oh god forbid it goes over 250 grams and that one extra gram would make it a baby killer. It really is pathetic that competent people have to pander to stupid laws just to make a living. The Jenny really looks GREAT and brings a smile to my face. My grand dad learned to fly on a surplus Jenny, after building free flight models as a kid. He went on to fly as an instructor during the war, flew commercial DC-3's after the war, worked for Honeywell on flight instrumentation, helped develop ATC infrastructure and system architecture. Worked on development team for Kinder aircraft at some point in between, (Amelia Earharts's first plane was a Kinner.) and then became an instructor again at park's air college. He retired and built RC model aircraft, even fitted with cameras and altimeters, as well as other instrumentation. He would be Livid if he were alive today, to see what our stupid FAA has done to model aviation. Good thing I don't live in the US right now. this is utterly redonculous.
Thank you very much for another great model plane! Because I live in Poland I cannot afford the shipping costs so I am looking forward to the plans being published. I did look for them but failed to find them. Thanks again flite test for all your hard work you really have built a huge community. Paul
Hi Dave! This is an amazing design, I like how it self-aligns. The way the wings go together is especially great! And its so minimalistic and yet fully complete. Great job on the build video! Will there be additional instructions for the fully printed nose?
Beautiful plane and really clean build.. But what happened with the plans... Where can I found them, I remember once you said that the plans always be for free...
Love the Jenny, but doesn’t look right without cabane struts, scale wing tips and rudder. By altering the kit to reflect this will it affect flight characteristics?
If by some chance this gets re-done in the future, please don't do a Montage of cutting out pieces... watch your Edge video... pick up a piece, point to what needs to be done, and show the finished product, please.
Nice build! Instead of hot glue to keep wheel in place, suggest using a simple 3D printed friction fit wheel collar. I have used these successfully on smaller planes. Functions better and looks cleaner.
Whatever happened to free-build plans? I'm all for the kits that you sell but it used to be that you guys gave us the choice & supported the community. Please bring back that experience 🙏
Just take your time during the build and make sure you get the wings aligned with each other it is very easy to make them have a twist or worp that will change the flight characteristics. Happy building my friend!
I have a request for you guys. Is there any way you can do a video showing us not so tech savvy people how to setup the aura 5 with the flysky ST8 transmitter and receiver that you guys sell. I can’t figure it out and your instructions that come with the aura 5 are not helpful at all. Especially for someone who has never messed with rc planes before. I’m trying to figure out how to change the transmitter to sbus and I’m not even sure if I have to do that.
Yes I have already thought about it and it would be very easy to add a single servo to the cockpit area with a t control horn and push rods that go up to the top wing where you can cut in ailerons but it will put it over the 250 weight
How about just building and flying your models and enjoy what you build. If someone doesn't like it then they can go just off a cliff. I will not be governed by fools.

Thank you for the kind words my friend we are working on a solution for the plans make sure you keep an eye out it will happen.
A building instruction cannot be better than this.😊
Спасибо. С удовольствием смотрю Ваш канал. 67 лет.
Same here!
I hope the larger version is coming out soon too! Love this and very nice gesture by Josh and team... Although it took 10 years, he he... ;o)
The XL will be out shortly
Nice job David, glad to see you building that great new Mini kit!
Thank you
A great video! Watching David in this build video you can see that he is indeed a master craftsman. Listen to all his tips!
Thank you Dave, but I can't take all the credit. I have an awesome teacher along with a great team to make everything work.
Love the Jenny, how about adding ply cabanes? And I bet an Airco DH2 would be relatively interesting.
Are stl files going to be available for the 3d printed parts?

Will there be additional instructions for the fully printed nose?
It is as simple as sliding it on with a few dabs of got glue
You can also fly a 250+ gram RC plane without worrying about regulations by pretending they don't exist
🤔
Can confirm.
agreed. never give them a thought.
My man@@brianjohns924
I can confirm that
Hello Flite-Test-Team. Are there no plans available to download for this model airplane? Greetings from Switzerland
Really cool plane. nice job.
Thank you

After applying the livery, was it still under 250 grams?
Is there going to be a build video for the xl jenny?

By the way Dave you did a great build video with plenty of useful advice along the way.
It's nice you use some of the same phrases as Josh.
Thank you for the kind words
How is the coloring done? Film? Paint? Stickers? I see yellow, blue, tan, and red examples.
Nice build!

I'm taking apart my FT Flyer to provide electronics for this build. Anything I should be careful with?

Nice build.❤can I get a free plan
I love this addition to the sub-250g offerings. I currently only have a few UMX planes and the mini Scout that I can fly without a remote ID.
Looks very nice!
Still no master series zero.
Would a 4 channel be possible?
Sure, but it might put you over 250g. May be able to make some mods to shave enough weight to get it under though.

I missed the part where you tested the servo centers... 🤥
This might seem nit picky but could you please stop using the frenetic constantly repeating music? It’s annoying.
first comment😀
