“Gly”: Good morning everyone! Mr M and I are out filming another great location so I won’t be able to get to your questions and comments until later this week. I’m happy your enjoying this episode and please don’t forget to subscribe to Mr M’s channel Abandoned & Forgotten Footage. Here’s the link: ruclips.net/channel/UCdg1JMTJWcmQI17SOylAxIg Take care everyone and have a wonderful weekend!
I hope Mr. M has recuperated and is back in action. Next season I want to be a stunt double for you guys. Let’s not forget Randy, the team Forensic Archaeologist, sounds like a permanent position on Gly’s team👍🏼 There is no shame in being safe and walking away from a deadly mine, thank you all.
We have seen similar places with unstable debris. Lots of times you can dislodge the jam and send it down the shaft. Sometimes you have to turn around. I sure don't miss the extreme dust in some on those southern mines. We spent all winter exploring just on mine and we still aren't finished!
“Gly”: I’ve seen many collapsed collars and man ways but that one was quite unique. If one was motivated enough you could clear the debris by roping down the vertical shaft and dislodging the boulder from above but the dust it would create would be absolutely hideous. Yeah, I breathed in more than my fair share of dust that day.
Yeah I saw that one that Sharon noped out of that nearly came down on y’all... supremely scary stuff man. that collar was complete garbage and you made a good call pulling the plug on that one. Maybe at some point I could go out there with y’all and a couple other explorers and with the right tools and a couple extra hands, I bet you we could clear up that plug and make it safe to rope into...
Man that mine just had an eerie feel of death about it 😳 I'm glad you couldn't get any further, something about that one wasn't right. Speedy recovery to Mr M
Glad to hear Mr. M is doing ok, those were some interesting (read schetchy) mines. Glad to see the three of you back together. Looking forward to next weekend.
I'm glad you decided not to go exploring further your safety is more important than the mine. I'm glad Mr. M is ok :) Looking forward to your next episode :)
Hi guys, we really want to send one of our nurses from our fantastic NHS to check up on Mr.M. but to much excitement might not be a good idea. So rest up ,a mug of hot chocolate be ready for next weekend. How wise to stay out of that death trap, Its enough just to see how sketchy it is. I would hate to see a bad ending. Thanks for another quality video guys, have a great week. Cheers, from wet England
You two are an amazing team. I would have never thought to be binging your videos but they are too amazing to see. Greeting from Germany you two and stay safe!! :)
I think it's great you started showing more of the "failures". No matter how many times you tell people this is dangerous, if all they see are successful mine adventures it would be easy to start forming a false sense of security. Hearing your assessment of the situation (really loved the in person and the added commentary in editing!) was something I found sobering and really added gravity to how dangerous what you're doing really is. Stay safe!
I love their dynamic. Most people would try to convince and make people uncomfortable about not doing something (at least that's how i remember stuff like this with friends and stuff), he instead just says: "if you're not comfortable don't do it."
thankyou gents... i'm glad both your common sense and experience prevailed on this one! call me selfish but i want to keep on enjoying your adventures and for that to happen you both have to stay healthy and in one piece!! there's always another mine to explore!!
Free climbing that second mine really made me nervous, that looked deep and near vertical! Sketchy old ladders, trusting each rung with your life, be careful guys!
Gly and Mr M . As a rock climber for over 25 yes I have found ....YOUR GUT INSTINCT...is your best friend . Enjoy the rope work, and keep the awesome adventures coming 👍. Pete Australia....off rope 🙂
There is a lot of significant movement going on around the world at the moment with multiple volcanic activities Stay safe out there We want to appreciate your clips for a much longer period of time🙂🙂 Rest up Mr M
Awwwwww poor Mister M 😢, tell him big hugs from me and I hope his knee heals okay. That first mine was awesome but boy was it ever sketchy at that part where you stopped, I really don't blame you for not going further as it would have been just pure stupidity to do so. The second mine was really cool and it had some neat artefacts in it. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 💖
Good morning everyone! Gly, You had me worried for a while. I keep saying don't do it! Listen to Mr M...... Mr M. I'm glad you are ok! that knee is going to be sore... You guys are something for sure! LOL Don't blame Randy for not going any further... :-) Thanks for the video! LLAP
