how i can play on winter map like you?
I just wish more people used radios. I love the immersion they give you.
many servers make good use of the radios by giving you missions if you keep a radio turned on and tuned to a specific station.
Me and my squad on a console server have a radio only rule (once we get them, ATLEAST 2)
I'm in console. They ruined it once they made it so you can't hear people in game chat if you're in party chat.
I usually play solo. If I find 2 radios, I'll leave one with a battery on a specific station and leave the ine I'm wearing turned on tuned to thT station. . I have yet to have someone pick up lol
Discord should not be allowed
I think a lot of people expect kind of "low quality" communication from the radios if that makes sense - but in reality, they are crystal clear other than the tiny bit of humming radio static.
That was such a sad tale... imagine the next person to come in and find them and see how close to surviving they were

DayZ is so relentless.

I absolutely loved this! This is the best idea you guys have had so far. I think a series of videos like this really have the potential to showcase all the best parts of DayZ.
P.S - Don't be afraid of making these types of videos longer! "True survival" game play is a slow process. Making the meeting point deeper into the map, Stary or Gorka, would allow both of you more opportunity to find what you need to survive. Show us how it's done lads ( ;
Agree totally. Longer time apart and longer videos. On an easier server there could be certain goals to achieve before going to the rz location. But I love the concept of this video!

I play on this server and it's amazing, like hard challenge, winter it's not easy to stay alive, you need alot of things to consider in order to move city to city. Fishing its you best friend (not only for the food), and getting meds first its essencial.
Love that side by side view. Really reminded me of the days when we could sit on the couch and play with a friend.
I like how John tells George to get back cuz he felt crowded trying to light the fire. Pressure mounting almost out of matches 😂

I see you are made of steel because this was a hardcore server. As I watched a video I saw that John goes town to town for loot this is good choise for this situation. From George's perspective, he rushed to the final destination. I know that you both are experts in this game, so next time, if you do this challenge again, please don't speed to your meeting point. It's better to loot more, and your friend will be happy seeing you with useful loot. For end please make this challenge again. I like watching you guys struggling of survival in DayZ world. Stay strong 💪
Also maybe don’t sprint around to conserve nutrition and hydration

I think dayz should somehow block use of discord etc whilst playing dayz. And then server owners could choose to have this enabled or disabled for their servers. Its great fun having to find a radio te contact youre friends to figure out where theyre at
I think there is a server called communityZ, which is the successor to the old Village Server. The use of discord is banned so encourages in game coms
@@womad9878 I know some communities tried to implement it, but it's hard for me to imagine. I mean, it's easy to ban the use of discord and 3rd party communication software but how are the admins able to monitor if players comply or not?

That will absolutely ruin the experience for new players that want to play with their friends, like me. If they implement that we are not buying the game.

ive played a few of these winter cherno survival servers and they're so buggy. like not being able to drink from the wells, not able to thaw drinks out, nothing at all. even items that were NOT frozen couldn't be consumed. on every single server i tried.
I love this type of video, it's crazy how synchronised you guys are without even knowing lol.

You guys got me playing that server. Wasn’t ready for the winter when it came! I die to people a lot less though. Also tried the hero one, love it, a crap pvp such as me actually has a chance of surviving a bit longer!
i tried the hero one, and it was a lot of fun, but my latency was too high and i kept getting booted. they're DE based, so going across the atlantic to the middle of the USA, the connection just wasn't hot enough.

7:55 Nope. You gotta play 'backwards' in those conditions 1. Heat buff before food 2. Food before journeys. 3. Find/craft knives and carry triple you'd normally carry as you burn through blades making fires, rags, bark and skinning&gutting meats/fish.
Consider running with a rag torch, petrol dipped for longevity. Your enemy is first- the weather, then Zs, then illness, then other players. Going loose on these priorities holds poor chances of survival.
This is literally me and my brother every game hahaha! Usually met up finally after 2 hours and instantly take a bullet vs dying of hunger...everytime

I kinda did something like this on a roleplay server with a friend; we both played brothers who were trying to find each other among the different factions and groups. Plan was to for one of us to start in the north and the other in the south, then we would just run around and ask people if they had met someone with our mutually agreed-upon surname. We would have a chance of hearing about the other's escapades through word of mouth, maybe hear if the other had gotten a bad/good reputation, etc. Was kinda fun ^^ It was partly documented in my own series "Blood Ties", but most of the actual search only occurs in the first two episodes (out of 34). Even so, the concept is fun to do. :)

Yeah - this feels like a bit of a flaw in the game play mechanics that came from switching the server to Winter. A good survival game limits the players ability to survive, but doesn't make it outright impossible. With there being no "guarantee" of finding matches ect, being able to craft and use a hand drill kit from the first minute is kind of essential.
Investe more in survival skills. But don't forget medical skills. Also, take more time at spawn location if possible. Be really ready to move inland. Sneak more so you don't alarm those zeds.

looks like you boys need some more Namalsk time to get used to winter survival. The make a bow drill kit is super high up on the survival tree on that server as well.
I friggin LOVE this server!!! It's sooo hard. I've play no less than 15 lives and I've only made it inland once. lol It's whole new spin on Dayz. Plz do more.

I'm only 5 minutes in but I must share that my ideal fantasy starter loot in winter would be black firefighter outfit, black drybag, press vest, tanker helmet, silent scorpion, sk 59/66, barbwire bat.
