shaky hands would have cut the lure in half!
That looks amazing I love it
Need to try it in the spring after they hatch.
You should do more of using and catching fish with your own baits 👍🏻
Your an artist man I wish I could have custom lures made for me.
Not enough😂

Molson fan! Cool more power to you and the best of luck with your business.
That duck looks amazing!! You got what it takes to make baits??? Patience!!
Run the forsner bit backwards for a few turns and it prevents tearout.
Great vid... Always enjoy watching!

AMAZING LURE MY FRIEND

Would be interesting to see you redo this one with your new techniques etc.!
Just discovered your channel my dude so happy i did. Subscribed
Your going quackers nice work
Wonderful i watch you in france and i love your video !!
Nice bait and Molson t-shirt! Cheers from Montréal.
Put another hook on the buzz blade almost like a whopper plopped so you can get any that swipe at it

I believe the baking soda helps it harden better or something similar. Pretty sure it has to do with strength and/or durability.
I made a duckling with a buzzbait just like yours ofc the quality wasn’t as good but it was the same idea! What a coincidence!
That would be amazing for top water pike fishing in the summer over here in the uk
First time watching your channel, I thought it was just gonna be you putting stuff on a rubber duckie but this is way better
I am new on this this channel but subscribed right after watching the fitst video. Keep it up!
Dude you should make a series where you just go all out for big game fish with your lures. Such as walleyes, salmon, pike etc.
Use side by side trebels with orange and black bucktails cut off square to mimic feet, best hook up potential at a lake with stocked muskie!
Awesome looking lure
Tyler Childers! You get cooler every video, love the content. Keep up the good work!
do all the little details matter to a fish or is the lure more of a show piece?
The small details don’t matter to the fish at all. They’re just pretty to humans lol
Airgun Evolution I always wonder that
Airgun Evolution No it doesn’t . Most predatory fishes when hunting other fishes usually waits on the bottom looking up so they mostly see a white belly or a shadow passing by before striking depending how clear the water is.
Yup. A lot of modern lures are meant to catch fishermen more than fish
@@justacatwalkingonakeyboard4454 just like googan baits
Beautiful work!
Binging your channel right now. Good stuff dude. Subbed
That interesting that ducks have bills...so do I... great video!
That's a great lure! It's just hard to catch anything with a large top water lure..
ireland.video getting better and better👏😄👍👍
You should try to make some sort of popper in your own design.
i love how you heart every comment
Only the 4 one I watched already subscribed and learning
Nice lure! Think it would be good with a end hook as well after the spinner.
How do you do these??!?!?!! You are so talented!!!!
Instead of a forstner bit, you could use a Brad-point drill bit for smaller holes for the eyes. You can go as small as 1/8 or 3mm with similar cutting effect
Absolutely love the Tyler Childers in the background
And you could actually add a trouble hook on the back of that if you put some heat shrink on the split ring to hold it out straight
Great work. Thanks for the video 😊🏴
I use Brad point bits when I need to go smaller than 1/4 inch.
You have inspired me to carve my own lures
I love the background music
I would use that at our urban lakes, there's ducklings everywhere.
It looks so awesome! It should catch you a big one!
Digging the tyler childers in the background
Way to big but you can try in Florida,Big Old Mofu gators out there!
The Duckling would have made a cool floater too!

Great lures & entertaining videos. Have you ever considered a wood burner for your detail lines? They make a wide variety of very clean lines and look great when painted.
Nice job on the lure. You should try a minnow or cricket or somethin small