Just woke up and remembered today was Saturday. Love the video. keep up the good work. I did not realize that Nevada had earthquakes, I live in California by the way.
Hey Gly: That boulder perched precariously didn't just look sketchy - it WAS sketchy. We enjoy your Saturday visits so when that 'gut' feeling happens, pay attention. What you should be worried about is when Mary finds out you clobbered poor Mr M with a huge rock! thats serious...
Oh but those mine anyone can get into, and then they take everything historic out of. It’s the difficult mines to get into that are still going to have a lot of artifacts in them. As MUCH as I hate the guys going into vertical or almost vertical shafts, I totally get WHY they want to go where no one has gone in YEARS.
Ran into a Jenghe puzzle huh? Good decision - go back. Thanks for taking us with you so that we can see the rigors of rope work. #2 mine - looks like one LONG hole, along with a LONG ladder!! There is good & bad of having two people "going down". It sure was a "REAL" life explore and am sure glad that you are back on top. (note: clapping in the background)ha,ha Sorry that there were some "bumps & bruises" with this explore.
Oh my gosh ! That mine looks like a game of MOUSE TRAP for big people. But once its "tripped" nobody wins. Nasty looking mine guys. Im glad you decided it was too dangerous. I cringed when Mr. M got hurt. My own knee hurts now too. Between you and me some the younger people watching may not have played "Pixy-Sticks", but I was thinking "Jengo" with huge blocks. Scary stuff there guys! BUT I love this show. Feel better soon Mr. M!
I'm with Frank on the topic of using a rope whilst on those old ladders for 2 other reasons, 1. I'm assuming it would be a darn sight easier to help/recover you from the bottom of a ladder if something like happened to Mr M happened to you. 2. It seems a whole lot less time consuming rappelling down a rope than using the ladder rungs. Anyway stay safe all 3 of you and best wishes to Mr M's knee recovery.
Interesting mines regardless of how far you went into them! I look forward to your videos every Saturday while I'm doing laundry 😆! Keep up the great work! Hope Mr.M is doing better.
Yes guy a great video , so glad you went by your gut feeling . in life there are many . well done and god bless . Keep up the good work . Love all your shows . Mr M get well soon
Never Jinx it when you repel into a mine Gly ..... As you know something will go wrong! I hope Mr. M recovers soon Keep up the good work and stay SAFE! I will see you guys in the in the next episode of A&FP 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
That first mine was something else. I'd have been tempted to get the boulder free from above. It's going to come down eventually anyway, and at least this way it won't be on top of the next intrepid mine explorer who tries to get past it. That second mine looked to be a wee bit steeper than only 60 degrees, but perhaps that's just an effect of the camera. Not every mine is going to pan out, but still, even the busts can be interesting. Glad to hear the Mr M is on the mend and it's just a bad bruise!
Its sad that these mines didnt pan out I was looking forward to Randy's artifact identification, he even brought dusting brushes, sad days, maybe next mine? ;)
Great show-Long time subscriber. Your explanation of the geology is great and while I enjoy the formations, I'm always astounded by how much skill and labor it took to create all the mine's structures and components that far underground and in locations far away from any material resources.
Mr. M. ain't exactly a spring chicken anymore lol you really gotta be extra careful when he's on the rope, especially over a dark bottomless pit and you're throwing boulders down on the guy below you! ✌
Man that had to hurt, I swung my knee into the flywheel housing on my truck when I was doing the clutch, so I imagine a rock is even worse! Hope Mr. M feels better!
ALWAYS bring a first aid kit and a cooler to keep ice packs frozen. Just in case something happens again like to Mr. M he couldve used an ice pack then and there. Hope you do bring one. Yep that first mine was totally done in by an earthquake..thank goodness you didn't go in.. looked like disaster
You guys did the best thing There is many more other minds to explore we wouldn’t want to see any you guys getting hurt stay out of harms way God bless
I found two more mines on memorial day, though I wasn't looking for a trench foot monday. I wanted to thank you all at A&FP for your work. Take care everyone and have a wonderful weekend!
Wow! That first mine was definitely a widow maker! Thanks to Gly, Mr. M, and Randy for another great video.
Good decision, Randy, it's not a contest. Lots of other mines.
Yup I agree too
Yes, that was a good call. This one is a no go.
I hope Mr. M has recuperated and is back in action. Next season I want to be a stunt double for you guys. Let’s not forget Randy, the team Forensic Archaeologist, sounds like a permanent position on Gly’s team👍🏼

