sweet! I just found your channel so I didn't ask for it but I'm glad it's here cause I really like it, so I'll use it. thanks for sharing! also... my girlfriend & I are reading Dune together right now and I just read her the 5th or 6th chapter (not sure since they're not numbered) after they leave Caladan and arrive at Arrakeen of Arrakis! when Jessica gets the knife from Shadout Mapes, while listening to this in the background. so it was perfect! 🤩😉thanks!
Well Wishes for all of us who are... Human, the true humans. we are connected on many levels simultaneously, the greatest of these being the collective unconscious & the internet. not sure what the "amen"-ing is about... isn't that a Christian religious word of agreement or praise? that's the only context I've heard it in. and I'm not a fan of that religion (or any of the Western Religions especially) at all, as I see them for what they are: a tool of control, corruption, exploitation, and oppression. the morality & "philosophy" (if u can call it that) of slavery, or "How to be a happy & good slave." and also, from what I've read & seen so far it seems like Dune is a really satirical story meant to criticize religion & war, and to get people to think about them more in a different way. so I'm sure it's possible but I can't see how anyone with the intelligence enough to read the books and see the deeper meanings & message could be a fan and still be a follower of those religions.
The world of Arrakis was such a beautiful creation on Frank Heberts part as well as the artists who brought it to life, this soundtrack fits it perfectly 🙌🔥
But that's the thing - first films actually took practicality into consideration. They went with "OK, we have a city on a desert planet... how would people actually living there design it?". And while an image like this looks (very) cool, it is extremely impractical for the setting it is in. First, the heat - those thin tall spires are terrible in that situation. Not to mention that building between the dunes like that is a disaster - those are constantly shifting. If a city is in the desert, it needs to be one continuous mass, preferably with some more permanent natural landmarks for help. Then, the sand. Extremely erosive, you'd want to minimize its contact with anything. So, when they designed Arrakeen for the films, they went with down to the ground buildings (helps with heat sink and dust storms), thick stone walls and roofs (again, due to the heat protection and moisture capture - both passive so you don't spend extra energy), and small windows (again, due to the heat and sand). Basically, man-made caves, as they are known to have lower and constant temperature throughout the seasons, regardless of outside conditions. Which is also what the natives of Dune are living in - because they too aren't stupid. Function over form, always. Especially in extreme environments like on Dune that have limited resources as well. This is not to berate your imagination or anything, don't take it as a criticism please - I am just explaining why the designs in the films are done that way. It really does not make sense to do them otherwise. And if you really want to drive in the good worldbuilding for your universe, then you must focus on those details - otherwise the impact is lessened. That is also why, in another famous franchise with a desert planet Tatooine, buildings are similar - low profile, wider area, large segments underground or otherwise cave-like.
@@Wustenfuchs109 While I like the designs in Dune Part 1, that whole movie is so beige. I'm glad that in part two Villeneuve experimented with colour more. That opening scene with the eclipse where everything is bathed in orange is exactly how I imagine Arrakis most of the time.
I love the art style. Most days I wish these alternate universes existed and I could go there and escape the day to day madness that exists here. I am relegated to imagining fantastical worlds like this one, where honor exists, must be fought for and prevails.
For those who never heard, Lisan means language in Turkish and Arabic languages. It came to Turkish language through Arabic. Al-Gaib means "The Unseen, Shadowed" in Arabic and Turkish as well. So it totally means, the Language of the Unseen- Unheard
Arrakis, Dune. A planet so dry that a single tear is valuable. And it is here, and only here, where the most precious can be found. God created Arrakis for testing the faithful.

Reading last volume of Frank Herbert Chapter House: Dune, taking a glance from time to time on that art work on 65' screen tv, hearing this music in the background is like a journey, state change, mind reset ❤🎉
Great musical composition and the art work is really beautiful. Getting goosebumps every time I listen to this piece. Of course the artwork sets the mood of mystery, the unknown and being somehow on the edge. PS I hope the upcoming series "Dune Prophecy" inspires you as well maybe something will come out of it. Thank you!
Thanks mate! More and more people are getting into Children of Dune and also discovering the channel, which allows me to delve deeper into the story, luckily. More to come!
I find it fascinating, that if humans ever get off earth, we would settle many worlds over tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of years into the future.
Your Channel is divine! 🪐✨Such powerful and deepening music. I really enjoy it, thank you! 🙏🏼 A Star Wars Kylo Ren Session would be amazing with deep vibes. Dark echoes with Kylo Ren or the Dark Force awakens, or Kylo Rens Dark Symphony. Meditate with Kylo - simply and also cool. 😊 It would be very interesting how the light and dark aspects would come together in a masterpiece of music.

It never fails to astound me how well you capture the essence of Dune better than any other contemporary depiction. Lisan al-gaib!
This is how I pictured Arrakeen when reading Messiah. Hopefully movie 3 nails the scale.

There is a book series for Dune?
@@GenieFarms sure is! six canon books made by the original author with a lot of spinoffs
