She is classicly beautiful. She always wears minimal make up. Not overly high fashion attire. Very humble. No crazy antics. Not a tabloid star. Actually talented. She's amazing.

I know what you mean, but one should differentiate between wearing minimal make up and wearing natural looking make up. Cause she is definitely wearing a full face of make up, I can see foundation, blush, highlighter, lipstick, brows, eyeshadow and false lashes. In that sense, her taste is just more natural but she isn't wearing any LESS make up than all the other singers/actresses we see. Which is totally fine. But the only two people in the industry I've seen with truly minimal to no make up are Billy Eilish and Alisha Keys.

I'm Mexican and I know her since her first spanish albums, and I just wanna say that the most important of being a Shakira's fan, is that you learn how to persuit your dreams, to learn about the life, to be a better person helping people, to be no only a material girl or bo but to be a human being. Shakira is the most incredibly talented and intelligent artist of the world...

@@jac1161 Her mother is Colombian and her father born Lebanese, but *HE, along with his parents, moved to Colombia when HE WAS ONLY 5 YEAR OLD. He is more Colombian than many Colombians,* having another 8 Colombian children, and still living there. He is practically 100% Colombian. Shakira’s talents were made in Colombia. She does belly dancing because she saw a dancer in a restaurant when she was 4 year old, and liked, practiced and mastered, lately including this talent into her routines, but it does not mean she owes anything of her talents to the Lebanon, as she owes nothing to Africa, or the countries whose language she sing in.
You are now making Colombia, USA, and all the countries in the world incomplete citizens from their country. She is Colombian 100%. There is no one country with 100% full unique DNA from that country. We are all a mixture. According to scientific findings, it is said that we all come from African descent. But, if it makes you happy to feel you have something in common, then feel that way, but she is 100% born and raised Colombian. We all Colombians have blood from different races, and we are still 100% Colombian.

I am from the DR and I can tell you, Shakira is as cool and humble as they come. When she visits the DR she goes everywhere and I don't mean the fancy clubs. I mean the small rock bars. And she is down to earth, jeans, tshirt and always a huge smile. Soaking in the music always.

She speaks in English what her thoughts are in Spanish. Basically a true translation. Spanish is a romantic language for a reason. Even tiny little kids are walking around with a similar vocabulary. What makes shakira exceptional is the choice to make the effort to stay true to her vocabulary in translation. When learning English you find that you can use the same word over and over again for different situations. While in Spanish there are specific words for every emotion. For example saying sad or mad can describe almost all negative emotions. But you can take time define each. Excruciating pain does not apply for a simple pain or hurt just an example.

A lot of people don´t challenge themself enough to learn a language properly. I´ve never been in US, I studied 3 years in holland where most people speak english, I only had 3 weeks of english lessons, and I learned the rest through speaking, reading books (like all Harry Potters) and watching american or english movies...I probably still make a lot of mistakes but as I said, I never set foot in US so I´m quite sure anyone who shows interest and walk the talk can do it...I´m french bye the way