Take extra care of Mr. M or Mrs. M won’t let him play with you any more.
You got that right!!!!
Hahahahaha. I was going to say that!!!
Glad you decided to pull it on that sketchy mine. Yes it would have been nice to see it but safety is always first. Thanks guys!👍
Man that mine just had an eerie feel of death about it 😳 I'm glad you couldn't get any further, something about that one wasn't right.
Speedy recovery to Mr M
That was intense. Sorry Mr M got hurt☹️ Be safe guys. Be watching next weekend!🌵
I’m so sad that Mr M got hurt. It’s so interesting to see what you guys do, but your safety is the most important. Take care and be careful!
Glad to hear Mr. M is doing ok, those were some interesting (read schetchy) mines. Glad to see the three of you back together. Looking forward to next weekend.
I'm glad you decided not to go exploring further your safety is more important than the mine.
I'm glad Mr. M is ok :)
Looking forward to your next episode :)
Thanks again guys for a great video!
Win some, lose some... but as long as you still know when to walk away you will be around to explore more mines. Glad Mr M isn't badly hurt anyway!
I'm happy Mr.M is going to be alright. A rock to the knee not too fun. Glad he can still adventure in those mines.
Hope Mr M has recovered from his injury, great episode as usual stay safe guys
He did…

Intense Video.....hope Mr M knee heals well! See you next weekend
It’s my favorite part of Saturday morning!
Stay safe out there guys! Thanks for the great video! 👍🏼
That rock perched up on the wood sticks looked like something the pharaos of Egypt would have devised to keep grave robbers away.
You two are an amazing team. I would have never thought to be binging your videos but they are too amazing to see. Greeting from Germany you two and stay safe!! :)

thankyou gents... i'm glad both your common sense and experience prevailed on this one! call me selfish but i want to keep on enjoying your adventures and for that to happen you both have to stay healthy and in one piece!! there's always another mine to explore!!
Free climbing that second mine really made me nervous, that looked deep and near vertical! Sketchy old ladders, trusting each rung with your life, be careful guys!
That first one looked to me like the very last stage of Jenga before the crashing down happens! Good call!
16 o'clock here in italy and the new adventure is ready to start... Sorry to know mr. M got hurt....
I knew you jinxed it when you said “what’s the worst that can happen “. 🥴
Exactly ! Only be topped by the Sticker: " Bad desicions make good storys."
As long as they are not reckless decisions!
"Whats the worst that could happen" It could all fall down on top of him and kill him.
Gly and Mr M .

Live to explore more next time on a safer mine
I like Mr. M's dry humor
Glad all of you are safe and go to another one, Mr. M may be out of it for a week with his knee. Safety First!
Just woke up and remembered today was Saturday. Love the video. keep up the good work. I did not realize that Nevada had earthquakes, I live in California by the way.
Consider setting up your 3D camera and led lights to lower down into situations like this so you can preview what your getting into.
Sometimes third times not a charm, I'd say call it grab your gears go home and chill.you guys work hard in that desert 🌞 🤗🤗🤗
Ohhhh it's Mines O'clock again YAY!!!
Thanks, as always, for these videos.

