I got a road bike and rode gravel and got 6 flat tires. Currently still riding it with a flat tire right now until I can get a new tire, tube and rim( from riding on it flat and banging it up)
@@crankpunkrides5434 road bikes just aren't made for riding on gravel or any rough terrain, they're basically for road riding. I didn't get any flats riding on the road but when I went to visit my friend who lives in the country on a gravel road that's when I got the 6 flat tires. The first 5 I patched the tube,on the 6th one I had no more patches or a spare tube with me. Sometimes you encounter bad luck when riding a bicycle but you got to look on the bright side though because your luck will be you will get it fixed as soon as you get home or maybe even sometimes someone else who is riding their bike may help you out. I know it's a pain in the rear end getting a flat tire (s)but it's life of a cyclist.
@@crankpunkrides5434 the bike I got came with hybrid tires and rims but I decided to put the road bike tires and rims on it. Hybrid tires and rims are actually wider than road bike tires and rims but don't have gravel type tread on them. I saw a set of gravel tires at our local bicycle shop but they're $70 for the set. I might buy them and try them. I mainly ride on main roads and very seldom on gravel but gravel tires you can ride gravel and road surfaces. I do have a mountain bike that I hardly ever ride that would be great for riding on gravel roads but I love my road bike better because it's lighter and faster.
Gotta support LBS since they are ready for us when rides go sideways like this 👍🏻

@@michaelodell3675 They're fine if you can get the wide tires onto the frame and dedicated gravel tires too.