Hi from Syracuse NY and thank you because safety first always
GLAD YOU AND MR M GOT OUT OF THAT DEATH TRAP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad you used your discretion there Gly that looked extra sketchy. Hopefully Mr. M can heal up quickly
He’s good, thank you!
i love the intros of all your videos
I like the mines that you walk into, like you used to do. More to see, more interesting. But I’ll still watch you anyway, ❤️❤️
Great one guy’s!, hope Mr M recovers quickly and kudos to Randy for giving it a go, confidence will build the more he explores, bring on the shnoz!
Poor Mr M, I m so glad you all made the right decision ❤
@15:32...Jeesus Randy!.....welcome back!

Bummer but still neat old mines to go down into, worth the effort !!

Was so glad to see you get on up out of there. Always go with your gut. It wasn't worth it. The 2nd one was interesting. Thank you.
See ya next Saturday. Hope Mr. M is recovering from the bonk on the knee ok.
I'd like to see you guys do some mine restoration, like clearing out the portals.
Why????
Every time Gly, Mr M & Randy get into a really dusty mine i find myself blowing at the computer screen.💯👍💨
Your efforts are very much appreciated good sir. I gain much knowledge while having the poop scared out of me at the same time - NICE!
Never Jinx it when you repel into a mine Gly ..... As you know something will go wrong! I hope Mr. M recovers soon Keep up the good work and stay SAFE! I will see you guys in the in the next episode of A&FP 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Mr M is super mega excited in the intro!
God bless you guys
Thank you, may God bless you too.

Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
Its sad that these mines didnt pan out I was looking forward to Randy's artifact identification, he even brought dusting brushes, sad days, maybe next mine? ;)
Glad it's not more serious of an injury... talk about sketchy once Nature takes things back! Always luv the vids!
I hope, Mr. M that you will recover quickly, nothing is worse that trying to walk on a sore knee! Some Ice oughtta take care of the swelling for you!
Shame they didn't get Mr M to some ice straight away rather than carry on with the mines...he probably would be healing quicker :(
No worries, Mr M just got bruised. He felt better the next day.
I know, right!
Well done not to go under the widowmaker Well done
All the best wishes for the recovery of Mr.M
Take care and stay alive
Yours Frank Galetzka
Man that had to hurt, I swung my knee into the flywheel housing on my truck when I was doing the clutch, so I imagine a rock is even worse! Hope Mr. M feels better!
Thank you, he’s doing just fine.
Thanks I'm new to you channel, thanks for the great videos. Stay Safe and Have fun. 🧔
You have so much equipment on it looks like you are doing Mars exploration.
I’ve been there! Didn’t go in that one too!
You guys did the best thing There is many more other minds to explore we wouldn’t want to see any you guys getting hurt stay out of harms way God bless
I found two more mines on memorial day, though I wasn't looking for a trench foot monday. I wanted to thank you all at A&FP for your work. Would like to clarify, there is skill and will power needed to find artifacts and sites in the first place!
I see that you had to put the second string into action today lol 😂, sorry to hear Mr M got hurt! Hope he feels better soon
Dust masks, people. Dust masks! Seeing the dangerous ones you can't get into is informative too; please show more of those.
I have to agree about the dust masks guys…
And knee pads to protect from falling rocks.
If you go back and look at the rail just above the sump in the second mine, you can see that where the Rungs on the ladder that are missing, you can see that something, say like a boulder the size of a bowling ball or perhaps a bit larger came down from quite a way up and bet the rail and then proceeded to tear away a bunch of Rungs on the ladder. (38:56) My bet is that if you had gone down into the sump you would have found the offending Rock that was to blame for the damage.
This is why your still functioning, when the gut says NOPE! you listen. xD
Good call stay safe your Canadian family
I agree with you on keeping the mine name out of the video.
